  1. I'm doubtful - Softball tournament + distance + I'm casual enough that I like meals
  2. XL HJC Helmet, $8? Where in Eastern Ohio do you live?
  3. The GF ALWAYS brings her big purse to movie night
  4. Great classic theatre. I think they still play Rocky horror every other saturday at midnight... and I saw Donnie Darko there at midnight a year or two ago, too I should be able to make it over there before too long unless someone beats me to it Good Choice, Lord Kanon! I dated a girl who had a friend who was the manager (has since quit) but she gave us a behind-the-scenes backstage tour... We got to see the screens from the 30's, 50's, & 70's before they put up the current ones, + the ones ruined in a fire in the 30's, and all the projection rooms and everything. Was fun
  5. Thanks guys, good stuff in here. I think I'd probably snap up an SV650 if I saw a good deal..... And I'm def leaning torwards the 650... the only real advantage, other than price, of an ex-500, is more experience riding different kind of bikes. That's part of the fun for me, and as a developing rider, experience trying out different rides is worthwhile. Granted, it might be an expensive lesson Unless I sell my blast soon, It's looking like I won't be acquiring a new bike this fall... I tend to just pucker up when I think about taking money out of the bank. If I sell my blast, then I'll be in top gear mode to buy a new bike, and have the cash sitting in a pile. As it is now, I have $800 in cash under my matress + a bank account with plenty in it... Just hurts to think about withdrawing it, so I'd much rather sell the blast. The important thing is that I'm not desperate, and if I can make myself be patient enough, I can wait for the winter to get a good deal, and take it, and then sell the blast in the spring. I add $400/month to my cash-pile for a new bike. Course, it's tough to test-ride and ride it home in the winter, unless you guys just mean cold temps, (not snow) and cold temps don't bother me AT ALL for riding.
  6. Appearance is important to me... Makes it more fun to ride. Painting a bike is either a pain in the ass to do it myself (I'm lazy) or expensive to have someone do it for me As for gear matching bike... Yeah, right now blue gear & black bike works fine... I wouldn't want to do blue gear/blue bike. that's TOO much blue.
  7. Thanks very much for the responses, everyone! I figured most would pick the 650 for me... Only problems are limited color choice, limited budget, limited availability They were only made '07 and after, and with a redesign in '09, anything 09 or newer is too expensive. I'm looking at a couple '07's... A blue with a salvage title, and a red with a good title... but those (few) from here who've ridden with me know my jacket/helmet/gloves are blue, haha. I hate red on a bike and I LOVE blue, but I might have to compromise on this next bike. I know a 500 wouldn't hold me long-term, but it would be a more powerful bike to move up to after a Blast, as well as a smoother riding experience... I don't mind the baby steps before buying the bike of my dreams... It gives me more experience riding and more experience on more types of bikes. Good feedback, though, from the EX-500 guys... I DO get annoyed when I'm on the highway and don't have the "oomph" to pass people quickly, and I'll admit that 1+ hour on the freeway on an underpowered bike makes me want to ride less (or less far). Sounds like people are definitely leaning towards the 650r for very solid reasons and now I'm leaning that way also... (But sheesh, you can get an EX-500 for under 1500 and any 650r will be at least 2500+ ) I love these conundrums They're fun!
  8. You guys get hotel rooms down there?
  9. How long of a drive is it to get there? Who all went?
  10. I'm leaning toward one of these two bikes right now as a likely next ride... End of the season, there's some cheap deals, and I ride in the cold long enough into the season to still enjoy a new bike before putting it away for the winter. Both have more HP than my Blast and both have fairly comfortable seating, right? Just wondering about some opinions and what everything thought about these two models... A 2000+ 500 can be had for less than 2 grand, and a 2007+ 650r can be had for less than 3... Toss in your $0.02 for me! Extra credit if you do own/have owned one or the other. Thanks guys & gals, -- Josh
  11. I'm a maybe/possible for both dates... The 17th is my 9-month anniversary with the GF (Hey, Honey, if we'd had sex on our first date, you'd be due now!) and the 24th is a Northcoast 99ers group ride. (NC 99ers is a Meetup.com motorcycle group... I've heard good things but have yet to go on a ride w/ them). As of right now, both days are a possible "yes" for me.
  12. Congrats! +1 for more pics. And how much was the ring?
  13. I'd sell it for 2K, if I still have it in a month. For those of you saying I need a shorter post... Done! http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/2587970925.html
  14. We should call him and e-mail him from different addresses and fuck with him
  15. He has it relisted: http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/2587572622.html
  16. Where were you guys when you got the news? I was on my ship, in the Navy, in port at Norfolk, VA. They told us we had 3 hours to get out to sea (it normally took 2 weeks). We ended up being a radar picket ship off the coast of Washington D.C.
  17. 2005 Buell Blast. I've owned it exactly 1 year and 1 week Listed for sale, and for my next bike, I'm thinking of either a Ninja 500, Ninja 650r, or something along those lines.
