  1. Thanks for your help. I'm liking what I'm hearing about this bike. It's fast, it's fun, it's different, and it has a nice ass. Reminds me of a girl I used to know
  2. Justin is like the coolest dude in the world. Holy shit, Humanity has a chance! Thanks for your IM. I can't respond because I'm restricted
  3. You are a wise man and I appreciate your opinion. Thank you very much If you miss your bike that is the best review I can hear Besides, I never race the person beside me, I race myself, so I don't care if a 600 beats me because I'm sure they will. I love the rush of staging and racing legal. Where else are you ENCOURAGED to go as fast as you possibly can? Nowhere
  4. Believe me I researched EVERYTHING. I love the Ducati's!!! I just can't afford to modify them or maintain them...LOL The ONLY bike I bought new was a Suzuki VX800. A great V-Twin and I loved that bike! So I have a soft spot of a Suzuki V-Twins and Honda V-fours. The VFR800 is my #2 pick BTW
  5. Yes. Is it yours? Did you take my offer?...LOL
  6. Your 2 cents is exactly what I am asking for Now you say it has decent power but is heavy? Dry weight is 410lbs, it has 120hp and 75ft lbs of torque. Guess the numbers look better on paper is what you are saying?
  7. Okay, long story short I've recently got back into biking after about an 11 year absence. Rode my fist bike when I was 12. Owned my first bike at 16 and have had some kind of 2 wheeled transportation off and on over the years and I'm 42 now. Last year I bought a 95 Magna and absolutely love it and don't plan on selling it. Been looking for another bike for several months now. Something I can get my rush on and also take to the track, both drag and road. Decided on a liter bike or that level of performance. When I ride on the street, 90% of the time I don't go over the speed limit, I'm always in full leathers, even in the summer. But I'm not without temptation. If I'm on a back road and with nobody in front or behind I'll take it to the redline to get my rush. The way I see it, if I fail, I'm the only one that gets hurt. Same goes for back country twisties. So the MAJORITY of my riding is responsible and on public streets. I like torque as well as a nimble bike, so the SS twins seem to be a good fit for me. What do you guys think of the Suzuki SV1000S? I ask because I'm a cunt's hair away from buying one. A 2003. Opinions on this bike both good and bad?
  8. An R1 engine on CL with 9000 miles on it for $600!!! I wish I had the ability to weld and fabricate. Can you imagine a go cart with that engine in it? Or some other crazy project I'm sure the guy would include the wiring harness and ecu and you would just need buy a used instrument cluster off eBay.
  9. No sh!t, really? Ha ha, small world!! Cool video!!
  10. Honda's are great. Ran acroos this video. Love the hand in the air. 100k on a bike is amazing, but 177k is holy f'in crap!!! Keep her ALIVE hit that 200k http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwiOyq2Q9-I
  11. Man, that was a nice little haul of parts all shiney and new. Pure eye candy
  12. Thanks for the heads up. I just bought one. Getting a waterproof camera today that takes HD video as well. Going to start making vidoes of all my rides. It would be nice to mount this some place cool to get some interesting shots. Good find!!!!
  13. That is a pretty slick utility. Once they add more bikes that can be very useful
  14. I can't wait to go riding this weekend! Got a $100 pair of underwear (under armor) and a new digital camera that takes HD movies I want to try out. I'm getting tired of watching Youtube videos of OTHER people riding
  15. Let's see...an 800lb bike and a 400lb human. It's a good thing those Harley's have a little torque, that is a terrible horsepower to weight ratio
  16. I'm surprised he didn't blow the fork seals. A lot of times when they wheelie those huge 800+ lb bikes they blow the seals when the front comes down I may try to wheelie my Magna now for the hell of it
  17. "96 lb-ft of torque from just 2,000 rpm and at the same time revving up almost to 9,000 rpm"
  18. I was hoping someone would chime in that has bought a bike from Racers Edge. I'm in the market for another bike and I've been eyeing that site very closely. If you want a late model sportbike you can't beat some of their deals. Although the salvage title thing has been a concern. Many of the bikes seem to be insurance write offs for minor damage and light scratches. As you can see from that one title RE bought the bike from an insurance company. I don't think that RE is into the fixing bike business. They sell a lot of bikes in various wrecked form, some missing plastics, radiators, and in need a a LOT of repair before road worthy. They do high volume turn around it appears. I don't know what a commercial repair shop would charge to replace/fix scratched plastics and dented tanks. I know a tiny dent in a car can be $1k to repair. I'm sure most of the people on this site would just buy a set of $600 plastics off eBay and do the repair yourself. I'm in the market for a liter bike and I've seen some amazing deals on some beautiful late model bikes on that site. It is so damn tempting.... P.S. My very first motorcycle, a Honda MB5 when I was 16 was crashed when I bought it. It needed new front forks and a front rim. My next door neighbor helped me fix it. Loved that little bike. 50ccs and it would go an honest 65mph....LOL
  19. With that foot and peg dragging the way it is in the original thread picture, that rider is dangerously close to a low slide. But at least he is wearing full protective gear, which was good to see. I never ride without full leathers. I worked in an ER, road rash is the worst. Some if it looks like hamburger helper without the helper part. I've seen fingers completely ground away among other horrific visions. Always wear protective gear and ride responsibly on the street ))
  20. He's tried to sell that thing several times before. I'm a craigslist motorcycle ad WHORE. It's one of my start pages in Explorer ;-)
  21. I believe that screenshot was from this video.....ENJOY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKjsDtrCdkk
  22. That is a great looking bike. Unbelievable deal dude, congratulations!!!
  23. 172 horsepower, ABS, Dual Clutch F1 style shifting (optional) single sided swing arm with shaft drive and it's variable valve timing is capable of 70mpg. Mechanically it sounds like a dream, aesthetically not so much. Only comes in one color and the headlight bothers me too. If they had put a futuristic front on it like the late model VFR800 Interceptor they would have hit a home run. Nice bike, but at over 16K+ I'll take the new BMW s1000rr over that bike any day.
