  1. ...which could easily be confused with hippo, you could imagine the misunderstandings. Get tired of people at work calling an FMEA a fee-ma, although confusion with the FEMA is unlikely...
  2. Is that swingarm view just a GoPro double-sided tape mount on the swingarm? Wideangle?
  3. $4500 as it came off the track, no extras. Saturday sort of got me out of the funk I was in so I kinda want to ride some more this year, but the bank account says if someone wants it, let it go. If you want full details, let me know.
  4. That sounds like my kinda party. Cool if I meet some of you guys at the CC spot? Pretty sure I won't know anyone there, and probably wouldn't recognize any of you in person except that Shallowtail groupie from the Boneyard pics. I'd be "riding" a black LBTS Tundra.
  5. What's the deal with this bike giveaway?
  6. And knives... http://jobview.monster.com/Product-Line-Manager-Harley-Davidson-Knives-Job-Oregon-City-OR-88901390.aspx
  7. Open. I think you passed me a couple times.
  8. Sorry man didn't see this because I was in Cleveland last night. I know I saw your 675, didn't necessarily see you. How was your day? I really wanted to get in on that. That was you in the Held leathers, right? I meant to say hi but never really ran into you and I pretty much sat on my ass between sessions trying to conserve energy. I usually leave it up to people to find the faded was-bright-orange bike - blue03636 did. I was practically retired but I really had a good time today. I think I may make it out there once more this year because I have unfinished business with that shitty bumpy-ass track. Unless somebody really wants to take this bike off my hands right now...
  9. I'm supposed to be there, probably Saturday and Sunday. Indy Mile Saturday night. I don't even know where the hotel is we stay at. Not downtown. Not by the airport. Not too close to the track. There's a McDonald's in front of it. And a Subway.
  10. Probably better... those covers turn into sails in the wind... ref: Indy MotoGP 08. Don't you know anybody with a garage? Shame that has to sit in the weather...
  11. If my bike was wired I'd run the race school... it would be worth $50 to me just to do some practice starts.
  12. I'll be there. First time this year and maybe the last time for awhile...
  13. I always wanted to go flying...
  14. False. Bunch of us at work picked up Arcades to play Forza3 and most are using a flash drive or external HD. They made fun of me for shelling out for a native hard drive (got a 60gb starter pack off eBay).
  15. Who here has this? Just curious. Sounds like what I would call a "technical sales" position more than anything engineering related anyhow. Didn't know Goodyear owned Dunlop... learned something today.

  17. Rider's manual: GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS 15. Participants who register at least 15 days prior to an event will receive the standard rate for the event. Those registering less than 15 days before an event will pay an extra $20 for late registration. Event fees vary, depending on the track and course.

    Nsx.

I drove one for a weekend and all I could think of was Winston Wolf from Pulp Fiction. "Jules, you ride with me. Vincent, you follow in my Acura... Now I drive real fucking fast, so keep up. I get my car back any differently than when I gave it, Monster Joe's gonna be disposing of two bodies."
  19. Sorry, you're right, I was looking at the Beaver SEDs in August. I have no idea how they calculate that non-member price (400/305 vs 360/305 vs 175/155, etc is kinda strange).
  20. http://www.midohio.com/School They mimic the STT program and will take care of you in Novice. Read the gear and bike prep requirements and post if you have any specific questions.
  21. I forgot "IZOD Indycar" existed until Castroneves made some headlines. Was a huge fan back before the CART/IRL split. Went to their website to see how many cars were on the grid these days and that was honestly the first I heard of the Midohio race coming up...
  22. Hopefully you were able to use that to negotiate a few hundred more off the price.
  23. For what little it's worth, NESBA has non-member pricing on their events now. That day is $360 (+55). Keep in mind that your NESBA membership is good for one full year from the date of purchase, not just the current calendar year. If you plan to ride next spring, there is no reason to worry about how many dates are left this year. You can find out what your current membership status is by logging into your account at nesba.com.
