  1. I was always under the impression from hearing things that on a cruiser the back brake was just more important than the front. I believed it until I rented a Fatboy a couple years ago. I ended up riding it the same way o would ride the vfr. 99.99%+ front brake only except in a hard braking situation when it was still 85% front.
  2. I got Esurance for the 599. $83.00 a year for very very high liability $0 comprehensive with underinsured . no insurance body and property. No collision.

  5. And how does some random persons personal choice affect you?I might be some random internet troll. And I've ridden jacketless and helmetless plenty of times. Now that I have a kid I wear what I feel will protect me in a crash. But it is all personal choice and that is what is great about america. As long as someone else's actions do not cause you financial or physical harm there is nothing wrong with it.
  6. Why does anyone care what he chooses to use for protection? Its his bike, his life, his choice.
  7. Tell him the glow button on Timex story.
  8. 10k per year for myself, wife and daughter. Imagine what could be done to stimulate the economy if we only kept insurance for our daughter. Ya my wife's employer pays for it but if we could get that extra money in her paycheck. At least our company only employees 3 (not including me) full time people so we fall well under the radar for keeping drug addicts employed and paying for anyone's health care. Shit since my wife got her new job 3 years ago our company hasn't even offered health insurance, but the 3 full time people have their own through spouses. So basically our company offered insurance just for me. And that freed up a bit of capital through the company. Just think if people weren't forced to buy something they could spend the money elsewhere and really boost the economy. But as long as obummacare is law my healthcare mutual funds are putting a nice extra chunk of change in my pocket.
  9. If you still have it in a week I'll probably get it

    What place is it
  12. Thanks. I did about 30 miles from the first time it hit one bar. And only took 3 gallons. But good to know it flashes. Thanks again
  13. Medicinal Inhalation Herbs from Michigan are the bomb.
  14. Gump, did you ever have any issues with the fuel gauge? When I parked the bike on Sunday I was at 1 bar but when I rode the other day it was on 3 bars for 10 minutes or so. 2 bars for 20 minutes then back to 1. Or is it just character of the bike?
  15. Really wanted to commute on the bike today but I have a bunch of tools I borrowed from work that need returned.
  16. If someone wants it they'll take it. I leave the key in mine in a closed garage. Not that anyone would even want a naked bike with a small frame and a round headlight. Not that any typical the if would even know what it is.
  17. I don't do car payments. But it does get to a point when 3 500+$ repairs happen in a relative short time that it is time to get a new car. I try to stay under 7$k with around 100k or less miles. Usually drive something for 4-5 years. My focus though kept going and going and going. I would have kept it but getting an infant in and out of the back of a 2 door started to play havoc on my shoulder.
  18. Just write your friendly congressman. I'm sure they'd be more than willing to force company's to include stuff most people don't want on their bikes.

    Rothco Boots

Try bates. I wear a pair when I'm on my feet for 10-12 hours a day at work with a combination of grass mud gravel and asphalt and they have held up well
  20. If you have a narrow head it will fit fine. I got one recently and the first ride it dug into my forhead but each subsequent ride got better and now it is comfortable.
