  1. "...allows the weapon to be used as a spear."

I don't think my drill Sargent would have been very happy with me if I had fixed bayonet, stood up and launched my rifle like a spear.

That'd be awesome. I'm going to try to attach my pocket knife to my sling mount on my duty M4 and see what my supervisor thinks.

Hmmm, bayonet on the end of a sling, it has promise. Could you imagine swinging a blade around your head while firing wildly into the air?! Now THAT is intimidation.
I'm going to suggest this to my firearms instructor.
I read the other day in the retarded media that pistol grips allow a gun to be fired from the hip.

    The more you know.

Everyone knows its better to shoot from the hip. Just line your boner up parallel to the barrel and you'll be dead on accurate. DUH!

  3. God you're nuts, dogs are okay woof, cats are ok purr. I love you man.

1 thing I don't get/might want to change, you mention "services" in the rent price, then go on to say that renter is responsible for all utilities. ?? Just not sure what the difference would be. I know Ive looked into renting my place out to people too, and I would not let them even put water or trash in my name. Only theirs. Just a tid bit I saw in the ad.

Services? Like BJ's and handjobs? I may rent there as a vacation home.

  4. Hmmm, looking at residency in Texas and have been wondering about how this goes on there.

Near the border is horrible everywhere in Texas. The big cities suck. The highway in BFE put there is awesome, I think some spots the day time speed limit is 80 or 85. But stay outside of the cities and you'll be fine. My mom lives in san Antonio and the worst part of the drive is el paso hands down. It's a border town and the roads are always busy. We've gotten stuck in a traffic jam there at 10pm.

  5. i make increasingly wild gestures while i'm parked behind some left lane camping ass clown.

it starts with a pleasant and winning smile, with a small, but visible gesture with me pointing to the right lane

which gets upgraded to my hand raised just under my eye level, with a big "get over to the right" sweep of the left hand. almost stabbing my wife in the face at this point. still smiling, but with more sarcasm which is surely palpable through their rear view

which leads to both my arms, flailing maniacally from left towards ceiling towards the right, like some deranged half clock. my face is twisted in rage, and my face is more red than the brake lights they're blasting in my face from violent brake checking maneuvers. at this point, i have beaten my wife unconsciously from my furious gesticulating by this point in time.

they finally move over, 14 miles later, and i blow by them waving so enthusiastically that I have, once again, dislocated my shoulder.

And they say asians can't drive.

I just want to reiterate this word " gesticulating".

  6. This time of year in Arizona is horrible. The main highway across the southern part of the state is I-10 near me its pretty much 2 lanes in each direction and divided by a grass median. The speed limit is 75 until you get close to towns. There are a lot of mountains that 10 goes over. About a month or so ago the snowbirds started showing up with their massive tour bus style RV's. Apparently a lot of them don't have the ability to drive them. They will drive in the left lane under 55 mph then stay there as they try to struggle to get it up the mountain hills. It can be a bit of a pucker factor coming over a hill at 85ish to find one of them doing 40 just on the other side. They run side by side blocking the road for miles. On windy days they will use half of each lane to stay on the roadway. Then the semi trucks have a hard time dealing with them because they know they need to keep their speed up going up some of the hills but the blue hairs driving the RV's don't get out of their way until they are going up the hill. So you end up with a truck trying to pass an RV going up hill at 30 mph on the interstate. Then when they clear the hill the RV driver goes 90 down the other side because he can't control the weight of his rig and ends up infront of everyone before the next hill.

Then there are the people who come over from Mexico that have no clue about driving in the United States and probably don't have insurance. It's a blast to deal with.

  7. i skipped all the stuff in the middle cause it's been said a gazillion times over on just this forum (not to mention every other forum on the internets, which apparently, i'm on every single one)

i am disgusted that some gun owners (a very small fraction, but still) can't even do the most basic of safety checks, which is clearing the fucking chamber. what the FUCK is wrong with people? i know we're not perfect, and we all make mistakes, forget stuff, whatever, but the timing couldn't have been worse.

if you can't handle self responsibility, then prepare to embrace regulation and legislation.

That's what has me wondering. Why hasn't it happened so often before? Gun shows have been around for a long time.

Yes I understand the media are vultures but would this be as heavily reported if it happened before all this gun control talk? Would it be reported as heavily if it were a pro gun situation? Such as the stories of people using guns for good?

  8. Since you asked...

In 2008, according to the CDC (source here from UPenn) there were 73,622 incidents of non-fatal firearms injuries in the US. 73% of those were interpersonal violence related, so for purposes of this discussion I'm going to assume that 73% of that number was intentional violence. That still leaves 19,877, which translates to 1656 per month, or 59 per day. So no, I don't believe this is coincidence. For "responsible gun owners", 59 a day is a pretty large number. Since I laid my cards on the table, please cite evidence explaining why this is some sort of media conspiracy.

Of those 59/day how many were at gun shows? Like recon stated people who aren't familiar with guns are now rushing in to buy them without the training you say they should get. Who fault would that be? Maybe the people pushing bullshit legislation creating a panic buy economy? Still you have nothing to show that counters my thoughts.

  9. Could I ask a bunch of rhetorical and blatantly speculative questions without a shred of evidence to back up my claims? Maybe, seems pretty likely.

I can't say for certain, but it's probably due to the fact that 5 PEOPLE GOT SHOT. Shot being defined as "hit with projectile emanating from a device capable of launching said projectiles". Just because you choose to spin this to your own ends ("responsible gun owners" shooting other "responsible gun owners" is pretty damaging to your case, you have to admit), doesn't diminish or negate the fact that 5(!) people went to the hospital for a GSW.

Do you have evidence to prove that its not more than a coincidence?

  10. Yes, everything's a conspiracy when it comes to the media. Nevermind that 3(!) different "responsible gun owners" shot either themselves or others on the day that "responsible gun owners" ordained that they should all get together and celebrate the fact that they are "responsible gun owners."

The first thing I find odd is the 5 people injured at the gun shows when the amount of times this has happened as far as I know is very little. The second thing is with the checks you go through to get in how did most of these happen? Also the timing of this happening along with all the anti gun stuff going on right now.

Did it happen? Yes. Could it all be a bunch of rare accidents on the same day? Possibly. Could it be done purposely by anti gun people? Possibly. Just seems a little odd to me.

  11. I thought this was funny when I saw it on Facebook.

    Best Ever Layoff Letter

Dear Employees: As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Obama is our President and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way. To compensate for these increases, our prices would have to increase by about 10%. But, since we cannot increase our prices right now due to the dismal state of the economy, we will have to lay off sixty of our employees instead. This has really been bothering me since I believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who would have to go. So, this is what I did. I walked through our parking lots and found sixty 'Obama' bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the ones to let go. I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem. They voted for change......I gave it to them. I will see the rest of you at the annual company picnic.

  12. My paycheck normally shows up in my accounts Saturday mornings on payday weekends. It hasn't shown up yet. At first I thought that pay was being delayed by MLK day. But my coworkers all said their pay had been deposited. I also deposit money into my wifes account from each check. I told her to keep an eye on her account because my check hasn't deposited yet. She informed me that the money has been deposited into her account. Yet PNC hasn't shown the bulk of my check being deposited in there yet. I've been trying to sign on periodically and check on it. Now they say their server is down and have a warning about a possible cyber attack. Anyone else having issues?
