  1. The green tip is US army surplus that's usually a couple decades old. It was all manufactured with large Russians in body armor as the potential target. They started using it in Iraq/Afghanistan and found that it would pass through small middle-easterners without dropping them. So they went back to a full lead bullet. There's millions of rounds of this stuff laying around, and the army doesn't need it/want it any more now that we're out of Iraq. The price will continue to drop, especially considering most indoor ranges won't let you shoot it.

    Ammo special

Thanks again for the pulling the new Savage deal together for me Dale. Scope is mounted and she's looking like a beast! Let me know if you get any more of those police magnum Remi 870s too.
  3. www.natchezss.com has the best deals on XM193 that I've seen in a long time.

    walking dead

Well, if in the next episode you suddenly see lots of T-Dog you can probably expect him to get killed off. Last night had more Dale than the entire season, saw his death coming a mile away.

    Replaced the XDM

Grape, I've got a very lightly used 92fs I've been considering passing off for other things. I've got the box, some Pachmyrs, two original 10 rd mags plus three or four 15 rd mags. Let me know if you're interested.
  6. 9 lb avg trigger pull? Dang, that's a lot even for DAO.
  7. Isn't a 1/4 MOA gun a 1/4 MOA gun at any distance? 1 MOA = 1.04 in at 100 yds, at 1000 yrds = 10.4 in. MOA isn't a measure of the size of your groups. The size of the groups is variable depending on distance. MOA is the measure of the arc space.
  8. Relatively new here, but would like to hear your story.
  9. .... except for the fact that this is obviously fake. No slide action, no recoil, no muzzle smoke or flash, no mark on the vest.
  10. All I could think of when watching that DA shoot himself was Marion, OH.
  11. Would definitely buy this if you were willing to ship to Columbus. Otherwise, I don't have any plans right now to head up your way. Let me know if you'd consider shipping.
  12. Jbot, what the heck do you do for a living? Craig has mentioned that your business deals with manufacturing of things that go bang or their associated components. Other than wrestling with pigs in the mud naked he has no idea what you do when you're not at the track.
  13. Was a member at NACR but when time came around a month or so ago to renew I couldn't justify the $250 membership fee which buys you...... nothing. Even as a member I'd still wait an hour for a lane. All the stuff in the shop is wayyyy over priced, so even with a member discount you can still do better elsewhere on accessories. Don't even consider buying their ammo. They are nice guys, and the facility is top notch, but it sure is pricey and plan on spending all day to shoot a couple hundred rounds.
  14. I know what FFF is, what I said is that I don't know what their personal firemarms policy is. You must of missed it, no worries. It was a long sentence. I am quite certain that I'm not the one missing things in this conversation....infarction vs infraction and such.
  15. I have no fucking clue what FFF policy is. So why don't you get a bunch of guys together to all show up at once with your guns on your waists and then start picketing out front. Or you could just ask them what their policy is, and then respect it.
  16. Sort of topic, but this is actually a really good point. I can't help but notice when I go to gun events (shows, classes, range) the overall proportion of overweight gun owners. Even all the shows on the Outdoor Channel, all these gun guys talking about tactical this, tactical that, being prepared to protect your life, blah blah blah. These guys are going to die from a fricking infarction long before they will ever have an opportunity to pull a pistol in anger.
  17. Now I gotta respond to this. I commend you in the fact that you are an activist for a civil issue for which you obviously have a lot of passion. Most people just watch the world go by, but your protests regarding the weapons ban at public places is noteworthy and I support it. But....The reason you started this thread was to create a gathering of people open carrying firearms at a private business open to the public purely because this business (which is also behaving fully within their legal rights) has posted the weapons aren't allowed on their property. See, now this is where you start losing my support. If McDonalds doesn't want guns at their restaurant they are allowed to post such. IMO the proper response is not to create a protest such as the one your are suggesting. The proper response is to not eat a McDonalds, plain and simple. Or if you are that much in love with Big Macs leave your gun in the car, order a burger. Do you not see the difference?
  18. Seriously, take a break from yourself. The quote about posting pics was CRBs. He's the one that's offered a half-dozen times to post pics of himself carrying his gun.
  19. Will do just that this weekend. That was the only picture I currently have, wife uploaded it to her Facebook page. I promise I will have public open carry pics this weekend. You mean you aren't openly carrying right now??? Why not? You only carry on weekends? Is that when the criminals come out where you live?
  20. Robbing a store while armed is a felony, CCW permit or not.
  21. Yep. Open carry/concealed carry is how you choose to present your weapon. It has nothing to do with the type of holster you are using.
  22. I don't disagree, there's a time and a place. A random McDonald's with a no weapons sign posted on the door isn't one of them.
