  1. Well the test run was very successful. Decided not to do the trail up the road since my wife sad it was only like a mile long. So we motored down to Mount Vernon and explored Ariel Foundation Park and the Heart of Ohio Bike Trail. For those that have never been to that park it is beautiful with bike and hiking trails and a few pond to fish from also right beside he Kokosing river. It was the site of the old Pittsburg plate glass factory that burnt down years ago. They have sculptures and cool things to see and the built stairs around one of the old smoke stacks that is still standing you can climb. Here is a link if you want to check it out. http://www.arielfoundationpark.org/ So we rode all around the park and a couple miles of the bike trail it was a fun time. The carrier worked flawlessly and i think walmart is going to get a couple more orders for it because others were impressed by it and ask where i got it. Maybe 7 to 8 min to load and 5 min to unload. Didn't get any pics because I left my phone at home but it was a fun time.
  2. Just doing a short test run tommorow. Local trail that maybe 3 miles long and is flat, we might run it a couple times.
  3. The glass will open, but the gate will only open with 3 bikes not 4.
  4. All racked up and ready for tomorrow, I flipping love this carrier. So easy to load.
  5. Mine and Mrs. bike's all fixed up, tuned up and cleaned up. Ready to roll. I did order a couple cheapo little speedometer computers off of Amazon they won't be here till Monday
  6. I'd say quit bitching and just ride the free bike.
  7. No was telling tim to DO IT !!!! as in BUY IT!!!...LOL
  8. "Who cares", figure i up the price to fix a foundation and you will be saying the same. Just have to do what you have to do and hope for the best.
  9. Here you go midget bubby.
  10. That's it right there in the pic and it's about 3 1/2 ft from the bumper. Kinda far but it's built strong enough to take the torque and I kinda like it that way. Just have to remeber it's back there..lol
  11. Our bikes don't go that fast. They are big heavy slow couches , remember. [emoji6]
  12. Could not believe it came home from work and the bike carrier was on my porch. Walmart.com got it to me in 24 hours, I was shocked. Also I want to comment that this carrier is rock solid. Very heavy duty and welll built. And I love how modular it is and how easily it look like it's going to be to load. (Haven't done it yet). You can load 4 bikes or take the rear section off and only use it for 2. The 2 sections slide apart to make it easier to load. If I would only load 3 bikes I would still be able to get the gate open on my Tahoe. This thing is exactly what I needed and it was $80 to my door. We plan on trying it out Sunday.
  13. This is the mount I have, I have one on both sides. one for my phone and the other side is a cup holder for long trips. https://www.amazon.com/Ram-Mount-Motorcycle-Clutch-Reservoir/dp/B0012TT8BK/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1466188791&sr=1-1&keywords=ram+mount+clutch
  14. That tether looks like a pain in the ass. I don't have one and never seen a need for one. Mine is a GS5 in a otterbox defender.
  15. He's the one that sold me on mine a couple years ago.
  16. Yup going on 20k miles with mine and its never slipped a bit. But 1+ on gluing the rubber feet on just a dot will do.
  17. To me it sounds like a terrible idea. Those HF trailers are great for what they are but if you start engineering something like this I think its going to be a bigger pain than it's worth.
  18. I ordered this, seems really heavy duty capacity of 160 lbs and a decent price. http://www.walmart.com/ip/17043484?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=22222222228009555357&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=40838598152&wl4=&wl5=pla&wl6=78651590672&veh=sem
  19. Do you have one or two disk in the front? I'm not familiar with the 300.
  20. Yea it's a start to get back out there. These 2 Huffy Back Waters have been hanging in my basment since we built the house back in 2002. When we lived in town we were only 5 blocks from Kokosing Gap trail and rode it all the time. Then we moved and stopped riding and got fatter. I'll post up more pics as I get them cleaned up a ready for the trails.
  21. Anyone need a kid carrier for their bike? Nothing wrong with it just need s a good cleaning, someone can have it for free if they can use it.
