  1. LMFAO at "I don't remember what engine it has in it". Is it a manual? I didn't notice any transbrake action, and his burnouts from the gear changes make me think it's like a 3 or 4 speed manual.
  2. I test drove an S2000 expecting it to love it and was very disappointed. Non-adjustable wheel and a high seating position means I couldn't do any sort of footwork, or more importantly see out of the thing. Also, it would need at least an intake or some exhaust work, because it sounded really uninspiring at 8000rpm.
  3. Lmao at your tach display read out.
  4. LMFAO, what a hilarious way to go out.
  5. Congrats on the new toy. Glad to see so many of these things out there, hopefully it sends a message to car makers that the market for fun, enthusiast cars isn't dead.
  6. Nameless does some awesome work. What's up with the rear subframe bit, did they do that for diff protection, or to modify suspension grab points?
  7. Is that what that was? Shit, I thought they were using a small crane for construction or something. Traffic looked to be an absolute mess.
  8. Most N54-powered cars. Seems like no one has any clue why they get freight-trained by a family sedan. Same goes for the Audi S4 with the 2.7tt, and the current S/C V6.
  9. Is your friend also deaf, or can s/he sign and act as a go-between of sorts? Why don't you just go to Cars & Coffee, or an AutoX and just jump in peoples' cars. I'd give you a ride in my car, it's just a bit over 300hp.
  10. I came into this thread thinking 8-9k.
  11. Already did the whole cross-country journey in 2011 in my old car, took a week and 3000+ miles to get from Columbus to San Diego. I would prefer to keep the miles off of my car if possible.
  12. I know I have talked to a few members of CR about this, the time has come, and I just accepted an offer for a new job in Southern California. Fortunately, my employer is sympathetic to me having to move myself across the country, and is giving me a good amount of time to figure everything out. My line of thought is to load the car with as much stuff as I can (clothes, essentials, whatnot), and have it transported across the country, then fly out and pick it up. I don't know a lot about moving something big like a car, but I know that I want to keep it protected from the elements, so the paintwork stays in great shape, and more generally, so the car doesn't get damaged in any way in transit. I am obviously a bit leery of entrusting my car to strangers unsupervised for any period of time, so a reputable, knowledgeable group who deals with cars specifically would probably be a good idea... My question is this, can anyone recommend a good, safe group to transport my car out there? Are there any unknown, or additional factors that you all can shed some light on?
  13. Gotta bump this up. Does anyone know if the car is running? A buddy of mine asked if I knew anyone who had a dark red/maroon C6 with blacked out everything and some tacky body parts (huge wing?). He was driving on 315 near Campus and the hospital where it kinks into an S-bend. A car fitting that description blasted past him (he was going approx. 80mph) as if he was standing still, and was driving like a complete idiot. He said, "My first thought was that it was turbo-charged. He had to be going at least 120mph through the corner and 150+ down the straight." The only car that I know of that fits the description was IMS2's car. Sounds like it's running alright, or alright enough to drive like an asshat through traffic?
  14. Microscopic, do I need a 10 second car? http://images.rottentomatoes.com/images/features/fastandfurious/ff1-4.jpg
  15. That video gets 100% more amusing when you mute the video and dub over it with some We Came As Romans, or Attack Attack!.
  16. I don't know what you're talking about.
  17. Yeah, I don't look at horsepower, or torque goals as much as a I look for solid trap speeds that are indicative of the results/car's performance. I trapped 110 in my car the other week and it's basically stock, reliable (*knock on wood), etc, and for example, realistically, how many cars are you going to run into on the street that are running in the 12's and trapping 110+?
  18. Do you specifically need VP's meth? A lot of people I know just use windshield wiper fluid because it's readily available, cheap, and has decent water:meth numbers.
  19. It's only a matter of time. I saw this on FB and said the same thing, running E85 in a car not designed/modified for it WILL have issues in the long run.
