First I've heard of this actually. Wish I'd have known what was up and who he was before the cops nabbed him. If I hadnt straightened up years ago, I could've done "something" to get a free weekend in there with him to administer a bit of justice, but Miami County jail is a weak joke at best. There's no hazing or violence going on in there and sadly enough its easy to sleep peacefully. Small cell blocks of 8-10 inmates each and they're always being watched via cameras and random walkthroughs every hour. Cant get away with shit in that place.

Me too, I wear a helmet and have one of the loudest systems available - and baffles out of it is just stupid loud. But honestly, what good are loud pipes when most of the dumbass drivers that aren't paying attention either have their windows up with a cel phone to their ear, or cranking an overpowered stereo system to drown out the world around them? People can hear my bike behind them, and I've taken advantage of that occasionally. Left lane squatters tend to move over when I pipe my disapproval of their pisspoor driving habits, and those that dont get passed. Helmet or no helmet - personal choice should be the law EVERYWHERE even though I do choose to wear one. No different than choosing to wear seatbelts imo, the only difference is when they make it a law - they're simply looking to pad the state's income with more citation possibilities, and statisics only help them confirm it's a safety conscious decision instead of a greed driven idea.

I'm sure with the weight difference between the 300/500, the 300's EFI, and equipped with a full system and tune - the 300R would be just as awesome as any 500, plus it would fit her better imo. Definitely a superior option to the 250R just due to the additional 50cc's, EFI, and improved styling. Not sure why they just didn't make this the new EX500? Its was in dire need of a redesign like the 250R got back in '08. There's also a new Ninja 400R that looks just like a derated 650R. Almost too many small caliber options when all that's needed in the U.S. is this 300R, a redesigned "500R", and the other classes as they are now. They have a trend in the European market for the smaller calibers since I've been told the MOT regulates bike owner's options overseas and makes the public work their way up to larger displacement bikes over periods of time, so the demand for these there is understandable.....but over here, it seems folks just want to start on a little bike before hopping onto a 600/750-up? My wife is limited on choices due to seat height issues, so this is appealing to us as a decent upgrade for her - so we may have one in the stable someday soon
