  1. Looks like I have to work Saturday morning now. Still going to try to make it but won't be able to stay as late or drink as much.
  2. If you can't get a DD but can get to my house the Mrs. said she would DD from here and you can crash on our couch till the mornin light. Just a option.
  3. The whole Gerbings/Warning Store/First Gear thing confuses me. I know the brands have been jockeyed around over the years but it just makes it confusing. My gloves are the Classic style mine are labeled Gerbings, but if I wanted to replace them Id have to order the Warm and Safe brand but they are the exact same thing. https://www.thewarmingstore.com/warm-n-safe-the-rider-classic-style-mens-heated-gloves.html My heat troller is Labeled andGerbings but are now labeled First Gear but labeled Warm and Safe http://www.warmnsafe.com/dual-portable-heat-troller-coax/ And finally my Jacket liner is a micro wire which is labeled a Gerbings but have been told the aren't made by Gerbing and aren't as good as the originals but the new ones are.
  4. Maybe, have to ask the wife what her hours are.
  5. Strange. I feel mine have already paid for themselves if they ever would fail I would not hesitate to get another set.
  6. The guys that are wanting to occasionally tour on their sporty bikes will eat these up.
  7. Think the key to the right side just like any heated grip is to give the cable plenty of play and make sure it doesn't hit anything with it's full range of motion. I know with the first couple years they were putting stock heated grips on the connie people were having issues with the right one. Then they issued a recall where all Kawi did was reroute the cable to give it more room and less kink and it fixed it. So when I installed mine I was particular on how I routed it.
  8. Tourmaster has stepped up their game in the last couple years and listening to what the masses want at really reasonable prices. Their quality has been stepped up too. People give them a bad rep because of something they were not happy with 5 of 10 years ago really should give then another shot.
  9. WOT all the time..... Fixed...MODs should close this thread.
  10. Those look like they are headed in the right direction..IF, you can buy additional batteries and swap them out for longer trips. Really cold or rainy days ill run my gloves on high or 75% all day long so the direct wire to the bike almost can't be replaced.
  11. I like both. Grips for those slightly chilly mornings but the gloves for the flat out cool or cold days.
  12. Huh, mine have been on for almost 3 years and 40k and still going.
  13. Oxford is the best. I've had a couple sets of the ones that go under the grips and they are garbage. If you want one that are slightly larger diameter for more comfort go with the touring model.
  14. But what he is saying is if both our names are on the same pass we should be good.
  15. Looks who's is winning the little spoon award
  16. I have have heard both, that the pass will work for two bikes and I have also head it will not that it is per vehicle. So really not sure which way to go. Like stated probably differs from each park and different park gate agents.
  17. I agree with the remarks on Crazy Horse cool to drive by and take pics from the road that about it, but as or right now its not on my route. Ive rode though Deadwood before but never stopped this trip we are staying a mile up the road and plan on being at the hotel early and walk down into down town for the evening and dinner. Good info on Mount Moriah, Ive never heard of that ill look into it. Last time I was on Pikes peak(in the truck), they had Thunderstorm, tornado warning and a snow squal all roll through in 2 hours time, the closed the summit before we hit the half way gate and we ended up turning around and head back down since they said it probably would not open. Before we got back to the bottom gate the summit had reopened, It was Crazy. no babbling here, love hearing others stories. Gets me thought the winter..LOL
  18. Yup that was the plan, since they are good for a year probably buy them real close to the time we leave so they might still be good into the following year. Heard the stories of the increase too. One would also thin the price of the annual pass will also increase. We will have to monitor this.
  19. This is a topic with @JustinNck1 He's young and will learn on this trip I guess.
  20. Yeah we know the plains and the desert areas are going to be hot but we had to balance our personal schedules and also didn't want to go too late because of snowfall in the passes.
  21. Sure, except for the carry all your shit part. We'll meet you at the hotel every night. (or next morning what ever time the Grayhound rolls in)
