  1. Ahha......ok, so you just need more power to outrun them on the straights.......get some NOS on that 6, or buy a bigger bike
  2. If you're getting passed easily, ride a wider bike Simply trailbrake to the inside, get a wheel on 'em, and push 'em wide
  3. I've got the Icon Field Armor boots.......not sure about all day comfort as I've only ridden in them a few times, but they definitely break-in slowly -- so I'm thinking some Lexol cleaner and conditioner are in their near future.......if that doesn't soften them up, I'll go with Easton leather oil or pine tar.
  4. Not too sure, maybe check the local strips website? Jason Miller Seminars is one I know of but other than that, I've no clue - not really my forte'
  5. Maybe try a drag seminar......not saying you wear dresses, it'd just be a good place to learn the right way
  6. My street lids interiors get washed as needed, just depends on use - just pull it all out and throw it in the laundry, then let 'em airdry......tightens the helmet's fit again, and smells way better too
  7. Hopefully Honda has better luck racing with the "fly-by-wire" than Ducati did at first.......I know there's always bugs to work out when pioneering a new development in any sport - but it's hard to be very accepting of a new throttle system when the old setup has been tried and true for the last 75 years - so, I'm not really sure I like the idea just yet.......also, if there's a throttle cable malfunction on the mechanical setups, replacement parts are cheap in comparison to all that can go wrong with the electronic throttles
  8. Sweet! Was it on sale in the dairy section or was it hanging out in the meat dept?
  9. Gotcha, thought it was an OEM feature or something. I'm sure I need to fit one on mine, couple up on the rear too so its showing more than my actual speed, not to mention factory's already pisspoor calibration
  10. How are you guys getting the speedo recall to show? I want to try this on my bike, although I'm not sure if I want to know just how stupid I've been:D
  11. Thanks, my wife can be quite the photographer at times
  12. Pack it with explosives before throwing lead at it:D:D:D
  13. I'm sure it's simply drama written into the show for the finale -- not saying that Kris doesn't like Steph or that Kris is a complete dumbass, but I HIGHLY doubt he's idiotic enough to walk out of that place over a female.......I'm figuring that when the new episodes air, he'll straighten up and continue loving his job and staying infatuated with Will's daughter.........that artillery piece was sweet though, and damn cool of them to bring out some WWII vets to spectate
  14. ^^^ Thats what I was thinking too - good in-betweener to learn on before eventually upgrading to a 6 or 750
  15. Oooooh!! A nudey track bike.......'twould be cool to see AND cheaper to fix in a down! Had a friend with a '95 CBR6 that bought aftermarket and it seemed to fit / look well Think it was sharkskinz
  16. ^^^ :D:D I call it my phallus' forecraft
  17. :welcome:Thankyou for my freedom!!
  18. There's a lot of riders here that can attest to trackdays for the best environment to learn your bikes capabilities, and proper techniques - plus you'll have a blast doing it
  19. I think Herrin's title contention started failing earlier this season when he was suspended for a race.......major points deduction right there. AND he fuggered up at MO too when he kept trying for the pass at the carosel and last turn before the finish......think he went from 2nd to 4th? He'd been running it wide on that exit all weekend and finally pulled the trigger on the last lap.......bike wobbled bad, and he lost the raceline........fail. Other than these issues and a couple mechanicals, he may have had the championship in the bag and he's usually always a top 5 rider. I'm glad Hayes got the SBK title - he earned it. Herrin in SBK next season will be interesting........surely he'll try to prove he belongs there early on, but I foresee him falling back in the pack a bit while getting accustomed to the new power/weight/handling of the bigger Yammie.........another reason to be glued to Speed Channel next year!!
  20. I hit a groundhog once on my first little streetbike.......luckily, intuition took over and I instinctively stiff-armed the handlebars -- ran right over him, kept the bike on 2, and didn't kill him either.........but it was definitely a soiled-drawer moment. Deer are much more difficult to jump unless you can bunny-hop over a car, then you may have a fighting chance! :D All in all, I'm glad you didn't plow the deer.......but if you had, hit me up.......I'm looking for some pre-season venison steaks!!
  21. That's one tasty tactical toy right there......nice little build man
  22. I'll school ya on the fact that I'm clueless to this technology I just got into the HD realm this year.......my last remote was made of oak and marble, lashed together with baling twine:D
  23. I wouldn't worry about drag racing a stock wheelbased 600.......you're doing it right by going to trackdays etc........just go pickup a cheap 1000 or bigger and stretch it out to learn on Up to you though........I'm not a drag fan myself - I enjoy turning too much
  24. Not sure I'd go with "stock" as they're typically heavily baffled aren't they? I'd look into a new or used aftermarket replacement just so you know it won't change your backpressure much.......but either way you're right to get a retune after the repair
  25. Buell X1's are good for torque and flickability too. Think they run out of pull around 135mph? so they're not overkill speeders like most bigger bore bikes - but I think the belt drive is a bit restrictive if you want more or less power, can't simply swap out sprockets and adjust the chain to suit you. However, their handling / shorter wheelbase, and radial front brake systems are schaweeeet!!
