  1. Also, fuck Fox News for continuing that story past the 1:55 mark and calling it, "To young to ride?". They know what they're doing, they're not as stupid as most of their viewers. That's not news...
  2. Thanks for a good read. I was getting pretty aggravated with the non-racing-media coverage. I think I'll end on a good note and stop reading now. When I got to work this morning everyone was asking about this. What sucks is most of them wouldn't have known there was a race in Indy this weekend if someone hadn't died. Want my opinion? Kids shouldn't be allowed to ride until they're 21. Because I didn't. How the hell am I supposed to catch up now?
  3. I think there is so much more to it when your line choice is affected by available traction and changing every lap. Asphalt is almost mind numbing just trying to hit your marks lap after lap...
  4. I bought a totalled car back. They got bids on the wreck from three scrap yards and sold it to me for the highest bid.
  5. Because eating on a medium-sized jump tops your worst highside.
  6. So what's the price? 900?
  7. In lieu of actual protection I just have a big "in case SHTF" pile of coke, so I can go out like Tony Montana.
  8. If it just so happens that my throttle sticks, AND I fall off, AND the bike stays up, where the hell is it gonna go? Straight? Who cares?
  9. Tell those Midwest guys to RTFM. STAGING TO START YOUR SESSION When lining up to start your session, we stage in two lanes. The left lane is “lane one.” This lane will be the first lane to enter the track and will consist of the faster riders in the group. The right lane is “lane two.” This lane is the second and last lane to enter the track. It is generally for those new to the track or wanting to ride toward the rear of the group. Control Riders will be staged to the far left of the track and dispatched into the group. Anyone wishing to be evaluated to move up in class should stage in the front of lane one. Control Riders will notice you here and if they feel your riding is smooth, consistant, and courteous, they will approach you to upgrade to the next riding group.
  10. So do I really need a tether kill switch over 120 there? That is the rumor that keeps me away. I also prefer to wear jeans at the dragstrip. Lemme know what you see.
  11. That one has half the funny edited out. Read the original where LoTGoD posted. http://www.27bslash6.com/missy.html Anything on that site that is an email thread is absolutely hilarious... I was literally sitting on my couch laughing out loud until it hurt when I found it.
  12. FAIL. My last four runs were 11.05, 11.07, 11.11, 11.12; with 1.97-2.00 60ft times. Those last two I felt a hit of decel when I chopped the throttle just a little too far shifting into fourth. I don't know how I used to pull 1.8s. I think I'm gonna cheat and get a strap for the front end...
  13. Not your choice with NESBA. Line up in the front of the left line, and if they think you're ready, they'll put you there.
  14. Hmmm... what would Brian Boitano do...
  15. Was there last Wednesday, didn't get to talk to you, but was pumped on watching you ride out of there - awesome...
  16. I see lots of for-sale ads and no successes. Some are priced what I would call a bit optimistic, but others look like a really good deal. Is anybody buying? Just curious.
  17. Awesome. When you think about it, are they really that far off?
  18. I think I'm going to hit it up this Tuesday. I'm relatively light weight right now and I want a 10 second timeslip having gone 11.0X time and time again.
  19. Grass does a pretty good job of grabbing everything that sticks out and ripping it off.
  20. Seemed to be nothing preventing you from stuffing the box. I highly doubt it was rigged in any other way. What would have been really funny is if they told that guy he couldn't win twice, then pulled another that was him again, and then another...
  21. Cool, I was gonna say that it was imperceptible to me, but then I thought maybe that was just another indicator that I suck. Glad I'm not the only one that doesn't notice.
  22. Met a few people, plenty more I didn't talk to. I'm game for hitting that up whenever, not far from me. Hopefully will catch more of you another time...
