  1. Weekdays are tougher so it depends on what is going on at work. However I'll try to be at any event that is organized. Gingerman is my favorite, but it is a haul. Grattan is just as far. best way to avoid the high tolls, is go up i75 or 23 at TOledo and go across MI via I94 or I96 depending on which on you're headed to. Since I just moved here, I'd love to try Nelson or Beaverun. I love MO, but it' pricey and the schedule for next year is crap. Obvious preference to the 4 wheeled cages. Plan it and we'll be there.
  2. HOLY HELL! WOW! If wasn't married, I'd steal that idea in a hearbeat! Hell if my wife ever leaves me, I'd play for the other team and be your bitch. Nice man.
  3. Found this article: At least it makes it sound like there will be a season 4 for sure. http://www.tvfanatic.com/2010/12/sons-of-anarchy-season-4-spoilers-whats-next-for-the-family-and/ Where did last night's gripping Sons of Anarchy season-ender leave our favorite motorcycle club, and what can we expect from one of our favorite shows going forward? If you haven't read it, here's our take on the Sons of Anarchy season three finale. Read it and leave us comments with your thoughts. Now, let's look ahead to next year. In a lengthy Q&A with E! Online, creator and show-runner Kurt Sutter talked about the changes the finale sets up for season four. Here are some notable excerpts ... On how Jax is now going to operate differently than John did: "Jax was finding out that John's whole life was essentially a lie and that he was going to bail on it." "His dad was going to bail on Gemma and had this kid with this other woman, and ultimately that he wasn't as strong a man as Jax had envisioned him to be." "Jax is not running away, and he is committed to Tara, and he's not looking for something outside of the life. Obviously, the decisions that he makes put him deeper into the machinations of the club. He's distanced himself from the notion of trying to change things." "Really, in a lot of ways, he's becoming more like his mother. On when season four will pick up: "There will be a gap in time. I haven't decided if we'll start with them in jail and getting out or if we'll begin with them already out of jail, but we're not going to spend half a season or a season in jail. Sons is not going to become Oz." On what Charming will look like in 14 months: "It'll be a different Charming. There will be a new mayor and a new sheriff. The 21st century is going to land at SAMCRO's doorstep. It'll be interesting, because the 21st century will also bleed into their lives." "The gun business will be exponentially bigger as a result of the Irish deal, so they themselves will be upgrading, but everything else around them will also be changing." "Not that I'm thematically trying to make a big point in terms of all that, but Charming really has been Mayberry—it's been an anachronism, and in my mind, we'll start to see that shift, and how do they handle that shift. Do they try to throw the brakes on it?" "Do they embrace it? What happens to the big fish when the pond gets bigger?" On the club's struggling finances: "They've had a tough run, ever since Abel was born, between legal fees and everything else, but I do think that, as Clay said to Gemma, this is an opportunity for them to finish big. We'll see that start to happen." On whether Kozik will stick around: "I love Kenny Johnson and I love the character, but I didn't vote him in was because I wanted to leave it up in the air a little bit. I thought it would have been too neat if they had all this conflict and then it just went away." "Because we did spend so much time away from our core guys this season, next season I really want to find some great storylines for our guys. Kenny is such a great actor that I don't want to waste that on some little three-episode arc." "If I can use him, then I really want to find a way to use him rather than have him reduced to one of the guys riding up on a bike. On Happy's place in the cast: "I say this not in a judgmental or flip way, but really in a character way, that a little Happy goes a long way. Do you know what I mean?" "Too much Happy storyline is overwhelming. The moment he had in the torture scene where everyone is appalled and he's smiling like a four-year-old, that's all you need." "Happy is a little bit of the sociopath, and you don't like it to get too stereotyped or clichéd. But D.L. will definitely be around. I think he'll be in 9-10 episodes next season." On the new prospects sticking around as well: "They're so unlikely in terms of this club! It's my experience that the more time I spend with the guys in this world, that actually it's the guys that never fit in that are the guys that are pledging clubs." "That's why I love those two actors. They're funny without having to do much with them, and I imagine they'll be back ... we'll wait to have that play out." On adding new gangs: "I don't know if we'll do any more MCs next year, but on The Shield every couple of seasons we would get bored with our clubs and gangs, and we'd introduce new ones, but I think some that we've introduced will come back." On Lenny the Pimp: "Lenny was part of the First Nine; I think we talk about it in the iPad app - we have a whole thing coming out on the First Nine. The only ones still living are Clay (Ron Perlman), Piney (William Lucking) and Lenny." On whether Tara is having a boy or not: "Uh ... I haven't decided on that, but I'll say this: It is the Sons of Anarchy." On Trinity's role: "I don't know if it will be next season, but I think that at some point, perhaps, as the mythology continues to unfold, I think there might be an opportunity to bring her back. She was so much fun, and I thought Zoe did a great job." On more Jax-Tara backstory: "We're not going to do flashbacks, but if there's a way to get out that information, like we did in season one with Stahl, in a way that makes sense and moves the story along whether it's narrative or just character, then yeah, I'm always hoping to reveal some of the mythology, I just don't know off-hand what that might mean in terms of season four."I guess I missed that Lenny was an Orig Nine. Interesting comments about Jax. Makes it sound like he'll stay. Maybe change from within. Unser will be fine. As CattaniAFJ said, it was a BS Anonymous tip. And then Kozik gave him a shiner to show he was "overtaken". besides. he's a stage 3 cancer so he doesn't have much left. Plus Sanwa Sheriffs are taking over thanks to Hale so he is out of a job anyways, hence the boxes in his office.
  4. great season finale. wasn't expecting that! very Godfather-esque. agree with Drew about Opie's and Chibs revenge nice to see that happen. DIdn't leave a huge cliff hanger like usual though. I heard rumblings on the internet that even though FX signed up for season 4, but Sutter was not happy with all the Corporate Direction he was getting.
  5. Not so sure I agree with you entirely, but it is indeed sad that people won't commit to such a loyal species. That's what our disposable society has led us to...disposable diapers, water bottles, marriages, laws, disposable pets, etc. What's that one quote about how you can measure a society by how they treat canines... Sad world we live in.
  6. Something they would never do.. Seems like a pretty short season...Good thing I just bought season 1 and 2 on DVD!
  7. We've fostered a dozen or so Retired Racing greyhounds. We have a dobie and a Rottie. Plus two children under 4 yrs old so we are out. However, we know several groups and friends who have a good network. I'll have my wife spread the word.
  8. Sunny and 43 on Sunday...
  9. I guess when I win the big lottery, I'll have to build my own track...don't see any other option.
  10. Anyone else notice that there are no full weekend dates at MO anymore? Since I moved here, I thought I'd get to ride a lot more at MO, but most of the dates are weekdays...
  11. dude, you got the hard part done if it is already insulated. A fairly inexpensive stand alone heater would work. You'd be surprised how warm it will get. Just can't picture what you are trying to do would be in any way easier than buying a heater and plugging it in. I'd be more worried about any collateral damage from tipping it over. But sounds like you are committed. If so, make sure you take off your plastics so WHEN you do tip it over, you have minimal damage. Also make sure you have at least 4 buddies, thre to help, and one to video tape. If you take it to the spare bedroom, you could always get several of those garage mats. It has a rubber bottom and fabric on top. That way any oil or fluid spill would be contained. GL, man.
  12. BIG +1. A couple of radiant heaters or propane heaters will warm the garage up before you work on it. Too many (video-worthy) things could go wrong on getting the bike down and up from the basement. What kind of ventilation system do you have in the basement? Not sure if you are doing work that will require you to fire her up, but the last thing you want to do is pump those fumes throughout the whole house via the ductwork...
  13. I used to be into cigars a lot. Have gotten away from them since the kids. But you've already hit some good ones. I can't recall all of them, but Padron was one of my favorites. I used to go to a cigar shop and just shoot the shit with the owners. If you find a good place who love the craft and aren't pretentious, you can get a lot of good info. I remember I used to lean toward Nicaraguan cigars after they told me that it's the closest things to cubans. I never got a humidor, but had the snippers and box of matches. Never want to use a lighter. Stick matches are the best way to go. It gives you a slow even burn without the fuel ruining the leaves. Never flick the cigar like a cigarette. You want the long ash on there. Which is why cigar specific ashtrays are a must if you smoke inside. It really is an art form. Now, I'm a fat old married man with kids, so a peach flavored swisher sweet is a treat for me...

    New Baby

big congrats on growing the family!!
  15. I almost hope that is the reason. Because if the reason is really they didn't care and wanted to hit the dog... The world needs a vigilante to take care of the vermin.
  16. I was holding my daughter who was 6 months old at the time and stepped outside in the early morning to see what the dogs were going after. I slipped on a slick spot and started to fall forward with her in my arms. I didn't have anything to catch myself with. So I contorted in mid air and did everything I could to lessen the blow. Took a good knock on the head myself on the concrete patio and she bumped her head with mine ever so gently. I freaked out and cried and ran her to the emergency room "just in case". Hearing something like this is UN-IMAGINABLE to me. What is seriously wrong withour society?!? no worries guys though. pedophiles and baby killers are treated very "special" by fellow roommates at most jailhouses. He'll experience hell on earth. Of course rick37 has a point about the insanity plea. if his lawyer is any good that is. But article said he wasn't represented...

    "Fringe"

diggity-diggity! Call me old fahion, but I don't like the continuous story line. I think it keeps people watching, but if you miss a couple, then you seem pretty lost for awhile. I missed a few early this season and last night was the first one in a a couple of episodes I've seen. with work, kids, etc, it's hard to catch up. regardless, it's pretty entertaining.
  18. Is he yours? j/k, Big congrats! lots of responsiblity. Being a role model is hard, even if you don't want the job, you've got for 24/7.
