  3. nail hit on the head. Most people look at you like your insane when you tell them what you've spent on suspension. Until they ride a bike thats properly set up..
  4. I've bugged ^ this guy pretty regularly. Great guy. Always willing to give his input and thoughts. He's also done some work at my house and did wonderful.
  5. Any interest in getting rid of them?
  6. It's a triumph- if you could zoom in on the engine case you would see a triumph logo. Back then, the shifter and rear brake were swapped!
  7. Silly questions- what are the tires, and how are they?
  8. I'm in the midst of connecting to natural gas, new furnace, new AC, new ductwork, the whole shibang. Lets just say, I could build a fantastic motorcycle.
  9. How do you like that master cylinder?
  10. When I spoke with him, he said it was a 350. The guy was 72 years old. He was traveling through, and heading to barber next. I don't recall what he was driving, but he had a very nice black enclosed trailer. We chatted for 1/2 hour or so between sessions. He tried to tech both bikes, but the one in the back of the picture, did not pass tech due to a leaky fork seal. He was having some ignition issues with front bike. He pulled off in the second session with a fouled plug. He was back the third session, and rode the rest of the day problem free. Cool old guy. P.s I made my above posts from my phone, and realized I didn't type worth a shit!
  11. I used to use kero, and a brush, and all this shinanigans. I attended the "pokey school of chain maintenance" not too long ago, and he changed my ways. I now do as he stated above.
  12. 400ex is the way to go IMO. I loved mine. Sometimes i wish it were still in the stable.
  13. heavier bar ends are the way to go. A machinist friend of mine made me some super heavy stainless bar ends for the fz1, you can't even tell its running.
  14. My second track day there was a who was 72 on a yamaha rd 350 running novice. On the straight he would get passed like crazy, and once hit hit the tighter stuff at putnam, he immediately started making passes again. That same day, there was a women who'd never ridden on the street, and a fellow who was 66 on a triumph tiger.
  15. I have the same issue. I've never been so Giggity , until my first track day at putnam. Second putnam day, I was a lot more focused. Mid Ohio , I can't wait.
