What's a short time? What improvements were needed that you are referring to?
The 26B, 3 rotor, motor would be an amazing option to see in this car, even if it were NA. If they did an NA and a turbo option, the Mazda fans would be very happy. People hung up on Apex seals as a weak point, are completely out of touch with that being a non issue for over a decade. The rotary motor most likely will always have a low mpg, because the build design uses excessive fuel use to assist in cooling. And, with modification for more output from the motor, comes more fuel demand and use = low MPG. 90% of the issues with rotary cars can be traced back to the owners for lack of maintenance, and not knowing what to do for care.
