  1. Straight shooter, good guy to deal with....buy with confidence folks
  2. I can make 11:30 happen, will push some chores out to later afternoon. Say meet at the UDF on the corner of Walnut and Miami just past the square? It has a large lot. I'll be in a silver Tacoma truck
  3. Can you do 1pm? I've got some things to get done this morning and that would help keep me from rushing to be in Urbana by then. Where'd ya wanna meet up exactly?
  4. I was swayed by several here to get the Q2's, glad i did as they performed very well for a heavy bike and Novice trackday'er. Cant imagine the Q3 would be any less of a tire. Buy both and report your reviews
  5. Looking at the course time frames Jack listed, I find it odd that the ARC I took at the Honda plant in Troy was only 8am-1pm. Wondering what I missed out on, if anything? Tiger, I got a 2 year deduction on my insurance premium before it expired and returned to standard rates. I believe we had Progressive at that time, just fyi

    New Bike

Congrats man. Nice ride. Hypers definitely have some tall gears. I've seen well over 160 and had just hit 5th gear. Be careful out there, these can really speed up the Earth's rotation before you realize how fast you're actually going
  7. Seconded. It wont really test or teach much to a skilled/seasoned rider, but it's worthy of the pricetag. And, you can still turn it into your insurance provider for a double kickback and virtually make money by completing the courseRephrase - it deemed me a return from my insurance provider, other results may vary
  8. I leave out Saturday morning now, was supposed to head out this morning but the closing on my Dads place was moved to today and he wont be ready to move until tomorrow. I'm off work, so I could meet ya today sometime. What time works for ya?
  9. Yeah, prices are good. I have a small combo now for the house, just figured it'd be cool to have some alternatives to play through at home. If I end up not liking one or both, I can always trade in on other equip or sell to bandmates
  10. Ok, whats an acceptable meet spot? It will be a while before I can do this though, leaving for Alabama and wont be back until Wednesday
  11. Wish you weren't so far away, I'd almost be willing to pickup the amps just for gits n shiggles
  12. Copey's is good stuff.......our shop caters chow in from there once in a while. Good cuts
  13. I don't blame ya, I've always had low mile bikes and I really like the 12's too - especially since they're a rare breed to see around much ( at least in my neck of the woods ). That's what drew me into the 14's, hardly see many out there. I'd own any hyper other than a Busa, only due to their over-popularity. What fun is it to ride something you see everywhere else? Plus the Busa tails of any year are not attractive, imo. Best lookin' Busa I've ever seen had a GSXR1k tail conversion.......anyway, sorry for the threadjack Jeremy -- GLWS
  14. Corey......'06-'08 ZX14's "can" ( loose term as it's rare ) be had in the $5k-$6k range. I bought my '08 in early '09 for less than $8500 @ 5k miles with Brocks system and pc3 already tuned. There's good deals out there for them, just gotta hold out until they reveal themselves. Told myself I'd wait at least a year to buy a bike after selling my YZF......yeah, that lasted about 5 weeks before I was convulsing and dry heaving from the withdrawal symptoms. Wasn't even shopping for a hyper, really wanted a Concours but the new one's had just been out a year so all were $10k or more -- and when this 14 popped up on CL, I dove on it. Jeremy......is your cel # still the same? I may hand out your number to a guy here at work that is showing some interest......Oh, and if the asking price is paid out, would you consider lending him your face just for 30 minutes as a vagina simulator? If not, he did say it "probably" wouldn't be a deal breaker.....but it would surely sweeten the pot
  15. Sorry, I'm stuck at work all day, not to mention it would hit me for about 3/4 tank of fuel just to get there and home again. But your bike is small enough to actually fit in my truck ( short bed Tacoma ) Good luck man, maybe try renting one? I know a cheap way to rent a truck is go to Lowe's or Home Depot and nab their flatbed pickup for $20-$30, then you just need ramps
  16. Thanx bro. Unlce Ted is the man, and I truly love his meat.......seriously, I do......no homo
  17. Sucks to hear Jeremy, hope everything works out and you get what you're asking. I'll ask around and let ya know if anyone bites on it. Fair price so it should sell quickly enough. You'll love the 14. Comfy, capable, and goes from crusin' to mach in a twist of the wrist
  18. Nah, I was just on the street map so just a puny 185ish HP
  19. Seconded - He's not only got a quick accord, but a quick work ethic as well
  20. Closing is set for Wednesday the 25th, so Friday I'm off to Alabammi to move 'em back up here.
  21. Q2's are a good tire on most any sportbike, but they wont last with the extra weight of the hyper ( not to mention my additional payload ) shearing them up under hard braking and hard throttle use. They definitely perform well, I just dont expect long life out of them. I'll be lucky to get 2-3 more trackdays in on them
  22. Knowing the seller as well as I do, this box is surely better than new. He probably buffed/polished the box top to bottom the day he got it to protect the paint! No misrepresentation in whats for sale here folks....Honestly, whoever gets this is buying like new equip....GLWS!
  23. My wife's uncle owns a professional auto detailing company and swears by lexol products. Not sure if it's that much better than Pokey's choice, but if her unc trusts his business to lexol leather products, that has to say something http://www.lexol.com/
  24. As for track use, STT had us set our tire pressure at 30/30 so that in itself will help most any tire gain traction. But your street riding is where they really count bro. Glad you went with better tires before the Gap trip and trackday, I was worried for a bit when you told me about the vibration and lacking confidence with your new Conti's. I may try the GT's once the Q2's are done in, they seem to work well for ya all around. Only have a few hundred street miles on my Q2's since they're supposed to be dedicated track use, so they'll probably last next season depending on the number of trackdays we sneak in Which may prove beneficial in getting the GT's cheaper later on
