I'll throw the bikes on the scale to see what they weigh. Most of the time it will only be 2 bikes but occasionally I'll haul all 4 if the kids want to go

Just read the Huffy story on Wikipedia and it is a sad one. Now owned by the Chinese due to American greed. These very well could be some of the last bikes build in the USA by huffy. We bought them right around that time period. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huffy

I know they aren't high end road bikes like ya'll but the wife wants to start hitting the bike trails and such. So I pulled the old pedal machines out of hibernation. Just a couple old huffy's and my dad offered his Shimano's for me to fix up. So today I started with this, my old huffy black water made in the USA model so you know it's old. And the last time it was out my 17 yr old kid sat in that rear seat. Needed a couple tubes and to free up some shifter cables but it's riadble again. My wife has one to that's the same model. I got 3 of the 4 bikes rideable just need to clean them up and make the adjustments before the hit the bike paths. The 4th bike needs 2 rubes and break pads so I'll get it going too. I need a bike carrier, I want a Reese hitch one that will hold 4 bikes and be sturdy. But of course I don't want to spend a lot, anyone have any recommendations?

Think I have the mrs talked into going next year. And no we will not be trailering. Probably go down for the whole week.

Yea I had some awsome riding days on Wednesday and Thursday last week, come the weekend it was getting bad.

Same here, driving into work this morning at 2am I so wanted to be on the bike, then I seen 2 deer on the side of the road and remembered why that wouldn't be a good idea.

I think a few on the boards got a good look inside of what these big 1400's can be capable of this weekend following me around. They aren't just big heavy turds, Yours is a little lighter and few more ponies than mine too so it should go even better. Like Hellmutt said just prepare for it to be a tire eating mother. Try throwing a 190-55 tire on the rear and she will turn in even better than it does now.

Just got home, I made excelent time. My feet literally touch the ground twice since I left Fontana. Once in Maryville to top off and the second time for gas, piss and Gatorade just north of Lexington. Took exactly 7 hours. Had a blast as usual, new faces old faces and great stories. Thanks to everyone for making it a wonderful time.

I vote next year we have this thing on a Sunday to Thursday or somthing like that. Because these stupid Fucking rolling road blocks that roll 30 to 40 fucking slow ass MOTHER FUCKING PIRATE LOOKING FUCKS ON THIER SLOW ASS FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT RUMBLE BOXES IS GETTING FUCK OLD REAL FUCKING QUICK!!!! I'm sitting on 28 at the corner of 143 waiting for one of those groups to get far enough ahead so I can ha e a decent ride back to Fontana. What is the point of rolling that many bikes together at 20 mph under the speed limit? Didn't see any of that earlier in the week. FUCk!!!!!!!!!

Well 3 hours and $457 later I have a new set of PR4 s on from Wheelers. Didn't think that price was bad at all. Cheaper than Pony and only $75 more than If I had put thrm on myself.

Did a familiar yet fun day. Did a out and back on the Skyway and the dragon I was very mean to the old C14 today. Finished off my rear tire so I'll be visiting wheelers in the morning for a new one. Dan got the part on for his bike after waiting all day for the UPS man. He is currently out riding some god forsaken road and I'm betting I won't see him again till dark. I'm currently eating dinner at The Hub and will be drink Miller lites on my return to the cabin.

Seen this sign today in Little Switzerland, and loved it

Me and Dan are in robinsville, had dinner at the diner and have comenced beer drinking. Great ride today for me started on 221 to BRP then did a loop in Little Switzerland that included 226A (the diamondback) and 80, both were awsome routes. I've ridden so many aswome roads lately I might as week throw my top 5 and top 10 list out the window. Got back on BRP took it to Cherokee and then on to Robinsville. To everyone traveling tommorow stay safe and have fun. I think I'm going to take it east tommorow, maybe just a short ride.
