I ALWAYS wave to other bikers, no matter what type/brand of 2 wheeler they're riding - if I'm turning I still wave, if I'm about to shift I still wave then shift, or wave while shifting clutchless. But when I wave and others dont return the favor (typically Harleys) they get a big earfull of my Brocks Megaphone. F*cking Harley cocks and their stupid assed, egotistical pride. I know not all are that way, but those that are can meet me in the alley for some brutal lessons in courtesy.

I'd rather be cremated, mixed with paint, and then sprayed onto the front of my own bike for my buddies to take turns running laps at the local tracks........or, am I broken and disturbed to think this way? Hahahaha

Ok, perhaps some of our LEOs or armchair traffic cops can make me smarter

Illegal to change lanes within 100 feet ( before & after ) an intersection. Illegal to pass a vehicle turning from a single-laned intersection. Illegal to project violent behavior towards other drivers. All of these laws are subject to vary in penalty dependant upon the law-enforcing officer's attitude at that time, as well as his/her judgement casting skills in general :D:D -
Wow, tough crowd......looks to me like the guy was just out havin a beer and inviting common buddies to join him? But I'm new here and have no clue about yer'alls history together

Hate hearing bad things happening to good folk - Hoping for the best...

Check into Wynns Powercharge or their fuel system cleaner - this stuff boasts improved consistency in fuel delivery and enhanced performance along with improved mileage. You can buy through BrocksPerformance.com or possibly other online vendors - I'm going to try it in my bike for some "butt-dyno" results first then try it in my truck - but it is supposed to be good for any engine's fuel system

2smokes are sadly a dying breed.......unfortunate, but inevitable. They'll become backwoods relics in the next 10-20 yrs. Buy the newest model you can between a 250-380cc 2stroke woods weapon, even in stock form/jetting they have PLENTY of power for trails, hills, and WFO to hang with about anything 4-cycle - and if you're not racing it, no topend worries but every few seasons unless you're putting 20hrs a week in all summer - WAY cheaper/easier rebuild than valvetrain components/headwork. Just go easy at first and after a few rides, you'll be roostin' your buddies and having the time of your life!

Oh by the way Beegreen, LOVE your sig line......one of the greatest movies I've ever seen and Sammy L made it that much more convicted!

Yeah, theres quite a difference between the two - I've always been used to keeping up the rev's on 2strokes to keep within the powerband - but thumpers got torque throughout the rev range and take some getting used to - my old 96'r is just about bored out to the limit on this sleeve, and has gobs of power with the Fatty pipe - gives most 450's a run for their money ( equally loaded down, I'm about 280lbs ) but my favorite part is I can dump it, jump back on, and I'm only one kick away from riding again - these 4strokes can be a real bear to fire back up w/o elec start - just one of those bittersweet realities with 4stroke power.
-
I don't blame you one bit, I'm just partial to the old 2 smokes - were what I was raised on, so I love 'em more than the thumpers........especially since there's no valvetrain to worry about, top ends are simple to do, and they're typically lighter than stock 4 strokes -- but maybe someday I'll make the switch. For now, I don't mind losing a couple hundred on the bike if I can get some fun out of her again this summer before I sell

I'm in the middle of a ground up restoration of my '96 CR250R - blew the trans last season, quoted from Honda on the left case-half only - $350!! WTF!!! Found a complete engine on ebay and got it shipped for $400, so now I've got a spare cylinder / head cap / carb / right side case / trans / crank-n-rod...etc. Was told the engine I bought ran fine then all of a sudden just died, but still kicked over - so I was assuming the top end went, which is fine since I was only needing the bottom end and cases. The used engine's piston skirt is blown apart but cylinder looks good until I split the cases and found that part of the piston had ran between the crank weight and case bottom, CRACKED.......damnit.......think some JB weld in and around it should cure the problem but the bottom end was the whole reason I bought this thing in the first place......damnit, again. I'm doing the work myself with all the parts I've got now, should be able to build one good engine from both bad ones. I was afraid of being bent over like you're talking about, so I'm taking my time and going slow. All new bearings and gasket kit came in over the winter, now that the weather is breaking I'll be able to get back on the job. Once the engines built, I'll beadblast the frame and have powdercoated to match the new bodykit........once it's done, it'll be and a blacked out Honda with about $900 invested after buying the bike 3 years ago for $1200 - all in all, hope to break even on the resell after break-in and some fun first

Well.......thanks for saving me the time and trouble of watching it, but I've never heard of it.

Rickey Gadson tests out the new 2011 ZX10 on the strip
Helmutt replied to Casper's topic in Pics and Vids
155 is a very admirable 1/4 speed for a 1000 with no more than they bolted onto it -- Good to see someone is going to be able to keep up with the new Beemer's, but Kaw should've used the ZX14 clutch and basket for the new ZX10, then it'd be more bulletproof........14's clutches are awesome and a quick spring/spacer kit away from holding up to 300hp pass after pass after pass after pass........I'm always hearing about guys getting HUNDREDS of passes on stock OE clutches - good stuff -
So.......what's the cost of fuel to you before the consumer gets plowed at the pump?? I'd just really like to see how much is made between supplier and station vs. station and consumer - but I don't expect an answer

That's absolutely ridiculous........I'd say the hell with that artist - he obviously doesn't want your business - and from what your saying about the size of the piece, you're looking at 2 or 3 visits EASILY.........that's "pay-by-the-hour" tattoo work so you'd think this guy would be ALL over it. I went to Eric Baumann at Extreme Tattoo & Piercing in Piqua Ohio years ago about sleeving my left arm, and he simply used a felt pen and basic sketched it on my arm after we'd discussed what design I wanted. That very day I was in the chair getting ink laid -- I've found that he and his other artists appreciate custom work moreso than picking something off their walls or out of their books, and with custom work tend to bend with you on pricing as well. So, I'd take my business elsewhere.......busy or not, this guy should've worked with you within a reasonable timeframe.

ASV's are one of the best levers on the market, but you'll pay good money for good parts too.......think they're around $225 a set at most sites. I'd love a set for mine if you're feeling generous!!!

Disregard, just found it on the events thread......wont make it - got my daughter this wkend and besides, they're calling for rain this side of Ohio

When and where is this "dyno day"?

Has anyone got a pair of Icon Field Armors? Just got a pair but would like to hear some personal field test results, I find they're very stiff but needed something more protective than my trusty old workboots for track attacking and backroad blasts

It's cool to get help from fast guys, they know all the tricks to get your lap times down.........I can respect the fact you don't want to partake in trackdays, it's an expensive hobby that's for sure -- I'm planning on getting a day or 2 in this year, but I can't afford to go every month or anything crazy like that. It's all good, we'll get some seat time together somewhere this year -- you can school me on your favorite backroads!!

One lucky guy, that last pic is the best of the bunch! Makes me want my new Connie NOW! Then I could get my own "rest stop bunny"!!

Let me know if you need some cash for stickers, I'd like half a dozen or so......got toys that need decoratin'

Oh, you'd KILL me in braking but yeah, it'd be fun - I like the keyhole but its my kryptonite when theres traffic, I'm timid in a crowd unless we're straightlining - then I enjoy flickin it outside and twistin' her open....but this bike double-duties as my daily ride, so cant risk rashin' her up - someday I plan on getting another trackbike together and really drop knees at the track......but probably be a senior class rider by the time I can afford it Haaaahaaha

I definitely will, I'd like to go up against an xtra-noviced Busa and see how well the big Kaw fairs against 'em
