I have a cheap harbor freight dial gage I've been using for years. I checked it against one like yours and a very high end digital one my uncle uses for drag racing that reads down to 1/4 lb increments. And my little HF one is pretty dead nuts with both or them. Yea timing sucked for this trip, but my wife is having surgury the week I get back and I'm using FMLA for it. And my work takes any remaining vacation time you have left for fmla. So I had to use it or loose it. If you can get the time off I could delay departure till tuesday.

I usually don't have any problems though. Mine are easy to get to and the wifes bike has 90 deg stems on it.

Dont think I will, I'd like to save most of Maine for a Maine/Nova Scotia trip later on. Might even skip the Portland part and head back a day early, will all depend on how the trip goes and weather of course.

If I had the 2010 and up trim piece on my bike instead of the 08-09 storage compartment it would work. But I'm not paying another $90 to retro fit it.

I has a sad. Does not work for my bike, the little tank top storage compartment that's already on my bike is like 1/2 " too big for the tank bag to click down into place. I'm sure I could engineer something up to work but would probably look stupid. So on to the next guy $80 to your door that what I paid for it, I'll eat the shipping but thats my $10 ish lesson.

Why do most HD riders think a VRod is a good sub for a sport bike. Id take a sporster over a vrod on a twisty road and that still only going to get 20% of the job done.
