Agreed. It was in Columbus city limits and I didn't want to lawyer up and go through the nonsense. This was also very early in the CHL regulations. My license is numbered less than 50. I had my permit the week the law went into effect. But you're right and I would file today.

I told the rent-a-cop to watch for him, but didn't mention my gun nor did I file a report. I know, I know .... I should have.

Drove 1/4 of a mile down Main street from my house in the hillbilly town of Bexley to Kroger. Man started following me back to my car. As I shut the door, he reached in and tried to pull at me. Glock went up, he walked away apologizing. Nothing John Wayne, but I defended myself.

Weren't any signs that read "no douche bags". Sorry. Jokes aside.... the point was that I am choosing to stand up for what I believe is right.

Dublinites tend to stay in their little corner of suburbia. There are some of us who actually (brace yourself) dine downtown, short north, campus, and other areas of varying socioeconomics. And generally, the destination isn't always the meal... shopping, gallery hop, movie, etc... if I'm getting a cab to get hammered, I'll leave it at home (imagine the legal trouble of using a gun if intoxicated). But the reaction to this gun-bill change will still influence my choices, carrying or not.

My grandfather refused to go into White-only restaurants. I guess we make a stand for our principles when we can.

I'm not out to bury a business. I just will choose to support others. But.... I sometimes am the guy drinking and buying shots, so they won't get that money either(unarmed as it may be).

B-dubs... that does suck. I stop in Medina on the way home from Cleveland at least once per week. Not any more.

Knives are bad. Only police should carry them. Knives cause more cuts each year than any other sharp object on this Earth. I carry a scar on my pinky as a daily reminder of their inherent dangers. Statistically, U.S. children are 87% more likely to cut themselves on a knife than on a hi-capacity handgun.
