  1. Thanks, Sean. We have a couple people for this class, but still have a couple open slots. Howard and I will be demonstrating the shooting of this course for the students, as well as getting in with them to run relays. It's very helpful for learning to see it done, and not just have it told to you.
  2. I finally found the right person and married at 38. I too, am on track to have a military retirement and house paid for close to your target age time frame. We do not wish to have kids. However, in my planning, I cut the kid option at 35-37, due to future logistical issues. With the age gap and our future care needs, it just wasn't worth it to us. Now on your thought of going with a younger chick, fuck those issues. Even if you find one with decent values, which is highly unlikely, because she's got her sugar daddy; how fucked up is she going to raise those leeching kids with you? Fact is, all your hard work is setting them up to live well once you finally die, and you had to put up with them being a pain in the ass due to the age gap and you HOPING this all worked out. You'll divorce by the time the kids are 8, and all the sad lonely shit will kick in. At that point, you either kick start it and move to the Philippines to die of an STD, or continue to deal with shitty family issues. Find someone who has the same values the military has instilled on us. Being happy in a relationship and marriage is not a status statement, like most have turned it into. IMO, a trophy wife is typically a huge pain in the ass with a ton of issues that will make you lose your mind and drain your accounts. The girl next door is a far better person to be around.
  3. You know you wants you sum beats mang. Price is OBO.
  4. I've run the class drills trough about 4 times now. It's fun every time. Looking forward to Saturday.
  5. Jesse, knows his stuff on finance. He is one dude that you will never know if he makes $500,000 a year or $20,000 a year. Hell, I spent 8 years work in financial planning and still look to try and keep it as simple as he does. You have to just find what works for you guys and talk, talk, talk about your plan. Be aggressive with hitting your $ goals, and make those tough sacrifices to not get those extra things you WANT, but don't really need. For instance, you have a 42" TV that works fine, but you have the money for a sweet new 70" that is on sale.
  6. These are new and the plastic is still on the box. They are black with a wire. They came free with a laptop, and we do not need them. Retail sticker says $199, but I found them on Amazon for $140+ shipping. http://www.amazon.com/Beats-Solo-Wired--Ear-Headphone/dp/B00IYA2YRK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1439035410&sr=8-1&keywords=dre+beats
  7. Sunday, August 30, from 8am-8pm. Location is New Albany/Johnstown, right at the line, about 15 minutes from Easton. PM me for exact address. This is still the 12 hour NRA Basic Pistol class that will cover all that is needed for CCL in Ohio. There is extensive emphasis on marksmanship, with one on one training. We cover all that the NRA and the state of Ohio requires, and much more. This is a one day course, so you get it done and over with. Please PM me to get in the class, or for any questions. As always, if you are interested in setting up a class with your family and friends, PM me to have a private class. Couples, PLEASE do all you can to do the class together. We want you both on the same page, as shown by the discount. CR rate is $75 per person + $25 for gun rental and ammo, if needed. Couples are $125 + $25 for gun rental and ammo, per person if needed. Non CR rate is $100 per person + $25 for gun rental and ammo, if needed. Couples are $150 + $25 for gun rental and ammo, per person if needed. We commit to making sure you are trained. If you do not pass the range portion, we will retrain you, at no cost, other than gun and ammo use if needed. If you don't pass the written test, we will work with you so you can pass it, at no cost. If you just don't like how I teach and don't want to retrain, I'll give you your money back. At this time we have no intention of going to a shorter class time; less than 12 hours. We have reviewed our course material and feel that cutting information covered does not serve the student best. Also, if you were a student of my course prior to May 2013, you are invited to attend any current class, free of charge. There is new material and technique being taught. Please message me for details or with questions you may have. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l284/dsnowgod/0ED2FA9F-5384-4D0A-989E-622491238066_zpsyu3zxc2y.jpg
  8. August 15th we will be conducting a pistol 1 class. This class is for the shooter who has the basics of handguns, but is looking to refine, build and possibly learn a better technique to ultimately engage a target more effectively. Location is at the edge of New Albany and Johnstown. Exact address will be PM'd. This class is limited to 6 students. Because this is a pilot class, the cost is less than half, at just $80 per person. Regular price will be $180 per person. We ask for your patience if we need to make adjustments to the course material. If you are one of three people who have contacted me and have been waiting for this class, the first three seats are reserved for you. This eight hour course will cover: -Timed shooting drill evaluation -Draw stroke to engage -Malfunction clearing and reloading in the fight -Transitional shooting -Weak hand and strong hand shooting -Numerous shooting drills, to include a stress shooting course and moving and shooting. -Final evaluation Equipment needed: -A semi auto handgun that you are comfortable with, and even a backup is recommended. At least 3 magazines of 10 rounds or more. If wanting to run a single stack pistol, 5 mags will be needed. NO REVOLVERS. - At least 500 rounds of ammo. No steal ammo. If a magnet sticks to it, you can't use it. Let's stick to 9mm, .40, and .45. Contact me with questions if other calibers are wanted. -A hard case holster. Open or concealed. No cross draw or shoulder holsters. Strong side carry preferred, appendix allowed with proven competence. -Proper ear and eye protection -Dress for the weather. We will shoot rain or shine. Bring at least a light button up shirt or jacket for drawing drills. -Recommend to bringing a bag lunch. Fridge and microwave in classroom. -Ensure you are hydrated and ready to have fun. If you have a medical condition that is strained by exercise or elevated heart rate, this is not the course for you.
  9. Miller, cut the shit.
  10. Sorry for the delay in posting more classes. Thank you to all who have PM'd wanting more training. My hope is to be back to my computer tomorrow night, and then post details for the classes. I came back from vacation to being pulled for training at work for a week. We are looking at the weekends of the 15 and the 30th. Thank you.
  11. Lol. I can cast across the pond. No boat needed.
  12. FD it is. See you guys in a bit.
  13. I just spent a week in Ontario fishing in a Lund. I've not been fishing from a boat since I was a kid. Everyone had a Lund up there. Had storage compartments everywhere. I wish cars were like that. Good luck with sale.
  14. Any class past the level of basic pistol/CCW, should be bring your own equipment and ammo. Each place is different, but I would say 99% are going to be this way because you want to train with what you are going to use, not with what you borrowed.
  15. That is challenging. I like it. I'll leave the STD's to you. I do not want.
  16. I'm planning on going. Sti or FD?
  17. Sounds like you had a good time Bob. Moving to a streamlined pistol, striker fire, trims the fat off engaugment time. You can run those drills 100 times a day, and still have room to improve. It just takes the time and ammo. In my opinion, IDPA drills and some of the combat pistol drills, seem to be the most make sence for everyday carry. Getting your heart rate up and doing a stress shoot is very different than standing and poking hols in targets. Ryan, I just got back in town and have a few people looking to take classes. I'm putting dates together to see what works for student and instructors. So far, one on one training is what most people have been wanting. I will have something posted soon. Right now, I'm seeing Aug 23rd as the an option date.
  18. Glad it all worked out, Eric. Marc's a good dude.
  19. I have a similar set up with a switch and 3 routers to cover the area's I need. I'm with TW, but only for internet. I have their 50mb and it is $45 a month. I have HD antennas for local and stream what I want to watch. That said, no issues with internet.
  20. I'm looking to have this done too. Maybe someone can pick up two houses to do from CR.
  21. Don't go by the pic Cabelas shows. Scroll down, and you can choose from several .22 types.
  22. ^^this. Sold our 2010 wrangler mountain, because it just wasn't functional.
  23. Good follow up info. Thanks for sharing your findings.
  24. A few months back I picked up a PMR30. It's such a neat gun and pretty unique. I have not shot it as much as I would have liked so far, but I'm about 400 rounds into it. Target ammo was not as abundant as I would have liked, but personnel defense ammo was out there. I found some Winchester tarest ammo in a clear box with tan labling. The pricing was pretty good, but the rounds are just a little short for being 22MAG. This caused failure to feed(FTF) with almost every round. Other ammo has all worked fine. I have since found other winchster in the siver box, and the gun runs fine. Out of the box the left tube of the fiber optic rear sight, was not glued in to secure it. A little super glue and we were good to go. We did a bit of shooting this weekend and damn if the front sight didn't fly off after a shot. I don't know how we found it in the gravel, but we did. I know it was just the two .05 allen screws that came loose. But, this was pretty disappointing. Today, I called Kel Tec just to talk to them about their quality control and a light WTF to them. Tim, was very understanding and appologized. He is sending a new front and rear sight, with tool. Free of cost. I was just going to leave it at being disappointed, but I'm glad I called. I had had service like this about 8 years about when I miss place a scopre mount for a Ruger10/22. I called Ruger to order one, and they just sent it for free. I know many companies do this, but it's alway nice to see the understanding, as I fear the one time one of them says "too bad for you". Small things make customers happy.
