34... the Trail Ridge Road through Rocky Mountain NP?
-
How is the pavement condition of 250 south of Cameron? The last few years it's been in horrible shape between Cameron and Hundred. What a shame,250 is such a good road when it's in good condition.
-
If you are in the Hawks Nest area go across the river at Montgomery and head out to 61 at Deep Water. The really good part is only about 5 miles long, but I think you'll like it. I haven't been over there for a couple years so I don't know about the road condition.

Damn,I love new tires!

I would gladly trade any Ohio pro team championship for a national title in football for Ohio State.Go Bucks!!!

This thread shows what is wrong with American culture...so many people are looking for some angle instead of just doing what they said/ signed they would do.If you play the storage card I hope they counter with motorcycle rental card since you have been using it. Like Tonik posted...if you can buy another bike you can pay for the one you signed your name on.Just do the right thing,it'll be better in the end.Besides,I wouldn't want to be riding a motorcycle with a boat load of bad karma following me around.

The voice of reason. Paper maps are still the best, especially if you're exploring a new area looking for twisty roads. The only thing better is a well informed local rider.

The part that had been chipsealed is south of Ringgold,it hasn't been paved yet. That area is supposed to be paved this fiscal year.I usually don't ride the Ringgold to Chesterhill section of 555,but I rode it Sunday to see if they had started paving yet. There wasn't any indication that they would be paving soon.

I agree with that. Most of the other complaints can be said about nearly every good road in SEO.I always thought blind corners and hill tops were just part of the attraction of riding in SEO.I'm sitting here running through all of the good roads down here and I can't think of one that doesn't have blind corners.I don't really care about how well they're marked,I quit relying on suggested speeds a long time ago.I can think of roads where relying on those signs can get you in trouble. As for gravel and debris in the road, again, you can have that every where down here. These are rural roads used by farmers, hunters, oil workers, loggers, off road riders and pot growers, just to name a few...dirt will get tracked on the road.Driveways?I don't know if 555 has anymore than most roads. As for the road condition of 555 from Zanesville to Chesterhill...I just rode this Sunday. As I said in another post the Muskingum county section was paved last fall. The section that is shared with 669 was paved about three years ago.Portersville to Ringgold is older, but still pretty good.South of Ringgold is the same as it ever was.So the northern part of 555 is about as good as it will ever be. I like the northern section of 555 from Zanesville to Ringgold, but then again I ride it at least weekly.I know what to expect and what to look out for. From Cannelville road to Ringgold would probably be in my top 10 SEO roads.I like tight tricky roads, high speed sweepers are fun,but I prefer the tricky stuff. To each his own. I wish more people thought like you guys,I could have 555 from Zanesville to Ringgold all to my self.

To Aerostich or not to Aerostich, that is the question.

That's what I did.I always wanted to cross the Machinaw Bridge and ride "The Tunnel of Trees" road in Northern Michigan so I went up through Michigan then West into Duluth. After getting fitted I went up to Hibbing to check out Bob Dylan's hometown. If you ride your bike up they will have you try on different size suits while sitting on your bike to make sure of proper fit for you on that bike. The girl that worked with me on my fitting spent close to an hour fitting different suits and showing me possible color combinations.I highly recommend riding up for a personal fitting.Personally,I wasn't going to spend close to $1300 and take a chance on a good fit. -
You might just get your wish,or at least most of it.Some of the middle section is slated to be paved this fiscal year.I'd have to check again to see exactly where.

Muskingum county section of 555 was paved last year.So you have new pavement from Zanesville to Portersville (37).Portersville to Ringgold (78) has older pavement, but still pretty good.Once you get to Ringgold and newly paved 78 who cares about 555...just head over to 377 if you want to get to Chesterhill.

I'm in the Duke station last night around midnight behind a young woman who had to be close to 400 pounds. She lays down about seven or eight candy bars and hands the guy running the register a food stamp card,he looks at me with a look of total disgust.I said,"Hey,it's the four food groups...fat,salt,suger and cholesterol." She was not impressed!

I was going to wish all the moms the blessings of flowers, cards and dinners, but since this is a motorcycle forum I'm going to wish all the mom's all the above plus miles of smooth curvy pavement without any traffic! Enjoy your day.

As usual on OR you guys are way over thinking the topic. I just get in the fast lane and go about 5-10 miles under the speed limit.I find that is the perfect speed for texting while finishing off my value meal.I have never even spilled my beer while maintaining that speed!Believe me,if there is any trouble approaching from behind they will let you know by honking, waving their hands all over the place and flipping me off. Some even throw shit at my car...good thing I drive a clunker since that last DUI.

According to the O.P. and his little cartoon you and your wife didn't work hard enough or you made shitty decisions,or both.Again, according to the cartoon companies don't fuck people, people never get sick, people never have a family crisis.Hell, according to his cartoon companies pay carpenters $25 an hour instead of hiring illegal workers and they have the choice of working anywhere from 20-60 hours a week.Is this a Disney film or what? Anyone who truly believes that cartoon explains the the America system of economic rewards is very naive and has lived a very pampered life.
