  1. There's no where in the laws that say I must get over for common courtesy of someone breaking the law or which lane I choose to drive the speed limit in.

Yes, I know that... but if you're doing 65 along side a truck and you know that people want to pass in the far left lane, then what does it hurt it get over and do 65 in the other lane? Or do you just like pissing people off becasue there isn't a law telling you to be courteous ?

  2. There's no such thing as a fast lane. Regardless the speed limit is 65MPH, it's not an unlimited speed lane. I love going 65MPH on my way home next to a semi the whole time. People get pissed and I get a laugh. I don't speed 95% of the time and if I do it's never more than 5-8MPH over the speed limit. After almost getting pulled over at 126MPH I learned my lesson.

I see your point there, but come the fuck on. I mean if you want to go 65 all the way home cool, but why be an ass to everyone else? Because you almost got a ticket you're now allowed to control the speed of other drivers by creating a rolling road block with a semi!? Then say hey "Technically there is no passing or fast lane” If you want to do 65, do it in the middle or far right lane with everyone else who wants to do 65. There’s no rule that says you have to hold the door for an old lady behind you either, but out of courtesy you do it. If I’m doing 70-72 mph in the “fast” lane and someone behind me wants to pass, I’ll get over. To me it’s more about being courteous to others around you rather then what’s technically right.

  3. I beleive the children are our future, treat them well and let them lead the way....

Agreed, let them lead the way!!! I say we switch from making it a 20 MPH school zone to an 80 MPH school zone. Think about it, it's a win win! Best case is that kinds actually learn to watch what they do on the roads and learn how to be safe, even when in a dangerous situation. Second best case, a few kids get hit and die  who cares? kill em off while they're young that way they don't grow up and annoy me while driving! If you can't avoid getting hit in a crosswalk when you're 15, how productive can you really be? Then think long term, the smart ones grow up with a respect and knowledge to take things seriously and the dumb ones… well we don’t have to worry about them now do we?

P.S. The views expressed in the above post were intended in a humorous manner only. If you were offended because you have kids and the though of them getting run over makes you uneasy… well then you must have stupid children, which wouldn’t be too much of a stretch because you took it seriously... dumb ass!

  4. I have an 04 Impala SS for sale. 63K, supercharged, 4 doors, leather, 2nd owner, great shape. $9,500 OBO. I think it fits your criteria...;)

I sent you a pm but to reiterate, Im actually in the process of selling my Jetta. I have to get some minor body work done and clean it up a bit but it should fit what she's looking for save the 'hatchback' and/or 'wagon'.

    05 Jetta GLS

    60k

silver on black heated leather seats, loaded

Price is whatever is owed on the loan which i believe to be around 9-9500$

Thanks guys! I responded to both PM’s. Since it’s ultimately her decision we’ll see… :)

  5. Since the Auto G8 GT did 723rwhp with the same kit I would guess the 6-speed should easily do high 700s at the wheels -- assuming its run at the same boost level.

    Jeff

Well the auto one that put down 723 also had a mild cam so if it's a different one with just the TT kit then I'm thinking 650 maybe 700, at the wheels...?

  6. damn...i have all that now plus the exhaust and then the shift kit going in. look like ill need him to tune it for me :Dwill prob do rockers and then im done with the car other than maybe headers?

That's all I would do. If I had to do it all over again, I don't think i would have gone past that. The cars was fun to drive and reliable. After the 300 WHP mark things went down hill fast. :(

  7. i got a 08 honda fit sport for sale thats $12,500........

Not any luxury what so ever but hey it gets 30+ mpg and it has 4 doors.

Better then a Caliber but still... I'll suggest it.

Fit is a a good fit lol! But really u should think about it solid lil car

    Such as?

  8. hmmm that makes me curious as to what mine would run? i have a ZZp 2.5" DP, custom catback/flowmasters, CAI, 3.4 pulley, intense PCM and some minor little shit

maybe you can tinker with my tune a little brian? i wanna get my tranny flushed and add a shift kit/new filter first though.

Well with a CAI, 3.4 pulley, T-stat, coledr plugs and Dyno Tune from Brian my GTP ran 13.7 @ 99 mph. With 1.9 rockers and a 3" exhaust it went 13.4 @ 103 mph. All on pump gas and street tires with minor weight reduction ( No spare tire, floor mats... etc) I had good 60fts though 1.8's and 1.9's. Good for a FWD with stock suspension that is.

  9. So it's another "Help me find a car" thread, but this has a little twist because it's a car for my G/F. Her current vehicle is a 99 Dodge Dakota with 210,XXX miles that is starting to nickel and dime her with problems (Water pump, Starter, Battery, Distributor cap, oil leak, power steering pump…) now she’s starting to look for a new DD. The problem is that she wants a freaking Dodge Caliber. :barf:I personally can’t stand the look of those AT ALL and I can honestly say that I might have a real problem if one were parked in my driveway on a permanent basis. So I’d like to take this opportunity to try and get her to look at other cars. You know, something with style and some performance. It doesn't have to be a track car but at least fun to drive with good looks and comfort.

    Requirements

Something with 4 doors or a hatch/ wagon. We have 4 dogs so she’ll need room to haul them around.

Either FWD or AWD as she hates driving RWD in the winter.

She loves Yellow, so something that looks good in yellow would be a pluss but NOT a must.

2003 or newer or less then 75K miles.

Between $8-12,000 maybe $15K for the right car.

I was thinking Subaru Legacy GT, or a Volkswagen GTI off the top of my head. What’s everyone else’s opinions? Please help me keep an ugly ass Caliber out of my drive way!!!
