I rode to work today and forgot to bring my flip flops. Looks like I get to wear my riding boots all day or my softball cleats I have a game right after work, so I brought them. Cleats it is!

Okay, Okay, I'll trade you a Ninja 500 and 11 boxes of Cat-5 for it

Thanks for posting this... It helps to remind the rest of us (me, at least) to wear gear no matter how hot it is. I'm glad you made it through (relatively) unscathed. In a week or two your arm will stop hurting, you'll have a great story to tell, and what's more... You get to start the hunt for a new bike! I picked a jacket based largely on appearance & color (It's ok to call me a poser) but I'm glad that it also happens to be leather, with armor & padding in it. I have riding pants too, but don't know what they're made out of or how well they'll protect me in a crash. I'm not sure I want to make the leap to leather there since I don't ride on the track and they're much more conspicuous that a leather jacket, when around town doing errands.

I personally find Katana's to be ugly. I think they look puffy, and the banana seat just caps it all off. Then again, there IS a gorgeous shade of blue on some Katana's that I love. All in all, they sell for less, which works in your favor. Be sure to point out that they're nowhere near as performance-oriented as a GSXR when you're haggling for price. All said and done, if the "drawbacks" of a bike aren't really drawbacks for YOU, you can get a great bike for cheap.

Juggalos and Jugalettes (male & female) are what the fans of "ICP" call themselves. ICP is a "band" called Insane Clown Posse made of of two guys who use facepaint and dress up like clowns. It actually sounds kind of silly when you explain it, haha.

Not the juggalos that listen to the music. The gang members that decided to have a gang and call themselves Juggalos

okay, relax, the wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juggalo_gangs actually does a decent job of explaining how the FANS OF THE MUSIC are different than the ACTUAL GANGS that use the name Juggalos.

All hating aside, he's a good basketball player and so it's a good thing that he's coming back to Cleveland. Gets us some more media attention, etc. All in all, I'm happy about it. He's someone we can actually get behind.

I wonder if there's a market for professional-looking safety gear... hrm....

I'm loving my commute on a bike. Far more exciting than driving to work We have a nice bathroom at work though where I can change and everything... A couple of guys ride pedal bikes to work, and there's a shower and everything. I just throw a pair of shorts & flipflops into a bookbag and off I go. Then when I get to work, change from riding pants into shorts, and I only needed socks for the boots, so I can swap right over to flippies.

Welcome to the real world. Society will judge you by those who dress like you, listen to the same music, have the same tattoos, and behave the same way. If you're a little different from them, but you still have, as a tattoo, their main symbol, well then... Get over it, you're gonna be lumped in with them. And if they're a bunch of morons and you're an upstanding citizen.... tough shit. All you can do is be who you are, but you DO need to realize that people WILL judge you. (Don't they make you sign a release form or something when you get a tattoo, saying that you understand you will be forever judged by it, no matter what it is? Well, they should.)

Thanks Craig I'm loving it! Although I do miss the YZF600 when I'm on the highway. Maybe what I like most about this one is that it's in great shape, looks new, and has low mileage. It's like dating a nice, innocent, clean woman who hasn't yet been molested.

As noted. I only had a second to snap this before a fireman naturally came along behind me, so I didn't have time to take a better picture, or mess with the lighting, framing, etc. It'll have to do, for the first one after two years. Let's start this thing up again. Remember, the destination is just the excuse to ride edit: It helps if I upload the pic. See next thread.
