  1. Just stick to tighter streets with more corners so we can't get past 7k and you'll hang just fine :D:D
  2. Oops, yeah sorry for the jack tim......and 80 lbft. aint bad for a twin -- those TL's are some torquey rides too for what they are
  3. Yes, his drag map ( at least what I've seen ) specifies no air filter and race fuel -- tried mine out ONCE, but I'm affeared of running long without an air filter and only had hi-test pump gas in it - definitely picked up the power a little bit but I could smell fuel when I'd wot it. I dig the setup I've got, as is......Steetmeg sounds good imo, and the bike pulls GREAT thru the rev's - even with my flies still in
  4. Damn Nick, was this torque rate with Brocks full system? Mine's hittin' just over 114 lbft. with the StreetMeg system and drag map lit. But my street map takes it down to just under 108 lbft.
  5. Damn, thats the best labor rate EVER!!!!
  6. Can always go cheap at stickerjunkie.com Think they're $30 per 100? :edit: They're $25/100 for small and $35/100 bumper sticker size......then again, ya get what you pay for These are nothing fancy, 2 color (unless u upgrade), and not custom cut
  7. You seem like a fun fella to know;)
  8. I'm with Nick on the Roadsmarts.....they're holding up well against the power these big brutes are puttin through 'em - and highway miles are primarily why I bought the 2ct's.....well, that AND twistin to the pin often doesnt last on softer tires either;)
  9. Check with Hoblick, he seems to have a good grasp on repairs around here and nothing but good stuff all over this forum about him - I've never done one but doesnt seem TOO involved per my bike's service manual
  10. Thankyou so much for the albeit brief, yet gracious explanation of where I obviously failed in this game you speak of... I am far from forum saavitity, so any help you extend will always be met with upmost gratitude. You truly are an enlightened gentlemen, and a scholar; as your bountiful wit has only encouraged me to beg for your mentorism -- a thousand pardons good sir, I do pray for your forgiveness for my previously pseudo-retarded reply. Wait.......do you smell that? Sarcasm smells like anus;) Just kiddin' man - no harm no foul, I'm still learning proper etiquette here
  11. Sorry bro, got a friend that had his TL1000 stolen along with a bunch of other bikes north of Dayton several years ago.......they ended up catching the fools doing it, but nothing of his bike -- done parted out and sold off. These were 3 thieves in a panel van that would pull up, hop out the back, grab your bike and lift it in, slam the doors and they're gone.......he was only home for 5 minutes to grab his Chatterbox so we could get together and ride that night -- Keep your eyes peeled, I'm sure this thing is stashed away somewhere waiting to be sold off or parted out after the heat drops. I HATE A THIEF!! I cant imagine how invaded you feel over it -- if it were mine, I'd want a weekend alone with the fux that stole it so I could enjoy the muffled screams in the silence of my basement until they've bled out. Good luck bro, hoping for SOME SORT OF RESULT at least.
  12. Maybe by the time I'm done putting her back together it will be dried out......fun place to burn fuel but it's a good 2 hour haul for me to get there -- way better than anything local to me and about as far as Haspin, just a lot less drunks to worry about;)
  13. O......k? Thanks for the rep! But I'm not sure what you mean - if you're consoling me on losing the BASH contest here, I wasn't even trying. I promise I'll perform to your expectations another time
  14. My ex filed against me after we split - but we weren't married, and the only reason I had to pay was because my ex pursued it.......the 4 years prior to that ( and we WERE living together ), I didn't have to pay anything and my ex had been getting WIC support as well -- so I'm assuming that due to insurance premiums the state's incurring is why they're going after you for support.......we all know how the states are, if it costs them.....it's gonna cost us. That being said, you're in a bit of a different boat than I was........I'm not sure of the criteria involved when the STATE files against the father -- The only thing I do know is that your support payments will be affected by how much you make vs. how much your fiance' makes........So, if she makes close to the same as you do and you're in the $30k per year neighborhood, expect your weekly payments to be in the $60-$90 a week range ( it's a pretaxed deduction of course, so there's no claiming it ) and CSEA ( Child Support Enforcement Agency ) will get a cut of that each week - all in all, you'll throw away $40 or $50 a month on processing fee's but you're son is going to have decent health coverage for that $40 or $50 too -- well worth it if you ask me. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT MISS PAYMENTS!! I was told by my lawyer that if you miss 5 or 6 payments within 1 years time collectively, the state can come and take you away to jail -- even if you can only make a $5/week payment, make sure to send SOMETHING every week to keep them off your back - but anything you don't pay will go to "arrears" and stack up against you........Best of luck!!!
  15. Props to this guy's work -- Mike is VERY knowledgable and quick when it comes to most anything motorcycle and sometimes he will diagnose over the phone to help you fix it yourself. The ONLY negative thing I have to say is that his workshop is far too small for all the work he has - He does have intentions on expanding his operation, but this guy is good at staying busy so he hasn't got to that yet. He works on just about any year/make/model motorcycle, 3wheeler, or quad........I've seen old Motoguzzi's and Norton's to newer quad's/dirtbikes - good gent to deal with and doesn't mark up his parts at all - what he pays for the parts is what you pay for the parts. $20 a wheel to swap tires and balance if you bring 'em in ( off the bike ) Not sure what he charges if you ride the bike in.......either way, straight up fella to do business with!
  16. Don't know how many of you trailride in the Chilicothe area but was wondering if the trails were still open? Haven't heard anything different or researched it to know, but I'm about halfway through my resto project on my old 96'er and will be ready to roost my buddies again this summer. Last time down there was 3 seasons ago and it was a mudpit as it had rained the entire day before, and the day of going........but since we'd planned the trip, we went anyway and it sucked -- couldn't ride hard, the main trails were all rutted out pretty bad so we rarely left 2nd gear - but that's where I blew the trans in my old beater so wanted to get her back together and through the break-in before heading that way - just curious if it's still open to the public and still free to ride...
  17. Hell that's a girls bike, so we all know it's not fast!! Pink seat and graphics gave that away Seriously?!?! He DRILLED the reeds to improve air/fuel delivery from the INJECTOR UPGRADE??? WHATEVER......Yammie didn't inject 90's 2-strokes and he's upgraded his from a KX500? Like THAT'S an easy swap and go...... And his buddy custom made an exhaust because NOBODY offers a bigbore pipe kit for a 250 2-stroke? I mean damn, aftermarket 2 stroke exhaust systems only fit up to twice the bike he's got so he went custom?? And he runs 90:1 mix because of microblue coated internals? POSSIBLY.....But, I see a top end replacement coming SOON considering the rest of his story........This poor fella has absolutely no clue does he? Anybody got extra cash to BUY this guy a clue?
  18. I bought a front stand from MotoSport.com - Yanashiki brand that has plastic tipped legs that sit inside the bottom fork adjusters - cost me $55 shipped and picked up a universal rear stand from Harbor Freight for under $25. The front stand won't interfere with front tire removal at all and it's cheaper than a PitBull front stand
  19. Glad you're ok, and the cruiser may be comfy but will NEVER outbrake that ninja. I plan to relax into a cruiser too.......eventually
  20. Welcome! I'm north of Dayton but not too far north -- I'd keep the RR and sell off the 250 to fund trackdays and track goodies for the RR. Or take the RR to some trackdays and offer to trade up for a ready-to-run trackbike??
  21. Helmutt

    heyhey

If you're travelling, drop pegs may be a good idea to keep your legs a little more comfy......I got a set of Buell pegs on my ninja, definitely gave me that little extra inch needed to keep me happier on long rides -- between the seat, bar risers, a set of drop pegs, and some decent luggage you should have a nice hyper-sporttourer - be sure to post up pics of the bike soon, and especially of the trip once your back!!
  22. ^^+1!! Lemon Pledge works well after you've cleaned anything chromed or painted but takes a little elbow grease to buff out -- make sure to use the Lemon!! Some of the other "flavors" only attract ugly chix;)
  23. Looks awesome on tv, maybe someday I can make it out there - congrats on having a kickass job!!!
