I've got Archangel on my 10/22. The carry handle scope rail is plastic exterior coating an aluminum frame. Plastic? Yes, too weak to handle a scope on a 22LR with 0 recoil? No way. A scope would mount just fine. My only complaint though is the mag. Every non-Ruger mag I've tried in a 10/22 sucks, and Archangel is no exception.

^^^^ This. This article is editorial supposition, to date there is no lawsuit from Zimmerman against those described in this article. It's all just a "what if".

I wouldn't have a problem with the LEO wanting to hold my weapon during the stop. Nor would I have any problem with him/her returning it to me unloaded with the slide locked back. Basic safe gun handling practices are to never hand a loaded gun to someone. I would feel real uncomfortable handing a loaded gun to the cop, but I would expect they would prefer to get control of the weapon as soon as possible, as opposed to watching me clear it first. After he asked me to hand over the weapon I would probably just ask him if he'd like me to clear it first. These guys aren't trying to be assholes, they just trying to keep themselves alive. They don't know who you are or what you're up to, and its wise for them to assume the worst and be pleased when nothing happens.

I'm not arguing your assertion that it was their choice. It was obviously their choice. What I'm arguing is your assertion that their choice wasn't stupid.... it was stupid for a whole bunch of reasons. And I don't/won't do business for them for these very reasons. Even worse, I'm one of the most bitter, jaded, tell everyone I know, pissed off customers you can ever fear to have. Not only will I not do business with you, I will make sure everyone I know learns about your stupid decision so that they won't do business with you either. If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything.

The link to the Kiko site led me to this. Anyone in the market for a nice house on an amazing piece of property for a damn good price? What's the deal with this, seems like the property alone could be worth the asking price.... http://www.kikoauctions.com/?nav=forsale&pt=RESI&lid=2149234

Wrong. Firing customers based on principal when their business is not only lawful but necessary is stupid. Firing an American defense supplier for political reasons when your company has been propped up by American tax payer TARP money is full on fucking dumb beyond belief.

Now that's a pretty rifle. Is it a Springfield?

They are scrambling for ways to prove that he's insane, which is their only chance of keeping him locked up for life. It ain't going to happen.

I agree with this, but would also point out that Southboro Baptist Church holding "God hates fags" signs at the funeral of fallen soldiers is also protected under the 1st ammendment, even though it is incredibly insensitive if not horrificly stupid. With that in mind, its frustrating to learn that somone would use a racial tolerance event to make a statement about firearms rights... also horrificly stupid.

Bike is sold

For a starter gun you also might want to consider a revolver. Simple to operate, far less likely to fail, and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Most of the brands mentioned so far offer some great revolvers too, Smith, Ruger, and Colt if you want something more "collectible" which will better hold value over time. Lots of calibers to choose from as well, including 22LR.

Looks like an expensive version of a Ka-bar.

If the manufacturer feels its ok to advertise his religiousness on his product, I feel its ok to purchase a competing product which doesn't advertise any religiousness. It just seemed silly to me that crossbreed had to put crosses on it. Yes its their logo, but damn it pains my heathen eyes and conscience to wear a product that has crosses all over it. Regardless, I've seen both and IMO the comp-tac is superior, religious idolatry aside.
-
Where are you getting your kydex raw materials from? I'm thinking about making an adjustable comb for a rifle.
-
Love my comp-tac minotaur, and it doesn't push the manufacturer's religious agenda like the crossbreed does.

Get a 5x8 steel trailer from TSC for $500 and call it a day.

That's terrible, best of luck to the little girl. Kids are tough though, she's got good odds on her side.
-
Then I'll say it. Tasing a 9 yr old was a bad decision from an idiot cop.
-
Dude, you need some perspective. You obviously don't have kids, cause if you did you'd be singing a different tune. First off, cops show up to serve a warrant for truancy. Did you hear that? Truancy, for skipping school. He's a 9 yr old kid with worthless parent(s) that don't make him go to school. Why was a warrant for the kid created in the first place? Resisting arrest??? He's a 9 yr old kid!!! Does even know what arrest mean? Does he know what's going to happen to him if he goes with the cop? The kid is probably scared to death and his mom is telling him tough crap. Were you ever 9? You'd do the same thing. If a parent tases their own kid its called abuse. If a cop came in my house and tased my kid for any reason short of chewing someone's heart of their chest that cop is going to be taking me to jail for assaulting an officer. Anyway, you're opinion is in the minority. The mayor of Mt Sterling and the city council have all but fired the chief of police and disbanded the police dept.
