  3. Ethanol is not cut with water, but rather it is Hydroscopic and absorbs water just as brake fluid absorbs water. After some time, the ethanol becomes so bonded with water, that it separates from the fuel. Ethanol blend gas is a bad thing, but the only manufacturing process that is a failure is Ducati using a plastic that absorbs water and expands past the engineered tolerances of the fasteners and housing. Startron is a good product as it decreased the ethanols ability to absorb water.
  4. Your vehicles have too many wheels.
  5. It's called a dirt bike. Seriously, get a dirt bike with a clutch and teach them what you know. Go to a local MX track and let them ride and learn from better riders. You can not teach experience or feel for a bike...it has to be experienced.
  6. Ohio feels like the train capital of the U.S.. Originally I hale from the Lima area, just north of you. Train tracks and waiting on trains was a way of life.
  7. Excellent review of your trip! Glad you had arrived home safe.

The RC51 was a great bike, but compared to other bikes in its class bone stock...it was not top of the food chain.
  10. Originally from the Lima area (Bath Township), so Ada and the surroundings were my youth stomping grounds. Good roads are hard to come by, but here are a few to keep you amused... SR 12 from Columbus Grove to Findley. Hit 37 in Findley and head south to SR81 take it east to Upper Sandusky and hit 61 South all the way Indian Lake. At 117 go west and hit 235 to bring you back to Ada. The Belfountian area has some decent roads too. Old Wapak road from Rimer to Wapak is also ok. None of them compare to SE Ohio, but will get you by when you need a quick fix. Beer Barrel pizza is good, but Westgate lanes is better!
  11. Looks like a young wood spider. for sure its not a recluse, as they have a very distinctive violin pattern on there abdomen.
  12. It's crazy, at just moderate to relaxed pace, your tires will look like you just finished a 20 minute session at the track.

Everyone is missing the point...the bike is being sold as one bike globally, where there are mandated maximum HP limits, such as France which is 100HP. If you can afford the bike, you can also afford the ECU wich unleashes all the HP. All of the old school built for superbike bikes were like this back in the day...you had to upgrade cams and ECU/Spark box to get power. I still think it's a way to up Honda's superbike game and keep selling the looooong in the tooth CBR line to the general public. When is the last time Honda sold a superbike that was top of the food chain off the showroom floor? ...never!

I hope this is Honda stepping up there game at the world and national superbike series. Honda has been non existent in production based racing since the RC51 and it would be great for them to return to the uber cool days of the RC30/45. I hear rumers of Kawasaki and Honda coming back with factory teams in AMA, maybe this will be Hondas ride. We have enough talent between all the classes in AMA to bring up some fast guys, give them factory rides and fill a competitive grid in superbike.
  15. Replace the battery. The meter reading from off and on tell me the stator and R/R are good.
  16. If anyone thought this was about anything but money (taxes), you are developmentally challenged.
  17. Interested... Does it come with the box? Shoot me a pm when you have a free moment.
  18. Power Commanders also seem to fail regularly. A bad map will not work fine for years and then not work one day. Forget the PC and ride it.
