    FYI to whoever asked, if you were being serious, there was maybe 2-3 places we went that didn't accept credit cards... and I use Discover. Only places that didn't were maybe 1 of the tiny gas stations we had to stop at (we do that a lot with the harrdly) and maybe a food place we stopped at once... but there was always an ATM within a mile

    Answering earlier question before this thread went all OR... with an Ohio and PA non-resident permit you're covered in GA and all the states on the way down (as Pauly pointed out) Last time we went, 2 of the 3 of us carried.

    Pauly, Bad, and myself stayed at Dragon's Rest Cabins in Robbinsville for our first trip down... dry county... Fontana Village DOES sell alcohol, and the gas station/corner store sells cases.
