I use advanced task killer. Many people don't realize that you can set it to automatically close tasks. Mine is set up for every half hour. I also have brightness down, GPS off, WiFi off, and internet off. I have the EVO 4G and I have made it 50 hours without a charge on minimal use. A normal day with internet use will consume 40-50% battery.

Potential new look of the IPSVette AtomicFusion

Completely understand. Just wish there could be a better way to go about it. The car is just so clean. Either way, I look forward to seeing what it has going for it in the future. -
Such a big ass box and heavy as hell! http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk251/XChris1632X/IMAG0180.jpg http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk251/XChris1632X/IMAG0188.jpg So damn heavy all put together. I am happy with the product for the most part. There are a few things I wish could be different but I guess thats with everything. I cooked some ribs the other day and it could have went better. I got the grill up to 250*. Put the ribs in the rack and put them on. The ribs were heavily smoked with apple wood chips for the first hour. After that I checked them, sprayed with apple juice, and added more charcoal. It smoked for two hours at 250. Sprayed with more apple juice and wrapped in foil. Cooked for and hour and 15 mins or so. Took them out and I was only getting 130* in the meat. I let them cook for another hour and they never got over 130. They looked great and I couldn't resist it so I just ate them. They tasted amazing but were a little tougher than I had hoped for. Part of me is thinking that some of the problem could be the exhaust. I know I should extend the exhaust down to the grate so they can cook more evenly. Is this my only problem? What else did I do wrong? It was windy out by I also went through almost a whole bag of cowboy lump charcoal cooking these. I didn't think it should take that much.

Went back to stock charger today with a 14/19 prop. Again, I was more than impressed with what I found. I still had almost a full tank of fuel from last year. After riding for a a good 20 mins already she was already pretty heat soaked. I was seeing 7950-8000 rpms and still hit 75.7 mph. I didn't take my tools or parts with me so I couldn't switch nozzle rings. I feel like I could have picked up another .5 mph with 8120 rpms and a 83mm nozzle ring. I personally didn't think I would ever see speeds like this with this setup. 1 hour later into the night though and I couldn't get over 74. RPMs where down to 7800-7900 and it was HOT. Shanton was pushing a consistent 66mph but was down on RPMs, and our budy was running 68 and was down on RPMs a little but not as bad as Shanton. Might be time for a few new wear rings.

I personally think the car looks best the way it is now. Such a clean bad ass car. Every drag car is loaded with stickers and a huge hood. I just prefer the looks of one that isn't. -
Shanton you still looking to go out Monday? I have been working on the ski and only have one more thing to finish before its de-tuned and ready for water.

No its another buddy of mine. He called dibbs on it awhile back. I have not found any other impellers yet but I'm still going through some stuff. I guess I will enjoy having the fastest jet ski for one last day lol.

As many know I have been on a quest for more power and to hit the 80mph mark on my ski. Somewhere along those lines my ski influenced a couple other people on this board and gave them the same fever for these skis as I had. I have had many tuning issues through the last couple year but I was also the first in the area to start modding mine and I didn't have much help. In reality, I was part of a few hundred that started modding these. Now there are thousands and most people have easy recipes to follow. Through trial and error I had previously managed the best of 76.4mph (when I had my GPS to confirm at least). However, I knew it had more in the current setup but I was always having to change or tune something else. After about 73mph, these things can get very touchy and a pain in the dick to mess with sometimes. I am sure many have seen that following Linns thread. I hit the lake up for the first time of the year. It was very windy and mostly choppy with a few seconds of smoother water here and there. I had a full tank of old fuel from last year. I have done a little bit of work to the ski here and there, including a re-pitch of the prop, but I wasn't really out to get a speed reading. I just wanted to play around a bit and stretch its legs. What I found was more than shocking to me. Especially with considering conditions and weight. I hit a new all time best http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk251/XChris1632X/Toys/Hayden/IMAG0189.jpg The ski was pulling consistant 76-77 with a few 78mph spikes. After I saw this I tried and tried to break 79mph mark but I couldnt do it. I was mostly at 8120rpms but it was I saw 8150 a few times. I don't know if this was putting me on the limiter or not. It would have been perfect to swap one of my other nozzle rings in to bring the rpms down but I didnt bring them with me. I might have broke 79 then. Either was this is all the ski has with this prop in my opinion. I know it is not the correct prop for me and there is no more pitching better either. With the correct prop and a few other things I had planned to do the ski would have easily seen 80+, but I think I am hanging it up. This was prob my last ride with this charger and prop setup. My buddy is buying this setup from me and we are going to hash it out on his ski. Im having a baby later this month and ongoing projects with my truck, boat, and house are too much right now. I am going to leave some of the mods on my ski and maybe in the future I will go bigger again, but for now it will be fun on stock charger. I don't imagine I will even put more than 10 hours on the ski this year. Infact, I have been trying to almost convince myself to sell it and buy something newer when I have more time/money, but I just have too much everything in this ski to part with it yet. For now my quest is over. I guess if I found a killer deal on a bigger charger I might consider it, but I am forcing myself to be content with this. Linn, now you know where the bar is set I guess. Hope you can put the finish on it and make it to 80. laugh too hard when you see my little ski topping out at low 70's from now on.

My father in law might have some in stock. If you can send me the details I can ask him
-
See I saw a couple people do it a little differently and was originally thinking of going that route but i dont know shit either. They put the ribs in a rack in the barrel with Apple juice/water underneath in a pan but the firebox was cooking at a solid 225-250 for over 4 hours. They also used no foil. I know there has got to be 100 different ways but how can smoke get to them well if there is foil on them.

For those of you that keep recommending dyno tunes, you need to read his post better. There is no argument that a dyno tune would net him the most/better power, but he doesn't have many mods right now, is working with limited amount of money, and he is also looking to throw more at it in the future. For someone looking to slowly upgrade on a limited budget, a SCT would prob be the best option for now. A dyno tune would not be smart for someone who is looking to throw 500 in mods twice a year and not be able to afford retuning at the same time. Once the mod list gets bigger, a dyno tune would be a necessity. Either way, ditch the hypertech.

I got her all together and seasoned yesterday. Didn't have much time but I cooked some burgers. Tomorrow I am doing ribs for my first time. You guys got any tips to make my first experience cooking ribs successful? I figure it will take 4-5 hours at 250 or as close as I can get it to stay.

Motorcyclist ran off the road in KY this past weekend
XChris1632X replied to Sturg1647545502's topic in Pics and Vids
I don't understand people bitching about the motorcyclist passing on double yellow. Yes its against the law and dumb but who is the driver to enforce anything. It doesn't hurt the driver in any way by being passed there. Thats like saying its okay because the motorcyclist was speeding, or it could have been avoided if he provided lawful signal operation. Yes it is all illegal in terms of the law, but that driver was never effected by these actions. The driver even mentions doing it because he was pissed off about other motorcycles. -
Just put on hold my char-griller trio at TSC to pick up tomorrow. Think I'm going to smoke some ribs for fathers day.

They stock it there? When I was at wright patt last month I looked and they didn't carry it?

Did you get the mini rude? -
Sam if you want to check it out you can just drive to my house and we can take my boat up there and i will show you the lake. Hopefully by next weekend I will have it ready for the water again.
-
Fuck you winters, like I haven't seen or heard of your own fair share of ideas of retarded buys lol. P.S. hurry up and come home already Primo xl?! That's well over $1000!!!!!! I think I'm going to stick to something in the 300-400 range.
-
Sam if you know anyone who knows the water there you would never have a problem. I have been with many people who have boats deeper than yours without single issue. I have a lot of friends and family that lives there and uave been going for many years. I love the lake and prefer it to buckeye 100%. The key is to go up with people who know the lake/bars. On a good Saturday you would be fine hanging out at froggys and the swim up bar. Not at all.15 years ago it had some issues(nothing like grand lake st marys) but it is actually on the clean side now. It just got a bad rep along time ago. Some people still refer to it as dirty because it is shallow, which makes it muddy and people are retarded. It is very much useable and it can be a bad ass party lake. The lake patrol usually doesn't bother people unless they are being retarded and give them reason to. Now is the time to try it out. I was up two weeks ago with my boat and the water was up. My depth finder was reading over 7 feet most of the time.

Nice ass boat. What year is it? I know the sunsetters are great cross-over boats and can throw down some bad ass wake with the right wake. How much ballast do you have? Thats impressive if that thing hits 51! Have fun going fast in a v-drive though, any slight ripple and its going to beat you to death lol.

what's your go to place for OEM replacement parts?

Aarrow Radiator on Hayden Run. They will make a solid repair to last for years. -
Kidney Stones and damage from methylated prohormones was horrible but the worst pain I can ever recall was an infection in my mucus sac inside my jaw. In between recovery from surgery on a tooth and my jaw, one of the mucus sacs became infected and within 3 hours of any type of symtoms, the pain was unbearable and the pressure was causing me to loose vision. The worst part was that I was going to school at Wyotech in PA and was on my way home at the Ohio border when my vision started to go. My dentist actually came in early and opened up his office at 6am for me. Vicodin 750s wouldnt touch the pain.

That was my initial thought. My wife is going to buy me one for fathers day. She said to pick out a $600 one but I was originally looking at a few $300 gas/charcoal/smoker combos when I found this. Everything I have read about people who have one say the price is easily justified. That is just a big price to pay. So far I have not been able to convince myself to take that leap.

I have mentioned it in a thread or two but I am in the market for a new grill. In my quest to pick out a new one I stumbled on this. http://www.biggreenegg.com/ The green egg is similiar to the Primo, and the Grill Dome. I have read nothing but outstanding reviews on this thing, other than one person bitching about cost. I am not the best at grilling but I love it. I want a better grill to improve my food but I have to draw the line on cost somewhere. Would anyone here even consider an $800 grill? I have done a lot of reading about them here. http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=2767&highlight=green Some people have two, a large and a medium for side dishes. Thats a shit load of money for a damn grill! Anyone have any experience? Am i completely retarded in even considering dropping $800 on one of these?

I guess this would depend on what your are trading for. I would never personally own one. The only Polaris I would ever consider is a razr. But that is just my opinion.
