  1. The same color Nighthawk 650 (83) was my second road bike. Was a great bike and it also cemented my love of two wheels. As stated above, try to unstick the rings. Seafoam is also very good option. Make sure you leave the plugs out when trying to turn the motor after soaking or you will hydrolock the motor.
  2. Welcome Chris! You have to stick around until June or your opinion of this site will not be good. Being winter and little to no bike therapy, turns most of us into raging dicks. By April things get better.
  3. Wow...surprised this is still around. He may need to wait until March when the market starts to heat up.
  4. Have never been a fan of the BUELL/EBR bikes with the exception of the Ulysses. If that bike had the Rotax or current mill I would have considered. This bike would be ok if it was not lowered. As IP said, there reliability is suspect and parts availability would keep me from considering.
  5. Go to holiday park and take an airboat ride in the Everglades.
  6. I realize this may be a troll post but... When was the last time the Right or center for that matter destroyed their city and homes after being beaten in an election or not getting their way?
  7. Not really sure there is any point other than the popular vote vs electoral college rant by young people who have been let down by our education system. I see it as a tantrum.
  8. I will accept the last one, as we we democratically elect representatives to legislate on our behalf. Some like to confuse direct democracy (majority rule) with representative democracy. It has become very evident that our school systems are failing our kids, they do not understand why the founding fathers specifically added the electoral college. Also appears that people do not understand the constitution is a set of rules for the government not the people. Constitutional rights are not government allowed rights, but rather absolute rights which can not be taken away by the government. If only our education system would teach the federalist papers, we would have much less confusion as to how they framed and what the constitution actually represents. Thanks for the facts!
  9. Close, but wrong. We are a Representative Republic. There are many differences to all three.
  10. You are in full tard mode.
  11. T6 is decent oil based on oil analysis, but I too did not like how quickly it effects shifting. Good oil is all you need. The difference between $5 vs $12 quart oil will not break the bank...run what feels the best and keeps your mind at ease.
  12. Kawasaki does a demo day at Mid Ohio Vintage weekend. Although the Versys 650 is a great bike it will feel like a moped in comparison to what you are use to. I too had a ZRX and although HP is only around 115 to 120 at the wheel, the grunt and torque of that motor makes it feel like 160 HP. The 650 only has 69 HP at the crank and if you are lucky putting down 50-55 at the wheel. Torque will feel completely absent. Have not rode a 650 Versys, but have rode a 650 Ninja and it left me very underwhelmed. Do not get me wrong it's a great beginners or commuter bike, but is very heavy compared to its small engine (15 pounds more than Yamaha's FJ09 with 60% less HP). Riding one will tell you more, but I think the Versys 1000 will be a better fit if you are looking for ZRX grunt and all the amenities of a modern street bike. IMHO
  13. Going to look at the FJ09? Read your post on FZ1OA. Do not forget to look at the Versys 1000.
  14. He meant West, but will not hold that against him!

    Fall Gap Trip 2016

Nice pictures! On another note, apparently two bikes collided Saturday around 11AM and went over the side together. They were not found until Sunday 24 hours later! One died and one airlifted out. Always my worry at the gap...you can do everything perfect and someone else will take you out.
  18. I dig the true retro melded with modern technology, but I am in my 40's and loved many of the UJM's from that era.
  19. If he needs a ride, tow let me know. We can get him back to Michigan.
  20. Do not do it! They don't last and they are downright scary in cooler temps and wet. For the same money and longevity you can buy Bridgestone S20's and they will be 3 times the tire with grip, feel and safety. Just one guys opinion.
  21. Nice MX tracks both with beginner tracks... Apple Cabin Smith Road Raceway Both are in Medina. Apple Cabin is by far the better facility with 3 tracks; beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
