Not to sound like a broken record but... have you looked at Triumphs? Unless you're expecting to be at 100+mph on a regular basis for hours on end the wind on the naked with flyscreen added hasn't been a huge issue, at least for me. The "anywhere anytime" torque of the triple engine is pretty damn fun in the twisties and oh god, the sound.
Hell, I'd even suggest checking out the fz-09. People seem to love the engine on that bike. The stock suspension sucks but that's pretty easily remedied. The seating position is more upright than my striple but it has about 10 more horsepower. Price ain't bad either, even brand new.

I've got an sv650s that needs a good home.
Anyone else fighting the urge to ride back down to TN this weekend?
-
I've heard Ap parts are hard to come by because of limited distribution but I don't know about reliability. That said, I was looking at Aprilias before finally settling on the striple, perdy bikes.

Count me in unless something comes up between now and then (unlikely)

I pulled a downed squid from the brush on Saturday. Two piece leathers and a two piece Gixxar.
They're everywhere.
I'm gonna look for this dude on killboy when I get home and see what his body position looks like. Wish I was tactless enough to take out my phone and start snapping photos of the guy but why kick someone when they're down (about 20 feet off a cliff, quite literally).

No pics here so it musta never happened.
A lack of evidence is probably for the best.

Welcome!

What's the benefit of rooting the note3? I'm genuinely curious since it's what I have.

made it back just fine, no real excitement except for a couple tire minefields on 75/71.

I see your deadmau5 and raise you a:

At this point I'm 99% sure I will be at the race this year. I'm still trying to decide if I want to camp or grab a hotel room somewhere... Indy can get kind of pricy downtown and I'm not sure if I want to drop $700+ on a hotel room just for myself for the weekend. JW is fully booked already, Crowne Plaza has rooms available starting at $350/night ($200/night normally...) so the KOA might be calling my name.

Now you guys just need to start carrying Triumph/accessories and I'll never need to go anywhere else again.

"Columbus, it's alright"
the slogan for the city as far as I'm concerned. I'd rather be living here than Cinci, Cleveland or Dayton. If you want to see the worst of the worst drivers head to Atlanta, and may god have mercy on your soul.

I will say that the 2002 jetta that I've had since 2002 has been pretty good mechanically but the build quality was fairly poor. The electric system is a disaster and the exhaust/random motor parts seem to like to fall off/rust out about every 6 months and that has been happening since it was brand new. Unless VW turned over a shiny new leaf I probably wouldn't consider getting another one myself.

I won't be buying anything alpinestars again, that's for sure. My last pair of gloves wore through the leather within a season and my current boots (soon to be replaced, tried on some SIDI's yesterday and holy comfortable crap they were fantastic) the stitching has come out and some of the leather has actually torn just by walking around in them.
bad quality stuff.

Mazda has been doing really well lately too. The 2014+ Mazda3's get around 40mpg highway.
I looked at Subaru Imprezas and the 2012+ engine is really anemic. Gas milage isn't bad (35-ish) but it took quite a while to go from 60-75 on the freeway when I was test driving the Sport Premium version a couple months ago. The Mazda on the other hand was pretty peppy.
The Legacy has a larger engine than the Impreza so I'm sure it handles a lot better.

I can think of one scenario where wearing a helmet, not "laying her down" and wearing a seatbelt would all result in your death.

Didn't someone own this bike?

Who was it because I have a friend seriously looking at it.
Sent from my iPhone.
I'll be putting mine up soon, 2008 SVS dark grey. It's got a couple little battle scars on the plastic. Haven't landed on a price but it will be less than $4500 for sure. Upgraded suspension too! Once I get things sorted out after the little jaunt down to TN/NC I'll post it up.

supposed to be a bit chilly at 9am so bundle up.
-
At this point I'll say that unless my flight gets delayed I should be there.
-
Will be the Striple. Fairings on the SV would be nice on the highway but I think I'd be a double leg amputee by the time I get back to Columbus on Sunday.
I'm good to go whenever on Thursday. Figure I'd meet you guys south of Columbus where 71 picks up at a gas station of your choosing.

Worst case you do the trade and sell it if you end up wanting something different, right?
Have someone you trust check the bike mechanically though.
