  1. Good call. I didn't see that one coming. So when Gemma said, "MY son" to Maureen on the phone, you guys think Maureen is really Jax's mother? Just can't see how that logistically played out. So Maureen just gives birth and then hands him over to JT and Gemma? And what is Jax thinking about giving up info to Stahl about the NorCal connections to the IRA? How is he going to do that without taking down the club? Can't wait to see the whoopass that they are are going to bring down in Belfast. I'm just trying to figure out why the Army wants to give Abel to some other family rather than back to Jax and why the padre wanted Maureen to call them. Obviously they would come with guns ablazing.
  2. looks like freakin cold weather. 39 at night high of 50. Rain on Saturday. Still pumped though. I'll be sleeping in the back of the explorer. Not enough room for LMS and me in the trailer. Besides, she needs her strength to keep me up on the cold track. Thinking I should bring my extra tires just in case I need to have it swapped out. Hopefully they have some tire guys there.

GL with the VP visit. Work is kicking my ass too. We gotta get steve to join us.

Looks like almost a 6 hr drive for me with gas stops and such. Hopefully they don't lock the gates on me before I get there.

  3. Welcome! I'm new to the area as well. Not a big fan of off roading. Clean dry smooth twisties are what a crave. cold tires are what I always worry about. Also, bike is in hibernations once the first salt hits the road until the first good spring rain to wash it away. Hopefully we'll have a few more good weekends to ride.
  4. nothing against HD's (i've got several friends who ride them), but my experience with cruiser group rides is boring. Also, large groups tend to be laborious.
  5. all moved in this week. finally! I ended up in North Canton. Just got to find some back roads to Tallmadge. I-77 is not going to cut it! Now I need to get out for some rides and explore the local twisties!
  6. Wow, bummer man. Only ride I've had a chance to go on and this bike was leading the way. Very nice bike for a lucky buyer. GLS
  7. Lol. Rossi is in now. You going to trailer them or going solo? Save me a spot bro. Just gotta pimp my trailer. Buy me a cot so I can roll like you.
  8. wow. That's like a block from my old office! TO be honest, I doubt this will happen for me. We'll be just moved in to the new house earlier in the week so I'm sure we'll be using the weekend to settle in. But if you do get the boys on board, I'll make sure to at least come for the food, but maybe not the ride to GR.

  9. No I think it was a different guy, cause they said Tig had the beef with him. Seems like a new player to add some drama. I'm confused on what Gemma read too. but it's not about Abel, since in the future epsiode previews you saw her crying when she heard about it. Good season opener for sure.
  10. +1. Memorial day weekend and Labor day weekend are usually out for me.
  11. hey bro. DTM site has been like a ghost town. welcome aboard.

  12. oh god! there goes the neighborhood!
  13. Agree with above. Pretty generous offer from justin IMO!! I know we all need to pinch pennies, but tires are the only connection to keeping you up. Spend $200 now and save injuries and other bike repairs later... Can you imagine a blow out on the highway...in traffic... I know someone at work who almost says pridefully that his tires are almost bald. just don't understand that mentality. just not worth it in my opinion.
  14. sorry I missed the ride Tony. Was out of town so didn't get a chance to see this.
  15. I was going to suggest that. Sounds like you are doing things right by looking in your mirrors and having an escape route/not in the middle of the lane. If that interchange is that bad, then an alternate route is the BEST choice. at least during the worst of the traffic times. Plus the long way home always my goal when on the bike..
  16. i rode the YZF600R for over 20k miles. It is one of the most underappreciated bikes out there. Is the R6, Gixxer, R1 better? Depends on what you want. Some positives on the YZF: great mileage - I had 50+ MPG. and a 225 mile range on a full tank. All day comfort. Had a 100 mile roundtrip commute to work with no problems. did 6+ hour drive up the west side of Michigan on that. adjustable front and rear suspension. That makes a HUGE difference IMO Plenty of power and handling. You CAN drag knee with this bike. You can Power Wheelie. very easy price. Great support forum: yzf600R.com. Some of the best and knowledgable people out there. Real world power curve. More mid range grunt than most R6's where you are at most of the time for street riding. Track is a different story. Some cons: It's heavy (500+ lbs) but you won't get blown on the highway with cross winds. less mods being made for it but you can still get all the basics, sprockets, pipes, etc. Not as "sexy" as a new bike With the right mods, you can keep up with most 600's on the road. I had dropped a tooth up front. A friend of mine has it as a dedicated track bike and he has a jet kit with the sprocket change. Our friend who has an '05 636 stock can't pull away from him the straights. Now mind you a liter bike will blow by it with problems, but then you aren't comparing apples with apples. I love my R1, but I do miss my YZF. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat without hesitation. If you check one out the biggest thing to look out for is the 2nd Gear. Many Yami's during that time period had problems with that. You'll just want to make sure it doesn't have that problem. All the above is from personal experience either directly from my bike or a friends. Check out the web-site and you'll a lot of avid followers.
