  1. Wow.....I'm glad you are able to keep your sense of humor through all the BS on this forum. Good for you Motochic28! Max Power, You take offense when someone calls a sport bike a crotch rocket, but are the first to say that her idea of the ape hangers is ghey? Wow
  2. There is always mini apes, almost like a Heritage Softail bar.
  3. I say do it your way. Whatever you think, is what I think, you should go with. Apes are not something pemanent that you couldn't remove if you didn't like them. But you will have to get longer cables and probably do something for mirrors. Look for a used set for cheap, and that way you could always get your money back out of them if you don't like them. I say try it. I don't think drag bars would go with the look of your bike, but that's just my opinion. I actually like the beach style bars you have, but i understand the desire to change it up to make it your own. I like the whitewalls on your bike too. Gives it a good contrast. By the way, I saw your bike sitting downtown yesterday, lookin really good!
  4. I'm interested to see your work. I'd like to get mine completed at least over the winter if nothing else. We can talk about pricing later.
  5. I am looking for someone to work on mine as we speak. The bike is a show winner and could get you some recognition. Let me know. I'd be looking for something fairly exotic. My last one was a Danny Gray seat with Shark inlay's. Looking for something similar.
  6. Also check jakewilson.com and denniskirk.com for great pricing.
  7. I have not read the thread through, but to answer the original question, no, beacuse entering a lease was enough for me to learn my lesson. My son, 20 yo, just tried renting with his 2 best friends in the world, and 5 months later, it's over. They are stuck with a bad credit report and paying what is due in the next few months. Good luck man.
  8. Glad it wasn't worse. How attached are you to sport bikes? Cause that injury seems like it could keep you from putting much weight on your arm for quite some time. Keep up and complete all of your PT though for best chances of a full recovery. Here's to a speedy and full recovery though.
  9. +1 on Dennis Kirk. Forgot about them. They price match too if I'm not mistaken.
  10. cruisercustomizing.com usually has decent pricing. Have you checked the VTX forums?

    New Toy

I've got this for sale. Been sitting in the barn since last fall. 64' Buick Skylark Convertible. 310 Wildcat motor, powerglide. I'm having problems posting the pic. Check my albums if intetrested.
  16. Will be there in 2 weeks. Can't wait. Cool pics mgbgt89. your turn Cooter.
  17. Hmmmmm.....interesting. I assume you've riden plenty of "cruisers" to be able to say that it handled just "okay"? That's what sold it for me. Pretty impressive that an EX500 can turn consistent 12's.....hmmmm. I think for a 692 lb dry weight, that isn't too bad. It is still a cruiser after all. Sorry, don't mean to get defensive. This is just the best bike I have ever owned in my opinion. Sorry, back to the Fury thing. For some reason I think the motor just looks too plain, or simple. Not sure what it is. Definitely would have been better, in my opinion, with the 1800 motor.
  18. Not sure. No worries, I'll just wait for a couple of hours...lol
