Is there a chance anyone would wanna meet somewhere outside the lake? Deleware or so. I haven't spent much time at Alum in a few years and I don't remember where everything is.

Thanks for all the info. At least I have and idea of what I am getting into. I originally looked on Mitchel1 and couldn't find anything on it. I wish I had access to aldata.

Someone has been hounding me to put a new A/C compressor on their 99 sable. I haven't seen the car yet but I have heard the dual overhead cam motors are a lot harder to do than the base model motors. I am looking for a diagram or picture of the compressor location, or some advice from someone who has had some experience with one of these. I would just like some heads up or info before I try to tackle the job and get on the other side of town just to be pissed off about it. I figure the Taurus's are the same.

They were there for gasoline. That I thought was a given. I was curious as to the, Who, What, and Where kinda details.

What kind of shoes are you wearing? A lot of people think Nike is a good running shoes but I have been told by a couple runners that they are one of the worst for things like shin splints. Nike Shocks are supposedly the worst. I get them really bad also but I wear Nikes. I am not a professional, it is just what I have been told.

That sucks, that has to be a uncomfy spot to have something like that also. Good luck with it and hope it heals fast for you. Chicks dig battlescars though.

This summer the daily ride section just seems dead compared to last summer. Anyways was wondering how many people were still big into riding off road this year. I missed the last dirt day. I have been trying to make it down to Happy Hollow this year. Is anyone looking to set something up again anytime soon?

I go on Orders starting Oct. 1, but once I get my schedule I should know if I will be able to make it to track day again this time. If I get my new turbo soon instead of spectating I would love to run my truck. If you don't find anything sometime in the next couple weeks let me know and if I am able to make it I'll tow you on the way.

So finally after a 8 year break I went wakeboarding the other day. It took a couple times but I got up again. I still wasn't 100% comfortable but I will settle down I think after going a couple more times. I am thinking about buying a board though. I really don't know that much about them. What is a good board that I could pick up and where? I am about 6' and 185-190 pounds depending on the day. I am also considering buying a Ski Natique or a Moomba or something of the sorts. I even considered picking up one of the new Sea Doo boats with the rack on it but I do know that there have to be some difference in turning/handling based on the inboard vs. jet power. Someone who really knows how to wakeboard needs to take me out and help me get better quick. I can't get enough of it now.

I don't know where you have to take it but I wouldn't tow that across town with an Amigo. Where does it have to be towed? Do you have a trailer? My truck will be down on that side of town sometime later this week but I don't know how much spare time I will have.

Yeah, whats it called Fitzy's or something.

Friday mid afternoon I was headed back to the womans house on Lake Choctaw just outside of London on 70 and noticed at the gas station just off the exit there were 7 white Homeland Security vehicles. A couple were tahoes and a couple were impalas. There was also a black suburban with gov. tags on it. Just wondering if someone really important was around and if anyone ran into them. I have seen a motorcade for the governor and a few other people and it was nothing like this. It seemed a bit excesive for somone not high priority. All of the officials I saw were armed and in civilian clothing with badges around their necks. Again just curious to if anyone knew of anything.

Do you have a GPS or know of a good one to get? I have been thinking about picking one up just for the hell of it, but I don't know anything about them. I haven't got to GPS any of my water wheelers yet.

My buddy said he can get the Python with two way remote for $150 or so.

The buffer was always used for speed over doing by hand. I got this method from someone I knew a long time ago. He did quite a bit of detailing work and his stuff and my own always looked pretty good afterwards so I never had any reason to analyize or argue. I do see what you are talking about and I will definatly be looking into evolving my methods. I don't use clay bar after every wash either, only about twice a year. Recently I started using a MF mit over the sponge, is this more like what your talking about using? The only thing that strikes me funny is about loosing the zymol. I have come to be fond of it but for why I don't know. I have also only heard of people swearing by it and preaching to always use a cleaner wax like zymol. I do however understand where your coming from. What applications would you want to use zymol for? Thanks for the good tips guys. Ryan what is your opinion on a different product lineup?

With everyones recent post of detail jobs and the new section I thought it might be a good idea for some of the professionals to post of some of their methods. I know some people might not want to release all of their secrets and such but maybe just a general practice of a normal job. Maybe it can shed some light on the guys new to trying to take care of their paint. I am no professional and I realize most jobs vary based on condition but I usually follow a general routine. 1- Wash using Meguiars Soft Gel with Microfiber Sponge. 2- Clay bar the car using Clay Magics fine clay with soapy water. 3- Using a buffer and foam pad apply Zymol cleaner wax. 4- Using a buffer and foam pad polish with Meguiars Step 2. 5- Using an orbiter and terry cloth bonnet pre wax with Meguiars step 3. 6- Apply by hand 2 coats of Meguiars Paste Wax. Like I said I am no pro and things can change based on condition but I try to do this on my vehicles in the spring and fall, inbetween these it stays nice enough to just rinse off.
