Unless intentionally disabled, that bike is way to new to not have the safety in place. That motor will ventilate the crankcase over the next thousand miles! Way to long and way to many RPM while on its side.

Brandon many of us have been riding the street 20+ years and everyone of us would be lying if we said something like this never happened to us. This is part of riding and learning to be a better rider. Learn from the mistake, but absolutely do not let this make you ride scared! Riding scared is the fastest way to a crash. Dwelling and over analyzing will only make things worse. This is the part where you add to the respect column.

I was in, but the old man just doesn't have a 20 hour drive and ride in him. The bike is located exactly 8 hours from my place, but he is an extra 2 hours south-west of me.

Dad is going from a V Star to a Road Star, so yes, wants to be a grandpa.

Yamaha Road Star...factory hard bags and most factory options. It's big and heavy!

Keep it raw

FZ1 is way more comfortable than the VFR. I have had both and although the Honda is a great relaxed machine compared to a super sport, the FZ1 is all day comfortable, faster, and handles just as good out of the box.

Epic Gap Ride OR Annual Group Ride

We just rode this 2.5 weeks ago, it was chipped deal with a sealer over the surface. No loose stone and grip was fine. This was down 26 from 260 to Marietta.

Ivans Performance has a flash that fixes all the fuel issues and really makes the Gen2 a great bike. Stay away from 06 and 07 as they do have issues with frame welds and stators.

With no center stand... Not sure I understand why they even included it.
