Interesting...which package level is it?

FYI....ODOT is currently paving 555 from Ringgold to Chesterhill.Last weekend they had the first coat from Ringgold to about 4 miles from Chesterhill.A fun, challenging ride on a section of 555 that is usually a POS.

Any "best of" list that doesn't have California highway 1 from Mill Valley to Uriaka in the top 5 isn't based on actually riding the listed roads. Tunnel of Trees in the top 10,yeah right.If it was in SEO it wouldn't be in my top 30 in Ohio.

If you're in the 536 area Quinet's in New Martinsville WV is good.It's a buffet style restaurant. Melman's Cafeteria in St Clairsville is good.They can be very busy at dinner time 5:00-7:00.

Hi Doc...it's good to see you riding again.Yes,I still have both the 2015 FJ 09 and a 2013 FJR 1300.The 1300 is getting most of the riding time right now(about 500 miles this year) since I'm more comfortable with it for winter riding,besides the 09 needs a front tire,which I'm putting on today. You're right in that several FJR owners also have Tracer GT's.Two of the guys I ride with bought Tracers last fall.

I would definitely get one with cruise control.It makes long rides so much more comfortable and enjoyable to be able to take your hand off the bar and move around.Even on shorter rides it comes in handy.

Speaking of you're avitar....a while ago we were on a ride and if I remember correctly you was riding sweep.Every time I looked in my mirror to see if everyone was o.k. I immediately saw your high viz helmet.That day I decided to get a high viz helmet. I now ride in a Shoei high viz yellow helmet and a Aerostith R-3 with yellow viz accents.Thanks...sometimes you can make people safer and you don't even know you did it.

I'm on my second FJR,my 04 had 104,000 miles on it when I traded it in on the 13 that I ride now.It has about 65,000 on it.I also have an FJ 09,but the FJR is my main ride.

If you haven't travelled out west before you will be amazed at the natural beauty you are about to experience.A motorcycle is the best way to experience these places...temperature changes,mountain air,360 degree views,being in the weather and environment ....are experiencee you just can't get from a car or RV.

Your dual sport will be the right weapon for the area about 20-30 miles north of Morenci...very tight twisties for several miles.If my memory serves me right there was a 10 mile stretch with a recommended 15 mph sign. Carlsbad Caverns in NM is pretty impressive if you can work it in.

I think motocat is on to something.Look at the ignition,there should be an icon for parking lights after the lock position. I found out about the parking lights the hard way in a motel parking lot in Fort Wayne.

I resemble that remark.My tax preparer figured my taxes under the old rules and then figured them under Trump's tax "cut".If I make the exact same amount this year with the same deductions I will OWE $3,382 MORE in taxes. Thanks Trump.

It might be the ergos of the bike,if not,cruise control and movement of different areas of your body might help.Most distance riders have a routine where they move one arm/shoulder for little time,then the other arm/shoulder,then rotate their back.And then work on their legs.I stand a lot on my bikes,but a lot of people consider that dangerous and don't recommend it,but movement on long rides will help. Ear plugs also reduce general fatigue and non-cotton underwear will help with the monkey butt. I'm 57 and 400 mile twisty days are still pretty common and pain free on a FJR.

I've been on some of those roads but I didn't ride that loop.From what I remember of that area I would say you'll have a great trip.I can't remember the route number I took out of Oregon but it followed a mountain stream that was so clear you could see the rocky river bed the whole way.Hells Canyon has some very good twisties as it drops down to the river.The Beartooth Pass-Chief Joseph area is some of the best mountain riding area in the U.S.!Teton has some beautiful mountain vistas from Signal Mountain and Jenny Lake.The Marina at Colter Bay is worth a stop.Great Campground there too if they still allow motorcycles on the Hiker-Biker loop.Since you'll be on the East side of Yellowstone be sure to see the Lower Lower Falls and Artist Point...Very Impressive!Old Faithfall...not so much. I stayed in Stanley OR one night but I can't say I remember much about it.Missoula MT is fun little college town.I spent a couple months working in that area back in 2006...a little south on 93 in Hamilton.That whole Bitteroot area is pretty nice.If this loop takes you up to the Kalispel/Flathead Lake/Glacier NP area you might want to take sometime and explore that area. Just a few things that I remember from that area.I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend that trip!I've heard a lot about LoLo Pass but I've never been there,I'm sure it will be an excellent ride. I don't know how much time you have for this trip,but you might want to stop in over at the FJR Forum and ask around over there about little known favorite roads in that area.The guys that live out there might set you up with some great rides,restaurants and things to do and see. Enjoy you're trip.

The SEO Ramble has been going on since 2004.The first 5 or 6 only had about 5-10 bikes show up,mainly from Ohio but also a few surrounding states.Now the Ramble draws 40-60 riders from several states and Canada. It's a very informal event,basically everyone just stays at the same motel and break up into groups of about 5 bikes and ride either pre made routes or just make their own route.About 3-4 days. A lot of these folks are pretty dedicated riders.It's not unusual to meet people that have rode in 30 states or more.

Hey Jacob...I have a pair of MG12R's I bought from someone here a few years ago.I had them factory refurbished,but I'm not looking to sell.I just bought a house with a big enough living room that I'm going to use them as my rear speakers.They're not in the same league as the 3.6 or 1.7.I came real close to buying the 1.7's a few years ago.Hard to beat Maggie's when it comes to imaging and transparency.I still listen to a lot of classic rock and Reggae so I went with Goldenear Triton 3's for the bass and dynamics.What are you driving the Maggie's with?

I couldn't disagree more.I feel I hit the lottery when I was born in America!Just don't fall into the greed trap and life in America can be pretty amazing.Just think,you could have been born in Afghanistan or Sudan.
