  1. And why is that? If you are referring to the fact that old rabbit ear antenna can pick up VHF HD channels then yes, you are right, but they also have UHF now which is not picked up on those.
  2. Had braces from 6th to 8th grade, wore a retainer for a year or so after, haven't had a retainer for 6 or so years and mine are still like the day the braces came off. My teeth were pretty bad too. Only had the top braces because my dentist said the bottoms were not bad and would grow together, 9 years later I regret not having them.
  3. Can it be knocked over on the kick stand side with a high enough wind?
  4. ...so I need advice quick! Which direction should I park my bike in this wind so that it does not get blown over? Or is it too heavy to blow over?
  5. Ended up remembering I had epoxy left over from the cracked headlight housing and used that on it last night. Got to play with the dremmel because that epoxy gets super hard and is impossible to sand. Check my build thread to see the pics, I think it turned out perfect, will find out when it's primered. The tail section was actually stock triumph plastic so it worked great. 04daytri, you haven't found anymore pieces to this bike have you? If so I'll pay to have them shipped to me, I'm missing intake tubing, the rear fender, and the seat cowl.
  6. No idea how many heat cycles, they were not mine. The date codes, if I remember put them back to 2006 or 7, don't know the codes off hand, the tires are at my parents house and I will be there this weekend.
  7. Haha whoops, here it is. http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29
  8. Got the crack repaired and sanded, the front fender sanded, and working on sanding and polishing one of the headlights that had scratches.
  9. Depends on where you live if that will work or not. Here is a website that tells you where the stations are around you and how far away you are from them. Supposedly you should get all the stations about 20 miles from your house with just a plain antenna, amplified preferred. I get all the major locals except CBS off a cheap $10 non amplified antenna and I live exactly 18-20 miles away from all the stations. I even tried 3 powered antenna all of different design and size and all powered, but the non powered cheapo gets more channels than any of the other ones. You just kinda have to try them out and see what works. I think my next step is a $50 outdoor antenna, that should do the trick.
  10. Pics? Looking for something for passengers to wear.
  11. Power Race 120/70R17 front and 180/55R17 back Pilots 120/60R17 front and 180/67R17 back
  12. I have a set(front and back) of Pilot slicks and a set(front and back) of Power race tires I need to get rid of. Looking for $50 per set o.b.o.
  13. Yeah, not my favorite either. The MAF sensor and coil packs on my nissan made me want to pull my hair out. So hard to diagnose those kinds of issues.
  14. Wow, I may end up buying one of those.
  15. Thats on the list of things Im gonna try. Im a big fan of sea foam but Im not sure my neighbors will be lol.
  16. Nope, this has been happening since November.
  17. Klipsch 5.1 speaker set, pioneer receiver. Done. Great sound for around $700. I would say go with a couple floors and a couple bookshelf speakers but then you are getting into the $13-1500 range. Although you may be able to go in and get a great deal at best buy, I used to work there and know that home theater equipment was like 50% markup so you have some room to negotiate. Although HH greg works on commission so you may have better odds there. Still mad I didn't get the Klipsch/JBL/Pioneer set up I was looking at before I quit. $1500 in equipment for $700 shipped to my house :/
  18. It supports a lot of triumphs, including mine and the new 675.
  19. This is what it sounds like, you can hear me rev it right at the end but my phone ran out of memory and cut the rest off. But you can hear it running rough when i rev it, it should sound more like an f1 car than a cruiser. But it needs to get up to about 3500-4000RPMs to start sounding right and it takes all the way up to 6000RPMs before all the power kicks in. I have to rev the nuts off it to get it to take off from a stop or else it will bog down and leave me with no power in the middle of the street.http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f268/JStumpalump150/?action=view&current=5a632183.mp4
  20. Im just gonna buy one, they are only $15.
  21. Just ordered a set of PR2's from all the reviews I have read online about them being grippy yet lasting around 7-10,000 miles. I hear they also do extremely well in rain, which has always been a concern for me. I just don't trust 2 wheels in the rain, granted I haven't had much experience in it either.
  22. No, this is really bad. It sounds like a v twin, not a 4 cyl. Had the bike from june to october and it ran great, october/november it started to do this. It sounds almost as if it is misfiring but I get no codes which is why I think it is a plug. I checked the stator/rr but that checks out fine. Could also be a valve timing issue though if the plugs check out right? The tuner I am looking at is freeware that you can download custom maps for, you just have to buy the OBDII cable for like $15. Also, I do not know what FWIW stands for but I bought the EBC organic pads a couple days ago.
  23. I was planning on painting my bike white sometime anyway, and last night just got me motivated to do it. I also need to replace the brakes, tires, and fix the engine stumble under 4000 RPMs(think it may be a bad spark plug). So I figured I would start a small build page. Since I am doing so much work to this thing, I figure I may as well tear it completely apart and check and clean everything(well mostly everything). Here is my checklist of things to do... Replace spark plugs(Done) Replace front brake pads(Done) Change oil and filter(Done) Replace fork seals and oil Replace front and rear tires Repair cracked rear plastic(Done) Paint plastics white, everything else black(Done) Replace ugly rear turn signals with LED flush mounts(Done) Replace brake lights with LED(Done) Polish headlights(Done) Thoroughly clean engine and frame(Done) Clean air filter(Done) Check all fluids(Done) Install silverstar ultra bulbs(Done) Get TuneECU and cable Break bike with TuneECU and cable Google how to fix bike after breaking it with TuneECU and cable Fix bike with TuneECU and cable Reassemble RIDE!! And depending on how much money I have left after all this possibly some New levers New mirrors Miscellaneous pieces that are missing like a rear fender Tinted windscreen(Done) I hope to have this all done by end of March, mid April depending on how the weather is and if I can get outside to paint. Here is the start.
  24. Do not have comp, the bike just isn't worth the extra $500 a year for it. All it is costing me really is a can of bondo and new turn signals, which I was going to get anyway.
  25. Yes it is! Thats easier said than done. No one has this bike.
