Not too outrageous, but it's old tracer that was selling for less than M193 over the summer. I wouldn't be surprised if I can never get M193 for 0.30/rd again, but I bet I could get M855 for 0.40/rd in the near future.

I've done karts and bikes there. There used to be a group out of Michigan that did bike races on a regular basis. They are pretty laid back there, you might even be able to alternate sessions with karts at a regular practice.

I do. If they tried to confiscate without reimbursement, perfectly level-headed people like myself would be making headlines. My dad pointed out an easy solution - do a federal buyback and offer people $4000 for a rifle instead of $400. They can afford it. I'd take that and find a new hobby. Would be much cheaper than the standoff at my house until I ran out of ammo.

Those things are junk. A buddy bought one last Sunday and had the trigger reset problem (google it) right out of the box. Somehow he managed to return it for an M&Pc. I think the loaded chamber indicator and magazine safety are pretty lame also. Another buddy picked up a Shield this week, seems pretty nice but I didn't actually shoot that one. These were all in 40 if that makes a difference, apparently 9mm is nowhere to be found.

I personally had about an 8-week attention span for any one subject in college. With 10-week quarters, that meant that about the time I stopped giving a shit all I had to do was take a final. With 16-week semesters, I just didn't want to be there anymore about half way through. YMMV.

Not sure if y'all just mean "metal" when you say "steel," but USGI mags are actually aluminum, and I'm assuming cmh_sprint ordered E-landers, which are uniquely steel. I guess I'm old-school and always considered plastic to be the cheap-out option. I've never even fondled a "Pmag." All this hype makes me think I'm missing out on something. Maybe I'll backorder some and see what happens. I did backorder an LE6920 just to see what happens.

I can see dumping all those crap compact pistols and maybe even the "evil" assault weapons not knowing that those two are sort of special, but who throws away nice hunting rifles and shotguns? Not really thinking profit (although I would have loved to give the guy with the Colt $500 and escorted him to the nearest FFL), just more hoping some of those end up in some cop's closet rather than a blast furnace.
