  1. It's a great little shop with good long time people. Steve is the sales manager and will treat you right. Shawn Caylor the parts manager was also in sales and I have bought or referred many bike sales to them. They know BMW!
  2. They are not gone, Hayden has them and the controller on his bench. You are corrupting children and should be ashamed of your self. Like I said... the gixxer force is strong.
  3. Welcome! You have come to the right place.
  4. The difference is not just temperature. Cloudy versus sunny, precipitation versus no precipitation. Just the difference in solar load makes a huge difference in perceived temperature. Of course we just had a week of great February weather capped off with a 78 deg day which rolled right into a 35 deg day with snow. That and I need something to bitch about... we are so close to full time riding weather, the last 4-6 weeks of this shit is harder than the previous 4 months.
  5. This is why I hate anyone who loves south of Mansfield this time of year... its like NEO is a different f$!&ing continent. Somebody did something really bad along time ago and we all have to suffer the bad weather karma.
  6. And how long will you keep them because you secretly want to keep them?
  7. It's not official unless it has a 5000 series back tire.
  8. Maybe we should hold the doctors responsible for all the people who get addicted to prescription pain killers and turn to heroine for their fix. The deeper you look into the current heroine epidemic the more you realize that it's a symptom of legal drugs that have been over prescribed.
  9. This is what happens when we go from 80F to 40F in 12 hours.
  10. Agreed... they both have end games and fear tactics.
  11. For some reason I was one head change from being in full fetal position in the corner of the garage!
  12. Last time @Isaac's Papa shared one of those fine cigar gifts with me, but I think he felt bad for turning me into full tilt retard (FTR) mode at the last garage gang bang. I enjoyed both.
  13. You saw what buying and riding a gixxer did to @DerekClouser. Be carful, the gixxer squid force is strong.
  14. Someone is bringing their A game this morning.
  15. I do agree there are many similarities between the parties, but there are some pretty stark differences. When it comes to wasting money on endless environmental issues with the only end game being more control or revenue, one party comes to mind. Otherwise I agree. Keeping the troll alive...
  16. Welcome! You have found the right place if you are looking for riders as passionate as you. The members ramge from keyboard warriors who don't even own a bike to people who rode 30k+ a year. Many group rides organized here with solid riders.
  17. Look at the political affiliation of the counties still operating echeck, it makes the answer to your question easy. The only county that makes no sense is Medina, which is mostly conservative farm type people. If echeck would have made a difference than great, money well spent, but every study and report shows that it has made no difference and is why so many counties have already ditched the program. This is what happens when career politicians make decisions on stuff they couldn't even understand if it was tattooed to the back of their hand. Our entire; local, state, and federal government is filled with over educated political science or English majors that couldn't check their own oil in a car... it's too complicated for them, yet they make decisions affecting our livelihood. Scary stuff when you really think about it!
  18. This is a boilerplate response. Not a single person here has said to abolish the EPA, but rather the EPA needs a tighter leash. Too many regulations are political rather than scientific. It cost us money, either directly or indirectly and does nothing but pad a pocket or support a fringe group of lunatics for political support.
  19. Have seen many motorcycle tires balanced on a dynamic machine give vibration at high speed, remove weight and balance on a static balancer and the vibration is gone. Not sure why?
  20. No, rotors stay on and most factory service manuals require the rotors for proper balance. I have a No-Mar static balancer.
  21. I check the rim balance after dismount and before new tire goes on. Mark the heavy spot and place the dot at my mark. This results in much less weight to balance after tire is mounted. The valve stem is almost never the heavy spot on the rim, as the metal removed for the stem hole is heavier than the valve stem that replaces it. Many tires do not come with a light spot marked anymore... Michelin comes to mind.
