    Daytona 675

I'm 6'4" 280 ish and had a TL1000 it was taller with nice room to the pegs. I did a few 500 mile days on it with no problems. I'm in love with my big boned sport touring machine right now (Concours 1400) PLENTY of room and sit nice and tall. Another great option for us tall guys are ADV bikes(multistrada, super ten, v strom, tiger) lots of room there too. Never rode a Daytona but I've sat on plenty and they disappear underneath me and my knees are flush with thr top of the tank.
  3. +1 on the Xena disk locks with built in alarms. But yea i also agree if the want it they are going to take it. Insure it and forget about it.

I'd do it, but I'm too fat.
  6. 4 weeks away, where's the procrastinators and the backer outers? Happens every year.
  7. You can drag it out and sell it to me
  8. I'll be doing some catch basins and french drains after i put my garage in. I'll have a water run off that will dam up on the north side of the garage that i need to divert to the opposite side along with the down spouts.
  9. My usual 5 or 10 over the posted limits, with an occasional more than spirited pick up. No Mach retard for me much anymore.

  11. It's most likely going to be a 2 day trip home, and enjoy the areas. Tonik told me about a few roads to hit down there. Like I said weather permitting. Also I'm still more than likely going to join your slabbin crew for the trip down. Unless I decide to leave earlier in the morning.
  12. Cool, time to keep an eye out for a used one, if one dosnt materialized I'll purchase a new one when everything else on the new garage is paid for.
  13. Brake lines or cable getting pinched or in a bind would be my guess too.
  14. Back On: Ok I have decided to make this a long way home trip. When i leave Fontana Sunday morning I will be taking the BRP to Boone, NC then hitting "The Snake" in TN and "The Back of the Dragon" in WV then jumping on I77 in Beckly WV and slabbin home. Might hit a couple other roads with time permitting. Only thing tat will change this is pure shit for weather. if you want to join me let me know.
  15. Just switched over to Progressive and it was $152 cheaper than Riders and i have more and better coverage. My previous Riders premium was $325 a year for full coverage in 2 bikes and comp on one atv, with 2 riders then they jacked it up to $455. My new policy with progressive is full coverage on all three rides, roadside with trip interuption, and upped the coverages for $307
  16. That's a awsome idea Jim she loved to travel so it fits. But; I don't do cemeteries. Probably sounds selfish but I probably won't go back out there till dad passes. But we have a wishing well mom bought us two Christmas ago we finally a couple weekends ago put it out in the yard on some stones. It turned out nice and the wife and kids are going to plant flowers in it mother's day, kind of like a memorial to her. Anyway I can steal your idea and throw them in that wishing well. Here is a pic of what we did. She would have loved it.
  17. Not really looking for a pity party but this will be the first mothers day without mom. Not sure how I'm going to handle it.
  18. Yes sorry I should have clarified, this one.... http://www.harborfreight.com/1000-lb-capacity-motorcycle-lift-68892-8495.html
