  1. Downtown is not $900, its closer to $1500 or more. If you live 20 minutes outside the city you can get a 2 bedroom place for around $900/mo. A 1 bedroom/studio is like $700-800 a month so it made more sense to me to get a 2 bedroom and have the ability to grab a roommate to split costs if I wanted. Hell, half the people I work with in their late 30's/early 40's still have roommates.

The worst kind of people. Track rats.
  3. I may slot cross fit in at some point depending on how things go.
  4. Yep. I plan to do high protein low carb for a while, or at least until I'm horribly sick of eggs. Then I may transition to tuna and then ???
  5. @JustinNck1 I wouldn't recognize you if I saw you man. I'm down closing in on 20lbs since thanksgiving. Just got my new race suit this week and the lack of fit has been great motivation to drop another 60lbs or more by May.

You wouldn't happen to have a brake side hand guard as well would you? Looking for a set. Doesn't have to match or be pretty

Just talked to the (I'm guessing) owner and he will have more in stock next week. Merry Christmas to me I guess. Seems these make a little more power than chimera, thanks.

    2019 Gap Trip.

Not much, truthfully, just dotting all i's and crossing all t's. Full build will be: Racetech springs + heavier fork oil in forks YSS stage 2 rear shock Easily removable number plate (eventually with LED blinker strips and a small removable LED headlight) Shorter, thinner bars Kenda Kwik KD-1 tires Lever guards/moose hand guards, not sure which way I want to go here yet.. I would swap the hand guards over to the CBR when tracking that Ram air ------------ Thinking of possibly doing a clutch cover swap as well. There's an aftermarket clutch case cover that eliminates the oil flinger and lets you install a paper oil filter, it also has a glass viewport with a full oil indicator so no more dipstick. The biggest benefit to this would be eliminating the flinger though, that's like 5lbs of spinning mass gone. If I do the clutch case I would also swap out the stock clutch springs for stiffer aftermarket springs. I may do this anyway though, I just need to feel how well it grabs while racing.

this is my plan, except it will be even more embarrassing for the people being passed because I look like a 6'6 idiot riding a child's toy. although, the build is coming together pretty damn well. just ordered some kenda race DOTs and new valve stems to replace the leaky shitty stock ones. I just need to order the chimera intake, short levers and lever guards and she'll be ready to rock and roll.

    Hey Tpoppa

You're sitting right in the power band is where your rpms are at. But yeah, it's looking like I'll have a little extra spending cash this year due to a number of changes that will be happening between the new year and summer so I'll probably pick up a camera or two. Luckily my new fairings came with some mounts already attached Ordered a 1-piece yesterday. Having my current leathers rip apart at the zipper and tear the liner halfway out was a big factor in that decision. If that happens at 25mph I didn't want to find out what happens at 100+.

Thanks for the info! I'm not sure on the arbitration clause. The photos were taken in GA, and my guess is that the contract was signed in MS, although possibly GA. Again, this wasn't my wedding, I'm just trying to help the parties directly involved figure out how to go about pursuing something. I found out Saturday my cousin's company's COO is licensed to practice in GA as well as OH so I think there may be an avenue there if need be. That's why I'm keeping personal information out of this and keeping things vague. Can't defame a nameless person/business. There are no nasty reviews, this photographer had a successful business for a number of years, but dropped off the map for about 2 years prior to this job, as far as I understand it.
  14. well it wasn't cheap housing, the developer that went in on it with the city government built luxury condos while saying it was new housing for young professionals fresh out of college. everybody greasing their fingers.
  15. The really stupid thing is, a couple years ago at an event, I was listening to city officials/the mayor talk about wanting to lure in more young recent college grads to Columbus and part of the plan was to build more housing for them. Their solution ended up being these expensive apartments. What recent college grad is going to be able to afford that kind of a rent payment? lol...
  16. Yeah I'd like to move out of Columbus but I don't really want to drive an hour to/from work every day. Not sure on my permanence in the central Ohio area as well so I'm hesitant to buy. Also, $900/mo is on the affordable end. If you want a fancy apartment downtown, prepare to shell out $1600+ a month. Rent a house in the burbs? Have fun paying $2500+/month.

    2019 Gap Trip.

Yeah, that is happening the weekend of the 7th. Not sure how clogged the gap will be with them though... in past years when we were down there the same weekend I didn't really see many except parked at gas stations and at the gap store. Very few actually riding. Who knows though.

Thanks TJ, here's a free thread bump.
  19. I live just south of polaris/just west of westerville and it takes me 15 minutes to drive downtown. I would say the average rent for a 2 bedroom is around 900/month if it isn't in murder town. Henderson Road has some decent apartment complexes in the area and it's convenient as 315 gives you access to most of the city. Housing near campus will be more expensive, so clintonville, upper arlington, bexley, and grandview, short north, german/victorian village while convenient, will probably want $1200/mo or more for a decent 2 bedroom. If money isn't an issue then those places are probably a good bet. also, places to avoid - linden (very bad) westgate/hilltop/near the casino (home invasions/robberies/murders/etc) NE columbus in the area east of 71, south of 270 and north of 161 (kinda near pony, robberies/murders/etc) probably more that other people know about
