  1. Ohhhh, I skipped over that part before. Now I see your extra concern. I thought you was picking up a cheap bike, not trading your current bike for it. That is a different story then. I would look at your trade and value it honestly to what you could sell it for, then look at his for what you could honestly buy it for + how much money will be needed to get it into decent running condition.
  2. http://www.caswellplating.com/aids/epoxygas.htm I have heard of other brands of this also that works like a champ.
  3. Hoffa Just remember I bet the guy will come down on his rice some. He wants another bike, a running bike and if you have cash it will make his dreams come true faster!
  4. A friend of mine picked up a v45 magna for $400 a few months back. All it needed was the carbs rebuilt. It was a nice fight getting them out. I redid 3 carbs and let my friend do the 4th one. After putting them back on the intake and installing the whole assembly she ran but leaked like a sieve!! I pulled it all out and guess what? My buddy failed to put the needle back in the jet and it was just laying in the float bowl. Needless to say I was not happy. It was easier to put the carbs back on the 2nd time though. LOL *FYI The price was 400 due to it being rednecked out with homemade flame paint on the tank, etc. It is great mechanically but cosmetically looks like ghetto trash. If yours
  5. They make sealers that you dump into the tank tha thave worked well for years. Most custom built tanks are sealed as it ensures no leaks from poor welds. The carbs are a mother to get off but once you have done it a few times you learn the quirks to getting then on off. Price doesnt sound hateful if it is in good shape.
  6. The government doesn't have a vested interest in used parts, only new cars. I see the plan and how they expect it to help the new car market. I see the pros and cons of this all. I don't plan on trading my 4500 paid in full vehicle that can be maintained cheaply for a new vehicle with a 5 year note. Long term it isn't a wise financial decision for me.
  7. I think people will just buy a $100 beater off of craigslist to trade in to get the credit, leaving less cheap used cars out there for those with little cash and not credit worthy. It is a joke.
  8. Nice, He should have taken more frustration out on him instead of the table. LOL
  9. Selection is excellent down there.
  10. :flingpoo:Sweet yammy, is that the new WR?
  11. I don't care for shopping in store either. Don't get me wrong the service I have received has always been great and they have most anything you will ever need.......if you can find it. I am not sure if it is set up by vendor due to vendor requirements or what, but it is a poor layout. Imagine going to the grocery store to look for ketchup. You come to the isle that has Heinz. You scratch your head and say WTF where is the Hunts? You pull out your handy dandy MAP to find out that the brand you want is on the other side of the store. Umm yeah, screw that. I think it should be layed out by item and then subdivided by style, then price, then brand. Great stuff if you have a day to kill looking for it. But I should stress, I have always had great friendly service and they do have great pricing on things.

  13. On that note there I do object, I just rip right out the gate being a arrogant bastard., but that is all I know.
  14. Glad to hear your OK and you was wearing the gear. Too many times I see people in sandals/shorts/teeshirt with passengers nonetheless! Hopefully your insurance co is quick and you can be bike shopping by tomorrow!
  15. Let's say the cop just knocked on the door frame of the OPENED door after receiving a call of a break in. A guy comes to the door claiming to live there. Responding cop is dumb and lazy (like the haters want him to be) and just says OK and leaves. Then homeowner gets shot buy actual burglar. I bet Gates would be suing the cop for not checking that his home was safe. You cant win here.
  16. I am sure you can get a new jug or even put a sleeve in it. lol
  17. Two stroke engines do not have typical valves like 4 strokes. They have an inlet valve aka reed valve. Do some google searches and read up a bitabout your bike and 2 strokes. They are really easy to work on. They tend to need rebuilt more often but it is cheap and easy. Have a blast, the two stroke power on those little 125 is addicting. You go from a no torque at all wimpy bogg, to screaming as pulling power in a blink of an eye!
  18. Hell get some jb weld and slap it back together! A bike beats a video game any day of the week! Only advice I have is use good 2 stroke oil mixed right and have a blast!
