  1. Apparently my bike has a weight limit of 400 lbs... Who knew!
  2. I tried to get one, but I was too late All sold out, or I'd've bought one (or two) for sure.
  3. I was on my way home from our group ride when I rode past... 1 cop car in back laying down flares, and 2 cop cars near a big BMW Touring bike... The bike was up on it's stand and I didn't see any rider around. Didn't see any obvious damage, but went by too quickly to see

Awesome ride... My first real group ride, too. Got some great advice from IP on improving my riding skills, and it was great to meet the rest of you... Thanks to NinjaDoc for organizing and getting me to come out, and to I.P. for leading most of the way. And to Siacono for getting me back to 77 on the way back home. My ass is killing me and my lips are chapped I stopped at State 8's showroom on the way home, and then http://www.ohiomotorcycle.com also, since I passed them and didn't know they were there... They were a lot friendlier. I sat on 600RRs, zx-6Rs, 650R's, etc. I've got the bug and need to move up

  12. The link: http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/2566450959.html In case it's deleted, the text: Subject: ===2007Kawasaki ZX6r GT with upgrades=== - $1800 (cleveland) Body: Good looking Kawasaki ZX6R. Please contact for additional information. I e-mailed asking why so cheap, and I get this as the response today: Thank you for your interest in my bike. Up for sale is my Kawasaki ZX-6R 2007. It is in absolute PERFECT condition. It does not have a scratch or even a bug on it for that matter. It has always been garage kept and is in showroom condition. It has never been dropped or in any sort of accident. The bike has had the proper break in and service. It has 8.747 original miles. This bike was bought directly from Attack Performance and has been barely used (times ridden stated above). The bike is still under the factory WARRANTY that is transferable to the new owner. It comes with both keys, owners manual, rear seat (still in plastic) as well as the rear seat cowl. I have a clean title in hand. The bike is already at our Military Logistic Department in our military base in Eielson Air Force Base crated and ready to go. Shipping may take anywhere between 1-2 business days depending on the destination. All documents you need for ownership, title, manuals and bill of sale will be provided along with the bike. As you may know we can ship a car/bike/etc from home to the base and back, one time in a year for free... As I'm unable to travel in the near future and I don't have anyone available back home to help me with the sale I decided to sell this bike through Craigslist. The transaction will be made entirely through Google Checkout Protection and we both will be covered. If you want to complete the purchase please send me your: Phone Number, Full Name and Shipping Address and I will notify Google that you are selected as my buyer and they will contact you to explain the entire procedure. The final price is $1800.The price is low because I need to sell it before September 4th. So if you decide to buy this bike or need further information please get back to me as soon as possible. Here are some pictures with the bike: http://s1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa340/jbutler27/?albumview=slideshow Thank you and have a great day... Sgt. John Butler U.S. Army Garrison Eielson Air Force, Base, Alaska PS. Sorry for the long email I have tried to touch all base

Should be fun, but boy, my ass is gonna be hurtin' before the ride even starts
  14. And your girlfriend? It's great to know that you're willing to die, but instead of calling the rest of us kids and making cracks about posts appearing when school is out... Man up and realize you have a responsibility to others and not just yourself. Even if you don't have kids or other family members, I'm willing to bet that your GF would miss you if you got into an accident and died. As for helmet being the cause of death... Let me make an analogy... One time when I was gambling in a casino, playing blackjack, the dealer was showing a face card and the some drunk idiot had 19. He hit. He got a two. Dealer had 20, he had 21, and he won. Does this mean the right thing to do is hit a 19 in blackjack? Hell no. You can't take 3 cases and think that since "well that time it worked out" (or the reverse) that it's the mathematically sound thing to do. Who knows, maybe you talked to your GF and she's willing to go on with her life knowing you're ready to die and be pretty non chalant about it. Know what? I respect someone's decision to not wear a helmet if they want to "feel free, ride free, BE free." I might not agree with it, but I respect it. But when you tell me you don't wear a helmet because you think it's more dangerous? Then I don't respect that viewpoint, and it causes me to lose a little respect for you, too. If you really think helmets do more harm than good, then you're an idiot. And I very rarely resort to name calling and insults. nothing personal, but... Again, if you think helmets do more harm than good, no matter what your personal experiences are with friends, then, again, you're an idiot. You'd probably do it twice... Just not tell your friends about it
  15. Brigham, I think it sucks that you DON'T wear gear, but it sucks MORE that you're trying to make fun of the other rider FOR wearing gear. Yes, expensive helmet and "wanna be racer" attire.... I don't wish ill will on you, but I DO believe in karma.... Next time some jackass in a car hits you and you have no control over it whatsoever.... You're gonna WISH you'd been wearing a helmet and some "wanna be" gear. Consider this a preemptive "I told you so."
  16. in for the hat, Shirt won't fit
  17. I thought of that, but I'll save it for next Spring as a last resort. I might be able to sell it before then, or trade it for something I'll like more (Or trade it for something I can sell for more). Besides, watching all the bikes for sale section every day is fun Then again, RIDING would probably be MORE fun....

  19. NoNo, I was listing the things that'd make MY bike an easier sell. I E-mailed him and said I didn't think swapping him bikes would help me reach my goal. I said good luck on his eBay auction and if that didn't work out and he wanted to purchase mine, maybe we could work something out.... Didn't burn any bridges LOL he offers me a swap + a grand, or something, and then he might have a deal
  20. I'd go... If I had a better bike
  21. welcome aboard! Might want to post in the tech section, since tech dudes might not read "New guy" posts, which is what this looks like.
