I'm addicted to OR, so i just go to the unread content and it pops up. Sometimes I can't help myself. I have recently left FJRforum and moved over to FJRiders. Lot of shit going down over there right now.

Lol,I know the feeling.I just like to come in here and screw with conservatives. They're so easy, just mention Obama,Clinton, guns or taxes and they froth like Pavlovian dogs.

As far as the FJR Forum, that stuff seems to happen every few years.I don't go there to often any more.

Yes, but once the election is over, most people take off their imaginary political expert hat, and I can at least enjoy social media and internet forums without having to dredge through the arguing BS.

Just don't come to the politics sub forum,or just go over to the FJR Forum, they wisely don't allow politics or religion.

This entire post is what's wrong with the system.

If you're a Christian and you vote for Trump, that's some serious suspension of disbelief. I'm not a fan of the religious right in this country, but I have to admit, they've sure surprised the shit out of me this election season. I can only imagine the head shaking God is doing over the notion that his beloved children are actually going to vote for someone like Donald Trump. Pretty much the opposite of Jesus' example and the fundies are just loving him. Just even more evidence that Christianity is bullshit. None of you believe any of it. If you did, you'd act like it.

This is why I'm loving this election. If you're looking for God you will never find him/her/it in politics. If you read the bible it was the politicians that killed Jesus, both the religious politicians and the governmental politicians. There is nothing new under the sun,but yet the republicians always tried to claim the moral highground and look down their self righteous noses at us libs.By supporting Donald Trump the farce has been exposed...the republican party is NOT the party of God.There is no party of God.As the great Noble winner Bob Dylan said,'politics is the work of Satan."

Ok, I am an anti politics kind of person, try to stay out of it as much as humanly possible. Last time I checked, the president isn't the only person that votes on laws and stuff. Sad part is most people don't even know the names of the representative or senator candidates, including me. I can't wait for the shit show to be over.

I wish it would be over too, but it will never be over. After the election it will just move on to congressional investigations and slinging shit back and forth... same as it ever was.

I'm just going to enjoy my shit sandwich.Got any mustard?

Voting for someone with no chance is a "makes you feel good topic."

Keep feeling special and let me know when it really actually makes a difference.

And just a way to side step blame.I can already hear them after the election..."I didn't vote for them."

  6. Since you have worked construction I was going to suggest either construction management or safety coordinator on large projects.I took a look at your profile and I noticed you are 23.At 23 the possibilities are limitless!Take a hard look at what you like to do, maybe get some assessment for career training.Move if you have to,but don't just settle. If you don't like what you do for a living it's going to be a long shitty trip,I don't care how much money you make.Don't rule out school, there's over 300 million people in this country, you need to set yourself apart with skills or education. You might very well be able to get financial help with school because of your accident.Train hard, work hard, keep a good attitude, help others and go for what you want.

I'm looking at this from the opposite side of the career path...I'm 56 and will be retiring in about three years.I know you can't imagine 56 from where you are now,but believe me it gets here A LOT faster than you think.Make some good decisions now and you can have a very good life in this country.Good luck!!!

    Pics, please?! Or links?

I only snapped a quick few of a Wayne National Forest campsite area, & the obligatory shots from Kiedaisch Point Park overlook 3 miles off 536. The ridgetop vista imagery is very well burned into my brain, however... 255 about 60%-75% in southbound nearing the river I believe I'd say had the best of all views.

Route 78 of course is always going to be at or near the top of the list, several Vistas from the Burr Oak State Park entrance to just past "the barn" picnic table overlook...

There was one other spot where I caught some epic ridge views of huge hills off to the north that blew my mind. Maybe it was Lowell Hill Rd, maybe 530, maybe 676? Heck I can't remember. It was quite an awesome ride...

Denny I may have to try to rope you into some of my rides next season. My only remaining friend who loves going on 10hr rides with me just moved to SC... all the rest of my buddies prefer 3-5hr rides at most. Riding to and from 536 the quickest rpute from Columbus plus one pass on 536 is nearly 6 hours round trip... I REALLY REALLY liked that road now...

We just need to keep it civil and keep the rev's down on our bikes as to not piss off all of the residents by very audibly alerting them that bikers are fully aware that the road is up and running great again...

I'll try to get some pics up either tomorrow or Sunday. It's been a long time since I have tried to post pics on this forum,so we'll have to see how it goes.

It sounds like a great idea to meet up for some riding next year.I know we both like the same type of roads.

We can either accept the facts, or live blissfully by ignoring them and only facing what is very blatantly clear to one's own eyes without thinking any deeper about the rest of society, & how things came to be the way they are.

What was that old cliche, "knowing is half the battle?" I can't recall exactly what that pertains to, but it pertains to this fairly well. Those reaping the benefits of the privilege that they are living with, without considering anyone lower than them on the social or economic ladder, and the situations that cause that, are the ones choosing to live in blissful ignorance. Often while pointing the fingers at others calling out their apparent ignorance, which is far too inappropriately blamed on the individuals, but instead, the real cause was far too often brought about by generations oppression, economic hardships, social inequality,  etc.... understanding how and why things are the way they are in this society is very important, but those that have it easy choose to ignore it for the most part. They also far too often are quick to point the finger and shout the L word, accusing people of being a liberal when they are just really looking out for the betterment of humankind as a whole...

I definitely don't typically side with Republicans, NEVER with that fool Trump, but I don't really side with Democrats very much either. They are the lesser of the two evils in my book. I'm not terribly religious either, I do my own thing which I believe to be *usually* the most appropriate way to live a morally just life (hey, we all make mistakes and we're all sinners to some extent or another). I did however find this very amusing:

None of us were alive when all that shit happened, so if you want to guilt trip the people responsible for that you need to visit a graveyard. This is the people we are today:

Self-serving greed? You meant to say, "the most charitable nation in world history", right?

Right.I'm sure the native Americans, slaves, indentured servents, Chinese,Irish might have different view of our charitable nature.

  11. The two yahoos we have to choose from for president is just another indicator of a society that is sick to it's core.

Self serving greed made this country great and it is now destroying it...sort of live by the sword, die by the sword.

  12. I noticed you are from the Cincinatti area so the ride I'm about to mention might be a little to far east, but it's such a good ride I have to mention it.Starting on 33 near Logan take 374 through the Hocking Hills area to 56.374 goes by Old Man's Cave and Ash Cave, both are beautiful this time of year.Once on 56 head east to 691 and go north. At Nelsonville 691 will end at 33,go straight across 33 and you will be on 78.78 is one of the best roads in all of Ohio, especially from Glouster to Malta.Once you get near Malta you can either stay on 78 over to 83 north to I70,or go even farther east on 78 and pick up I77 at Caldwell.Another very good option...near Malta you can turn off 78 and go south on 377.377 runs along a ridge line for miles with nice open sweepers all the way to 550.At 550 you would be some what near Athens where you can pick up 50 or 33 and start heading west.

From where you live this would be an all day ride, but it's hard to top 374,78 and 377,especially this time of year.

  13. A big happy birthday wish to Chuck Berry who turns ninety today!Mr Berry is at the top of a handfull of people who created rock and roll and changed history. When he walked into Chess records in Chicago to record at the studio where Muddy Waters was recording American, and world music, was forever changed.

Thanks Mr Berry, you have made my life a MUCH better trip!

  14. BTW, you might get better results at the independents or small shops than you will at the big dealers.I can think of two times a small shop and an independent got me back on the road when the big guys were going to leave me hanging. One was just in July ...thank you K&B of Petaluma, kiss my ass Yamaha of Santa Rosa.

Thanks man. I think I will be ok, big dealer 5 miles from here. And like 3 independents within 20. Worse case i will kick in my trip insurance and U-Haul it home.
