I end up regretting pretty much every post I make that isn't "real life" related. I shouldn't care what you think, and you shouldn't care what I think, but sometimes if I'm already in a bad mood it just spills out into this little "Quick Reply" box right here.

Just the squeaking and squealing type noises through the paddock at low speeds, especially cold. Sometimes I give them a few jabs to try to make them stop, usually unsuccessful. I don't recall the stock pads ever making noise.

My Vesrahs make race pad type noises I wouldn't tolerate on the street. For street riding I personally would use OEM.

So I have a head on view of an oncoming motorcycle over 500ft away in a 35mph zone and I should assume I DON'T have at least ten seconds to make that turn, because he COULD be in my passenger seat in less than four? When I rode on the street I assumed that car was going to make that turn and was prepared to take evasive action. Responsibility. Accept it.

Pretty much the same as everything that's been said. Cash for toys. All my powersports toys have been used a couple years old from private sellers. Although brand new $5000 1125Rs and $6500 ZX6Rs were tempting this past year. If something had 1.9% financing like my truck did I'd just leave the money in the bank.

I was nervous about the 1-2 shift also, but it goes through it just fine at the dragstrip. I don't use 1st at the track. Clutchless shifting is really only good for high-RPM WOT, if you're just putzing around use the clutch. On my CBR and probably most 600s, the revlimiter is a good shiftpoint for 1-2 and 2-3 with the RPM drop. After that there may be something to be gained by shifting a little earlier, depends on your power curve.

Nothing changed with the track in the past two months. Only place I notice bumps is the exit of 8 - how many people go down there? You should try Nelson - you'll love it.

What sucks is they didn't give the poor guy credit for 8th place. Looks to me like him and the bike both crossed the line, but official results show him a lap down.

Didn't read all five pages, but get your license before you go to court. I have seen this before and the judge dismissed the case. When I had a case "dismissed," there were no costs.
