I have been seeing the previews for this all night. I didnt get to see what real gameplay looked like though. I am not a huge gamer but it caught my eye.

I found ohhh about a half dozen leaks from the IC boots. I tried to tighten down all the clamps at the track but I guess they were swolen enough that they wouldnt go any tighter. I got a few turns on each clamp. I am still working to make sure I get them all sealed. Its crazy how a little bit of that air getting past the system will kill the ability to build any boost. I think I have reached the end of life for the stock boots but I am trying to make them hold out until I upgrade the IC. I will get a set when I buy an IC so I do not want to pay for two. It really sucks that an IC for my truck is $1,200.

I thought about lighting my shit on fire as well. I was almost hoping that no one actually got any pics or footage of it. :lolguy: I will not be at anymore track days until I get these bugs worked out and have a few solid runs. I should have left my stock turbo on and been 2 seconds faster.

I am going to really look into some of those safes. All the ones I have ever looked at have seemed like they would be a bitch to get into quickly. I would not mind having all the guns in the house and put away if I knew I could access them with ease.

I think I know where about you are talking, do any of your cars sit outside?

Beats my best 2.9 lol

Thanks, I am seriously bummed that it couldn't have performed better tonight. Next time I am going to bring my stock turbo along as well so I can atleast insure that I will be able to at least be in the 13s. I am also going to make sure that I don't throw everything together last minute so I have more patience and actually bring my tools. I was so confident I wouldn't need them today as well as things were running.

Thanks, but I was planning on seeing something more like 12.6 by the end of the day. I have a bunch of codes in the ecm as well. I will be back at the track soon.

I'm pissed. I ran 15.4 at 100. I couldn't get it to built boost off the line. It was fine this morning. I think I have a boost leak but I didn't have enough tools and such to really mess with things. I was pushing half the boost as I normally do. I feel like a jackass.

Save me a seat at breakfast lol. I'll be comin in hot!

The weather looks good enough I'm going to least show up this time. I'm hauling ass home from work in springfield now so I can put some brakes on real quick. They decided to stop holding boost at the line. I also just remembered I forgot to get battery hold down bolts for both my batterys. I have to try to find some long ass bolts so I don't get nailed during tech. I also forgot to finish my lock up with and to get my fueling box reflashed. My trucks going to be a full second slower than I though by the end of today with all the shit I forgot lol.

I understand the method of teaching safety and proper exposure because that was how i was raised. I had the opportunity to shoot multiple times a month as a child and was given my first .22 rifle very young. It somehow never fully eliminated curiousity. This is what scares me. You can trust your children as well but i feel you can only trust an extent based on level of maturity and age. Maybe I am a little paranoid being that I am a father now but I know it only takes one lapse of judgement on a childs part to turn into a very bad situation. And let's face it, at the end of the day they are still children. Right now I feel as though you can never fully eliminate the possibilities of a bad situation. Is it worth the chance for a childs life? I know I turned out fine but many children do not.

First of all, I didn't want to shit on the other thread and take it a different route but it motivated me to want to talk about something that's been on my mind. Basically what I really want to know is how you guys incorporate your weapons into your house with kids. I used to keep guns everywhere when I was younger and never had a worry. I am a newer father now and the thought scares the shit out of me. My 5 year old LOVES guns. He is obsessed with them. I feel like I could teach him how to be around them responsibly but in all reality you can never be 100% sure nothing will happen. I have another child on the way as well so I'm even less unsure. I want to be able protect my family in any situation I would have to but how do I make my weapons accessible yet safe? I barely keep guns in my house right now but I want to, especially my carry gun. it usually stays in the car. I just want some opinions. especially from the "seasoned" fathers. how do I expose my kids to guns but ensure they respect them enough to leave them alone. I was brought up around them but I remember times as a kid that I would sneak and screw with them. that's what I don't want. I know it only takes one time. this is where I start to question whether its worth it or not.

This is one of the things I had on my list to do. It seems as though the times i try to do this, the truck wont miss. It has been doing it a little less lately and i don't drive it much. I am limited on diag equipment while I am away from my full time job and I don't have a scan tool anymore. I am going to start with the basics and easy stuff to narrow it down I guess. No experience with fuel pressure regulator causing similar symptoms?

Yeah ok I lied, this is what I would do because it would just come natural! Except I would be on CR during the battle to tell everyone how sweet I am.

Family at safety with a good defense is the best offense in my opinion.
-
You watch though, tom it work pour like hell
-
No that^^^ is stock turbo. That is gone and replaced by much, much bigger.
-
This weather watching shit is exhausting me!
-
It is something like a 56/58/12 or something along those lines I believe.
-
Thanks. When I start to think about how much money I have invested in it, there is many times that I could believe stock is much cooler. Hopefully the rain holds out. Either way, the brakes arent going on until I get home from the base. So I prob wont be done and ready to go with the truck until after 8.

Dover I know some people in different agencies. I have had a couple friends go with FBI. Some made it and some did not. You know one of the guys. We partied together. He is now in the FBI and has a Intel degree from OSU. He also tried secret service and CIA. I'm sure he could fill you in personally. You WILL have to get a degree first, and you will have to give it a year or more to go through the process of getting accepted and hired on. Call me if you want more info about it. I might be able to get you a state security job out here at the base if you are interested.

I bet most of that ski is salvageable

Yeah you act like you are in another country Wouldn't a coil most certainly throw a code when missing that much for that long? Especially with all the extra fuel coming through.
-
I was hoping some people more experienced with these engines could chime in with some tech info. I know AJ has prob had plenty of time with these. Anyways, my wifes tahoe has a new fuel pump, plugs and wires. All of this was done a week before I bought it. Since I drove it home from buying it I noticed the miss at stoplights and upon accel when leaving stoplights. It will shutter and cut out like a coil not firing until about 1500-2000rpms or so. Some times it will go away and be fine for awhile but there are times it is worse than others and feels like its going to shake apart at the light. It only does it in drive. The only codes I have found were p0446, which seems to be common after replacing fuel pumps and is usually the vent valve rather than the canister. The code goes away after about 200 miles and will come back after another 200 or so. Since I am on orders and away from work, I am very limited with diag tools. My initial thoughts were maybe a vacuum leak at the intake, throttle body, or fuel pressure reg. Any ideas or common issues that you guys know of before I start trying to test everything down to the bumpers?
