  1. I'm getting the impression that there are more and more people in a bad situation these days; probably out of a job. I keep seeing all kinds of bikes, cars, trucks, lawn equipment, boats, you name it, out on the side of the road with for sale signs. That just sucks.
  2. You know, I was going to go out riding this weekend, but I think I might just stay home. After last weekend I might not be up to it! I had a bunch of motorcycles and cars coming in my lane last weekend- a few close calls within 2 hours.
  3. That is badass. He almost doesn't get his feet on the pegs before the end of the 1/4.
  4. I think much of that is a stretch, but I was surprised about the verse referring to a thief breaking in at night. Interesting read.
  5. Not too shabby. I know the C-50 Suzukis will only do about the same, even with more displacement.
  6. I mean, killing, even in self defense, is not in the bible. So many American Christians don't make that connection. Not to say that I wouldn't do it if I was threatened, but what is a pastor doing carrying?
  7. Insurance company's sole purpose is to try and not cover you by any clause they can come up with. It makes them more profitable. The guy that sits next to me at work had a procedure done, and another doctor from the same practice filled in for his doctor. Guess what... doctor wasn't on the group "plan"... CHA-CHING! $2k bill.
  8. and true. What does carrying a gun have to do with Christianity anyway? I'm still trying to figure that one out.
  9. Nice... sounds like it's finally getting the proper attention.
  10. I fly every now and then for work, but never that far. I had a little bit of a fear of flying before I started doing it often, but it's always ok so far... even fun. I always have a couple drinks before I get on a plane... helps me to relax. If they're not sending you first class and you're tall, try to get an exit seat. There's nothing like riding for hours on end with your knees buried in the seat in front of you. My cousin is just getting back from Germany after being over there for a few years. He and his family loved it over there, for what that is worth. It's a great opportunity for you... enjoy it!
  11. Welcome. I grew up mostly in Stow, lived in Cuyahoga falls some, went to Kent schools some. Any of those areas are good and close to Tallmadge. It depends on your income and how much you value privacy and quiet. Hudson is the ritzy community, Stow is trying to be Hudson, and Cuyahoga Falls is trying not to be Akron. I ended up way out in Paris Township for the cheap land and far away neighbors, but I commute 45 minutes to work in Streetsboro. For me it was a good trade-off. I like quiet and open spaces. If you want to ride the good roads, let me know and we'll go south and east some weekend for a little twisty action. It will take about an hour for you to get to some decent riding.
  12. It's easier on tires too. Don't have to use 80% of the tread. Geez... with 10K in 7 years, did your tire dry rot before you wore them out?
  13. I've wondered about that too. I usually take the bills to someone in HR at work or call the insurance company and submit it to them myself. It's pretty common. I seem to remember Children's Hospital billing us like that after an emergency room visit for one of the kids.
  14. Where else you going to get it? Oh... you said cLock... nevermind.
  15. Not that I disagree... Mobil1 is my first choice (if I wasn't so cheap).
  16. More importantly... can a V-star 650 really go 110mph? At the risk of (in the hope of) starting an oil thread... Rotella.
  17. maybe if it were scooters where your legs are tucked in. Nobody likes a scooter anyway.
  18. no doubt... a good track bike. I have been riding my bikes rain or shine due to blown brake lines on my car, so I know what you mean. Still plenty of time before the snow flies.
  19. No, the herpes test is not covered by worker's comp.
