  1. no that is very incorrect, getting measured by the use of the pool / bouyency can very quite a bit depending on how hydrated/dehydrated you are.

if you have allot of water in your system you will test a lower BF, if you are dehydrated you will test a higher BF, but you should be the opposite with the water in your system then what your told.

best way is calipers, taking averages, that will get you close.

but the mirror test is easiest.

    here is a good guide.

Thanks, but like I said from the get go, this would be something I do at home, I don't expect to be spot on but at least something that I can feel good going off of.

Get a sharp knife and seperate it from your muscle. Put all of your fat on a scale and weigh it. Now, take the weight of your fat, and divide it by your total body weight.

    Easy as that. And accurate.

Nice, but umm, I'll pass. ;)

  2. They better be careful, they're only 3 points out of 11th and if they keep loosing those 4point games...Well you know that's no good. I just don't want to hear "Next Year" again. They have a pretty tuff end to the regular season. Detroit, Boston, Pittsburgh (Goanna be a GREAT game) Chicago then back to some conference play. Now maybe Detroit and Boston won't play too hard becasue they pretty much have everything locked...But there are a lot of teams that will be fighting for every point. I just hope the trades work out well for the jackets!
  3. and 99% of the time, the faster car has more money in it

besides, all that power and cant even fix the damn brake lite thats out :(

    That car fucking moves out.

I'm with Gearhead though - as I'm watching it, I'm like, "Okay, this guy's has to have $100K in this car, and yet the fucking tail light is out???"

^^ And you guys clame to be car guys!? Jesus, don't you know that it's weigh reduction. an ounce here and there adds up to a good weight savings. ;)

Certain shops in these parts have proven that statement wrong. Many times.

X100, I know a 12 second Grand Prix isn't shit compared to an 8 second Z06, but there are guys who buy heads and intercoolers for their GP's that can't run what I run with out heads or an IC. Money doesn't necessarily mean faster times, although it really helps.

    How about them reaction times...

Got to spool that turbo! :D

  4. From what I understand the only 100% way to do it is in a pool. I bought an Omron electronic hand held unit that my trainers use and they said it is pretty close. It was 30 bucks on ebay. You have to make sure though that you eliminate the variables of water intake, heart rate, ect. I do it in the morning right when i wake up and dry. If I do it at night after water, food, or getting out of the shower, it effects the readings.

Yep that's what I read too. I saw the hand held ones, but I wasn't sure how accurate they were. I guess they don't need to be spot on, it's not like I'm training to be a pro body builder or anything but I'd like it to be as close as possible.

  5. Or why you would do so no where near any water?

Or not even have an extinguisher on standby!?

 I thought the same thing. Their back up plan if things went wrong was a hill of sand and dirt and some other kid waving a blanket in a fanning motion. It's a shame fatty didn't die.

  6. Meh, actually it looks too...busy... for a Ferrari. The partial wings coming from the sides, the lip and the rear bumper not to mention the tail lights look like a set of 6 X 9 speakers. I like the red and flat black look but then they switch it up with the glossy black. I'd still gladly take one if it was given to me. But in my dreams when I'll be buying one...It won't be this one.
  7. Let me tell you, it's a freak show...

    Yep!

I've gone a few times in the past, this year I actually know a few fighters going from my gym, so I'm going to go watch them.

  8. Why?

I'm not an expert on the subject but again from what I've read about it, there is a 2 part benifit to meth injection. With its high latent heat of vaporization cools the intake charge and combustion. So it will cool your intake temps allowing for more timing and or boost. Methanol cools the charge and combustion but also acts like an extremely high octane fuel (some researchers claim as high as 120 octane). So you get the cooling benifet along with the higher octain benifet.

However like I said all along, I'm no expert on it. I've looked into both as a means to run more boost without an IC (Thanks GM) but decided for many reasons that neither were a path I wanted to go.

  9. Why would you make more on the E85?

Most people have a harder time tuning with meth injection from what I've read. E85 is a little simpler to tune. i'm sure a perfectly set up meth injection would make more power, but it's just ahrd to do... At least that what I've heard...
