still another couple months away but i would like some of the OR people to join me for the BACA (bikers against child abuse) poker run....i believe it is the second saturday in august.....more details to come....just let me know if u r wanting to attend so i get an idea of how many Ohio riders to expect

Look my point is that all riders should know when and where to show up for a ride well in advance of the ride.
I rated this ride as a FAIL because we didn't do this.
So, lets fix it.
I dig on quick rides, spontaneous ones no less.
I went to the wrong place at the wrong time thinking it was the right place at the right time, FAIL!
So lets think of a way that this won't happen again.
C'Mon, it cant be that hard to do.
Maybe standard meeting points?
Common locations?

The 250 ninja is a fine bike to start on. So is the 250 Rebel, and the 250 - 500 anything from 1980 and on up. Poke around and find that perfect motor for her.
Bikes, like cats, pick their people, not the other way around.

I think O' People of little moderation, the idea is that many can share a cheap bucket of brew.
Many bottles for a cheap price.
You don't have to drink them all yourself.
But you do get to talk to those that share with you.
Thats the best part, sharing with others, like you!
If you bring 6 friends, everyone gets 1 beer for under a buck.
Still under the legal limit and with moderation.
Can you control yourself enough to have available beer and your motorcycle?
On the other hand, what would you have a Bar do?
Offer free water?
Free food?
(they do this also, depends upon the day)

yeah me and the lady was down there earlier and we both had the inclination to leave the area....there was some shady ppl down there earlier

They have everything taped off, I doubt you will get very close. You have to figure if anyone down there sees you with a piece you're fucked, CCW or not. From what I heard everyone is ok. I anyone would like for me to get more info feel free to PM me and I can check up with my buddies that I'm assuming will be down there for a while being questioned.

A thought about local rides.
You should be clear about where and when.
Most people are coming from different areas, be kind, post a map of where you want to meet.
Set a time of when you want to meet, and how long you will wait until you start the ride.
Plan your route, where can I meet up with you if I'm late?
This one was a FAIL because we did not do this.

Odd I went to the Taco Bell between 9th and 11th st.
I was there at 7pm.
There was a bunch of bikes there, so I pulled up and introduced myself.
Then after about a 1/2 hour I figured out they were not us.
Nice people all the same but, not us.
They never heard of Ohio Riders.
Nice to make new friends.
I give this ride a "FAIL"
Why? Nobody knew what or when.
There was no fail/fallback to go for.
I had a nice ride all by myself for three hours.

its the taco bell on south high street jst south of osu campus..i cant remember what other steets are near...i know its jst north of 5th ave...sorry not that good with directions
