No drop the crossmember and put a jack under the tranny to move it up and down for retrieval and install. I think one of the most PIA part of the engine removal is getting that tranny back in some times. I have had it slide in within 30 seconds and I have spent an hour just getting the input shaft into the pilot bearing.

I just got the Continental Sportracks. I had the pilot power. It was too soft and wore too fast. I didn't want to go as shitty as the Continental but a guy a know has ridden it at the track and said it will do for the streets. I just really needed something a lot harder compound.

Im about to get a new tire on my 954. I haven't bought a street bike tire in a couple years so I dont know what is new and good right now. What are some recomendations on a tire? I dont want the best or the worst, just something that is a good product for a good price. My Michelin rear is toast. I don't do burnouts but I think the low end + clutching up wheelies alot when I first got it ate the tire fast.

To tell you the truth I havent had enough time with my scanner to see what all it does. It is one of the cheaper blue points. I think around $300. It does have green, yellow, and red lights on it to let you know the severity of emission codes. (at least I think thats what I read)

Lol... You know I used to always get bitched at about the amount of time I spent on CR and interupting quality time, but she goes and signs up and its like she can't get enough of it. Even I can't stay on CR for four hours at a time.

I'll take a look in the morning. Every once in a while the truck stalls out going up a hill really slowly but other than that it wasn't running any differently until recently. Now it idles high on startup and just feels like it is almost missing. It is however getting better fuel miliage than ever though.

My dads 2000 dakota started throwing codes a couple months ago and has started to run like shit. I have a code reader that gave me these results. P0455 Evap emmission leak Detected (Gross Leak with no flow) P0442 Evap emmission leak Detected(Small Leak) What should I be looking for with these?

I am looking to buy a new lift kit for my truck. Right now it is 4.5 inch skyjacker basic lift kit. I swore I would never go with a skyjacker kit again but while shopping for a new lift I realized they are the only company to offer all the little things I want. The biggest thing is that I want a new spring pack instead of an add a leaf. My springs are wore out and add a leafs ride like dump trucks. I was going to go bigger but I decided to stay with 4.5 inch lift but I think I want to upgrade from the basic kit to the Dual Flex kit or the Coil over kit. The Dual flex is about $2600 and the Coil over is right around $3200. What are the benifits to going to a coil over kit? I figure if it is worth it I would spend the extra $600. The lift that is on it now is about $1200 so I am hoping there is a difference in quality between the two. My lift now has suffered wear badly. I think the winter is to credit for a lot of it, so my truck will never touch winter weather again after it is painted. Just looking for some opinions.

When you drop the tranny mount and let the trans sag a little bit there is just enough room for a swivel. Thats why I say wrap it in electrical tape, becuase it is easiest to lay behind the tailshaft and use the extension for all the work. If you dont have one it is no big deal you can still get them with little effort.

I might be trying some of those products. Bug and tar remover looks like no bullshit.
